Why dont more people on this site have the yahoo messanger. It makes it easier to get into contact with eachother. I am sure that alot of people have the yahoo messanger but why wouldnt people allow swingular to allow other people from this site to send them a message through the yahoo messanger. We are curious and thought we would try to find out why many people dont use the Instant messanger service from yahoo. I also think that some people just have not found out how to turn the instant message service on.

You can add your instant messenger ID to your profile. We, and many others had it there and it did not show up after the site crashed. You can put yours on your profile by going to your SETTINGS, then look for the last item under MY PROFILE SETTINGS, ADD/EDIT INSTANT MESSENGER ID\'s.

ICQ is there too, thats an older messenger app. I think my first ID number on ICQ was like in the 5,000 range i remember the first day it came out i donwloaded it an set it up on a 28.8 modem LOL. We have come a long way since then!

We are surprised that no one has mentioned getting random ims or \"drive by\" ims as we like to call them. We removed our yahoo id from our profile as we would have a host of ims with just hello or something crude. If you are going to add someone to your yahoo messenger friends list, at least let them know that you are from the site and your name on here. Otherwise you may be blocked, ignored, etc.
I\'m glad this thread came up, I hadn\'t noticed that my IM screen name had dissappeared from the profile. It\'s back up now, I use yahoo as little_techno_geek.

Okay I love to chat on Yahoo IM. I have my IMname added to the profile in the proper location. But when I click the Send an IM or the Add to Friend\'s messanger list, I get funny code at the top of the screen. Am I doing something wrong? Or is this something that the wonderful admins have not had a chance to fix? I would love to chat with all my new Utah friends and have a chance to get to know them a bit before the Spice Party on Saturday.

One great reason for using Yahoo or AIM or MSN is that you can video chat even video conference and you really see who you are talking to. It is hard for a single guy pretending to produce a spouse on the cam. And all those out dated pix are useless when the cam is live. I don\'t mind turning on the cam because I am single and my pix are current (or at least recent) and there are no surprises. I prefer Yahoo (tkb1496) but also use MSN (orsun6) and AIM (orsun6)
