The American Fork Police Department says it will set up a DUI checkpoint over Halloween weekend.
Police Chief Lance Call says police will be looking for impaired drivers and that the checkpoint will serve as a deterrent to drinking and driving.
The Daily Herald of Provo reports one checkpoint will be set up on Northwest State Street at about 280 North on Friday night. Southbound traffic on State Street will be funneled into a single lane to pass through the checkpoint.
Funding for the increased enforcement comes through a state grant from the Department of Public Safety.

Thanks for the heads up, but not going that far. Any word for West Jordan area??
SOFTNCUDDLY - such sad truth!
While we ABSOLUTELY hate most cops and get sick to our stomachs knowing that our tax money goes to allowing them to harass us more than "protect". We ABSOLUTELY hate drunk drivers worse!
PEOPLE PLEASE DONT DRINK AND DRIVE!!! - I wouldn't want to live with killing some family or kids - would you??? Besides, you only give the cops more excuses and reasons for doing these check points to begin with.
