Does anyone have any information about them? I saw them in a sex shop in Canada once but I don't know if they are legal here. Does anyone use them? If so, what do you use them for? Where do you get them?

Poppers are amyl nitrate, in essence. They are legal to purchase here in Utah and can usually can be found in adult stores. Sometimes they are sold as "head cleaner" for electronic equipment and are almost always labeled as such or also as a "room freshener" or "incense"... Basically it's used for huffing and produces a very intense head rush, a quick warming sensation and is usually used to heighten climax.
Just as an F.Y.I., the frequent use of poppers can become addictive! They tend to prolong climax as well and can also delay climax... I've noticed that some of the people I know that use them frequently seem to become dependent on them for climax. Also, if your play partners are slow to climax, poppers seems to only make matters worse, in a way. I think for an occasional source of amusement, they are cool....but as a regular item to involve in play, they may not be the best choice.

People use them to mess with their neurological system (brain, etc.) to feel light-headed. If you want to feel light-headed, just stand up too fast! You didn't ask, but I'm not screwing with my brain like that; I'm so attached to it, and it has served me well.
One of the things I like about the lifestyle is that you feel great doing something that is simple and natural. I don't need to add anything; it's all onboard.

Thanks all! So far...sounds like something pretty risky and probably dangerous and something to definitely stay away from. I was under the impression it was something relatively harmless.

I'm certainly not advocating poppers, by any means. But in a relative way, used on an occasional basis, they are probably ok. As a comparison, wall to wall carpeting produces off-gassing for up to 18 months in your home.. The chemicals that off gas from carpeting are similarly irritating to the neurological system, but far worse than poppers over the long term. I'm not trying to expand the conversation, just trying to present a reasonable perspective.
I personally am not a fan of poppers, they tend to leave me with a headache. lol But that they aren't any more or less damaging that anything else we willingly expose ourselves to, it's all relative. It's about choices and moderation. Unfortunately we are sometimes inclined to hyper focus on certain things because we are told something is bad, but if it's bad and we still want it.... like carpeting, we go ahead anyway.... lol Go figure.

Glad I have wood floors! LOL (Probably bad chemicals in those, also). I'm all about everything in moderation but I have never even smoked pot and I get sick from more than two glasses of wine! The heightened sensation seems very appealing though. I saw a porn scene where the man was being dominated by the woman (I wasn't looking for it, just stumbled accross it and no, I'm not into that......much)

poppers is used by a lot of gay men we have known. it relaxes all there muscles so they can take more in side there ass. i have tryed it and u can :-) but i ushualy can't stay hard with useing it either so it's not much fun if ol woody won't show up for the party...

Just as an FYI...."Poppers" are a Vaso-dilator - meaning, it relaxes the constriction of blood vessels. With those of us with heart issues, this could be a BAD idea. Amil Nitrate has also been used to counteract arsenic poisoning.

It is for sure a bad drug fix. I had a friend that died from doing it on his first try.
yeah please don't take that crap, bad news and will deplete oxygen to the brain. NO BUENO. But if you need to get off and have a head rush I can take care of that
