Admin, this site requires you to be 18 to join due to its sexual and adult content. However I feel the posting of pic of minors - usually those of member's children, sends a mixed message of what this site is for. While I'm certainly not insinuating our members are pedophiles, it's not a far stretch to say that pics on this site are used for adult purposes.

Many other adult lifestyle sites will not allow pics of minor to be posted, even those that are tasteful and family type.

I personally am disturbed by the lack of common sense that members here are displaying by posting their children's pics on an ADULT SEXUAL LIFESTYLE site. I would suggest that perhaps Swingular rethinks it's picture policy and discontinue allowing members to post said pics of minors. In the long run, it might protect you in the future from any type of lawsuit not to mention, lets face it, should you be investigated for anything, pictures of children will NOT go over well with either the Attorney General, Department of Children's Welfare, or a plethera of anti child porn watch dogs. Look at it as covering your own ass.

I concur. Being liberal is not an excuse for poor judgment. Reminds me of the saying..."common sense isn't so common."

Well truth be told, I think people who post those pics are total fucking morons. But I thought that went without saying. ;)

Thanks for the stern warning to us but it's highly unnecessary. We don't condone such activity. Putting pictures in your photo albums that contain ANY images of children violates our picture posting policies. It states this clearly every time you upload an image. We strictly adhere to this policy, however, we cannot catch every person who violates it. We rely on our members to report any picture policy violations as they find them. We try to scan the images ourselves as much as possible but there are millions of photos so we can't see them all.

If you find such a violation, please report it.
This is my post from earlier today on another thread (1:53 pm to be exact):

This is somewhat off the subject, but.................
My pet peeve here DOES involve kids - and it's the folks (there are a LOT of them) who have their kids (or pictures of them) in their Public Album photos.
I realize Admin can't possibly screen and police every pic, but how could anyone be so fucking stupid?
In addition to actually posting kids' pictures, be careful that pictures of you don't also feature your children in photos on the wall or the desk. It's unseemly.

That actually got me to thinking about a specific pic in my profile, I am usually really good about that stuff BEFORE the camera comes out but there was one that we did in front of the fireplace...well you could see there were pics there but you couldn't see detail...I still blurred them because I don't want to even come close to crossing that line!!! kisses...Naugh-Ty

I saw that in the TOS someone copied and pasted. I just assumed (wrongly of course) that because it was done, it was allowed. My bad for not looking it up FIRST before this post. Glad to see I just missed it. But maybe this thread will serve to REMIND members to check their profiles for pics that are not appropriate.

thanks.
On another site that we belong to they "approve" the pics before they can be added to the profile to ensure that there aren't any inappropriate images.
having a competent set of eyeballs on every pic posted on profiles and in the forums would be a significant expense. the "other" site that does this also charges monthly for access.

Adding a "Report Inappropriate Picture" button would be the easiest/cheapest way to harness the power of the mob, I mean members. Easy enough to add intelligence on the back end to help keep the load as low as possible.

That is a really good idea...of course right now all one would have to do is send a quick email to admin with the name of the profile that has the pic but it would make it easier...

Liberal, this is a conservative site. thus protection required, we assumed protection of minors required?
We completely agree with Blueeyes on this..

By turning it into something other than email, it would allow admin to do other fun things- like tracking accuracy. If someone keeps reporting false positives, their submissions could be moved to the bottom of the queue. Or if enough users with high accuracy submit the same picture, it could be automatically blocked "pending review". If an account gets flagged more than twice for inappropriate pictures, then all of their pictures could be held for review. There's all sorts of fun stuff you can do with databases :)

Oh I'm sure the possibilities are endless...I was just saying that until something like that is in place we still have a way of helping admin out and protecting children :)
We are on another site that allows the Lifetime Members to approve or deny submitted photos before they are allowed to be posted. I personally have denied a pic from some idiot who took a face pic with a webcam that clearly showed the faces of children playing in the background. No pics of anyone under the age of 18 should be shown on a Swing site. I feel the same way about pets, but that is just a personal opinion! LOL :P
HOLY FREAKIN SHIT ... can't even believe that this is in the forum or needing to be discussed here . how can anyone be so stupid as to post children on a site like this , not that i have seen any , but apparently there must be some reason for this forum post . wow i am just sitting here trying to come to understand how anyone could mix children and this lifestyle . loss for words . k
I just got one today, pretty much makes me sick and you should fuqn try and care for your kid more and take them out of the photo. If your too stupid to edit you child out or take a picture sans child, than you shouldn't be using the web. Intolerable and makes me SICK.
We agree that there should not be pictures of minors here. We have some specific rules for sharing visual media with our lifestyle friends. One is no children are involved, either in the media, or viewing it. Another is we don't post any face pics of playmates without their express consent. The first as far as pics, vids, of minors is pretty easy as we don't allow them near our "activities." The second one requires us to review anything we wish to share to see if any of the face can be seen, if so we keep it private or delete it. We have had plenty of awesome pics and vids that we have deleted because someone else's face was in them. We have a special folder for media that we wish to share, and that helps us keep our rules. If we know that a minor is watching us when we are on cam (as we like to do from time to time) we shut down the feed until we are appropriately presentable. That's just us.
Admin, I notice there's a "REPORT MEMBER" tab on the profile page.
Exactly what is it and how does it work?
Is it something we should use if we see an inappropriate picture?

That is exactly what it is for. REPORT A MEMBER allows you to send us an immediate email message with details of what you found to be inappropriate, whether it be a picture violation, spam, a profile filled out with non-sense, etc...

This is the easiest method to get information like that to us and we deal with it immediately. Adding additional methods such as a report button on each image is unnecessary at this time as the REPORT A MEMBER function works just as good. You can find the REPORT A MEMBER button on each profile under TOOLS. It looks like a shield.
Thanks Admin for all your clarifications and for the advice on how we can help make this a better and safer environment. :D
I think that everyone posting will agree that pictures of children by themselves or in the family do not belong here. But I can see where a naturist or what most call nudist might make the mistake without thinking, since it would be normal in the naturist lifestyle. I personally would never post a picture with children in it here but I do not make the rules. I would hope that no parent would put a picture of their children with the faces showing on any adult only site. However, if faces are removed or completely blocked and there is no nudity in the picture, I do not see where there would be any harm in the posting of such in a profile.
If this site expands into places in Europe, as I suppose it might, we would need to understand the acceptable morays of that country or culture before condemning anyone. That does not mean that a picture would need to be permitted. Could the administrator clarify this position?
I would imagine since this site is based in the US, they have to abide by our laws here regardless of where the member is from??
I have kids myself and I'm pretty over protective of them.
I don't post pics with them on here either.
But I honestly find it hard to believe people are that sick they would sit there jerkin it to a photo with like a newborn baby or something.
but for those sickos that exist out there go get some help before you murder a child or something.
We don't have children, but I really don't see any reason for anyone to post pictures of their children on an adult site centered around sex. Not unless the caption reads "Missing: Please help find".

I think simply e-mailing Admin when you find someone who breaks the photo policy makes more sense than adding a button. The button will make it so people will click when they simply don't like a picture as opposed to an actual violation.

As for laws, I don't know of any law that makes it illegal, here or in the EU. Simply in bad taste and foolish. But I am hoping that people who have posted pictures of their children have done so because they either weren't paying attention to the background (common) or were posting their children for the same reason they post their car/motorcycle/boat, they want to show it off. In either case it's pretty much people not thinking of their children as a sexual object (which is good) but forgetting that they are posting them on a sex site (which is bad).
I agree.

The stupidity of my fellow man never ceases to amaze me.
I have family that are nudists and never once was I in a picture when I was a kid. Hell we couldn't even afford a camera.
wow I was about to open a can of woop ass........lol.....good one:D
I think I'd like to see a way to close a thread. Too many of these conversations go on, and on, and on, until they've beat the proverbial dead horse into dust! How many different ways can more people agree that pics of children are inappropriate here? ENOUGH ALREADY! LOL
oh calm down. There is a way to press ignore, its called the power button. You're gonna lose your breath if your telling people opinions don't matter. Look you just kept the thread going by posting your very important comment.
"LOL" usually indicates sarcasm or humor!
People with photos of kids should just be added to the list of the brain dead. Let's see...it's an adult site, the site is sexually oriented, most of us are here for sexual experiences...just where do they not get not to have children in their photos? Administration should not have to look through every photo. In fact, why should they even have to warn them...just common sense. The site members are adults and should use the brains that GOD gave them. Geeze! Where will stupidity end?

Kisses,
Brian & Nancy

It won't.
You can't fix stupid.

(hey, that was pretty good. I just invented that saying - maybe it'll catch on) lol
