We live out in the boonies. We are within 20 minutes driving of a couple of decent sized towns/cities (chapel hill, Durham, or Raleigh at about 45 minutes). So far we haven\'t had much luck finding locations to meet folks of similar minds. Anyone have any suggestions? Perhaps we can figure out how to utilize the internet better for this.
As it is we\'ve used the \"normal\" bars with some luck. I guess there\'s a good thing about living near college towns!

no clubs in raleigh or chapel hill or within 50 miles listed on swingular... 
Like MONTANA where there\'s less than a million people in the entire state!!! And to meet a couple may take a 3-4 hour drive? Add to this 5-6 months of WINTER and distance becomes an issue.
Living in a rural area, we want to be sure the couple we\'re going to meet for drinks, dinner, etc is at least real. To drive 2 hours for dinner and THEN find out is no fun at all. We find many couples are overly discreet because of the small communities and tend to NOT want to meet in a group setting such as a lifestyles party or social. We\'ve held a couple of dances and a Halloween Party - the #1 reason many couples would not come is bescause they couldn\'t risk being discovered.
We do miss the clubs....there are no on-premise or off-premise clubs in Montana. The closest off-premise is a 5 hour drive, and the closest on-premise is a 12 hour drive.
So if you want to leave the cities for the ruaral life, hopefully it isn\'t far to a major city. If it is...be prepared!

I updated the profile to be more clear. We would actually love to meet couples, if only for an expansion of like-minded friends we could have fun with.
We\'ve thought about a trip to a club and an overnight. We could do it, but I\'d hate to invest the money (we\'d have to board our large dogs) and travel to find a dozen people at a roach motel or something. If someone knows of a very large event somewhere between Atlanta and DC, though, and we can get a reasonably good assurance that it\'ll have a large attendance and be a nice place, we\'d love to go.

It\'s a decent way to meet single women. We just figured trying the internet would be interesting since the folks on a site like this are already of a certain mind. At a normal bar you never know what you are going to meet or what their expectations are (like gals looking for a soul mate or husband or something). Of course, that can be part of the fun too!
Maybe there are fewer single gals on the site because they can more easily get what they are after? It seems that meeting them is easier done in person, but meeting couples would be easier here. I don\'t have a problem talking to a single girl about what I\'d like (neither of us do), but asking a couple if they are swingers seems like dangerous territory with some people, who could get really offended.
It\'s possible that we just don\'t know the couple dynamic very well, having only had singles (males or females) up till now. Maybe most folks wouldn\'t be annoyed or angry to be asked in person.

What\'s interesting is that you live so close to a lifestyle club... Burlington. Go up to Interstate 40 go west 2 miles to exit 145 exit and turn right again almost 50 feet next to Waffle House go back to the LaQuinta Inn. Check the site out that I sent to you in the email... CCC in Burlington. Think you\'ll find things are not as dead as you think... CF also has parties in Durham once a month or more... Check that site also... You are really living in a hot bed of lifestylers...

Travel a bit and have fun thats what we do :-) You sound like a fun cpl Feb 17,18&19th we will be about a 4hr drive from you in Gatlinburg TN. have rented a cabin to meet a few other cpls and do some snow skiing and of course some swinging before and after we get off the mountains.
