Swingers Forum - How Do you Tell

Hello all,

We were wondering how do you tell who is in the lifestyle and who is not.

How do you ask people if they are in the lifestyle.

Thanks for the Help

Search back through the topics...this one has been mulled over many times...might give ya some good info...
As I've mentioned in other such posts - if you look over in the other bed, and see a guy fucking your wife, while you're fucking his - there's a resonably good chance they're in the Lifestyle.
How to Tell...

How To Tell If Someone Is A Swinger

Want to know how to tell if someone is a swinger? It is fairly simple to tell when taking certain details in consideration. A swinger is someone who is in an open relationship which allows each partner to date other people. Whether it is in marriage or just as boyfriend and girlfriend; swingers are very open to options outside the relationship.

The first indication of someone being a swinger is their overly friendly disposition. Swingers are usually very eager to please whoever they meet even to the point of purchasing rather expensive gifts for their new friends. Contrary to what most think about them, they are not overly flirty as much as just extremely helpful and courteous.

It is all in the eyes. The gaze of a swinger is different than that of others. They usually make solid, more aggressive eye contact with those who they have affection for. The majority of their flirting when first encountered is done with their eyes. The eyes are the most effective and safe ways to gage reactions.

Swingers are very "touchy/feely". A sure sign of someone being a swinger is their desire to make repeated physical contact. Swingers love to hug and even touch the shoulders of arms of the object of their affections. At times their desire to make physical contact is overwhelming.

The swinger is always quick when suggesting a dinner date with their new friends. What better way to get to know others than to throw a dinner party with drinking and invite 'prospective' friends. Swingers know that their lifestyle is a minority lifestyle that some have an aversion to. Couples in an open relationship always want to approach 'hooking up' as delicately as possible.
Although swinging is an alernative way of life, it is becoming increasingly popular in todays more tolerable society. More and more couples are learning to accept the mechanics of an open relationship and allowing their identities to be know either through discovery or outright announcement.

Use key words in conversation and see where it leads. Words like "lifestyle" and "vanilla" are good starters. Sexual talk can also open up by lowering people's barriers. Talk about places like Jamaica, Key West, or specific places like Desire's and Hedo can also open things up. If they have children discuss vacations without children and places to go. Bring up news topics that are lifestyle related, like nude cruises or the YOLO cruise if they have been in the media lately, or make up a news story while discussing sex in general.

Had a friend who was at a work meeting and they were discussing something and he called the type of individual they were discussing vanilla. Two people asked what he meant and he said that they were vanilla, plain, normal, nothing unusual or flavorful. They excepted that at face value. Another of his coworkers leaned over from behind him and said "You know that's a pretty lifestyle specific description after all".
Or, just hang out in the laundry room of the hotel you are staying in. Someone will invite you to a swinger party for that evening. That's what happened to me and my brother last May while we were folding our clothes LMAO. I won't discuss details but it turns out that particular party wasn't my thing, for reasons I won't get into, so I didn't stay around. But it was kind of funny and really, it sparked my interest though and got me thinking more about getting involved in the lifestyle. Now if I can just get invited to a party that IS more my thing.... :D
Must have been a very interesting party JD!
