Hey there! Being brand-new here we had some questions we thought we'd ask the wiser locals...
From what we've been able to gather thus far, there seems to be a great community of *real* people here. As such, we want to make sure we treat everyone respectfully and wondered what might be the best approach when you don't think you click with a couple who'd like to be friends?
** What have you found to be a respectful way to let someone know they're not your type (before or after accepting a friend request?) Evaluating people on looks and a short bio probably sounds a bit shallow - we're guessing that in-person events are a great way to get a better sense of who you click with...
** Bonus round question - Do you generally respond to requests if there are no face pics from the requester in a message or on their public profile? Maybe it's just discretion (why, no cousin Mary, I didn't mean to show those pics to you
) but we definitely prefer seeing people's smiling faces in advance.

we have, responded back with a we are not interested, and that didn't seem to work so well.
we have gone with a thank you for you friend request, but we see you do not have any pictures of your man, could you send us one so we can see if all parties are intrested. It is rare to get a responce from them.
We have just found that if no pictures are provided of both the male and the female, we will not keep them on our list. If we find them attractive, that we would like to see them, we keep them on our list. We will send out messages from time to time, and if they do not respond to any we remove them.
It has been best to meet at parties, this helps a ton.

There is an option to click on reply and it basically says that after reviewing their profile you don't feel you would be a good match but wishes them good luck in their search. That's the nice way. Sometimes I use that. If I get a request from someone that totally goes against what's in my profile I figure they either didnt' read my profile or they read it but are too stupid to comprehend it..and neither of those situations require a polite no thank you. I just delete them with no explanation. If they continue to send me requests then there is a no holds barred ass chewing. No means no and asswipes that push it deserve to be schooled.

Good question.....We consider several things. If they didn't bother to send an email with the request...we have no problem deleting it with no reply, either. We don't always, tho, especially if there is some intial attraction.
Pictures...bluntly...if they have no pictures to show...for whatever reason they claim...they usually get deleted too. No one LIKES to post their stuff all over the internet..so we usually choose the ones who have more in common with us...and DO IT ANYWAY!
And lastly...IF we think they are hotter than hell? All bets are off and we try to put on our best game face....LOL
