I think that more women are addicted to porn then men... they just don't want to admit to it...
Of course the other side of the coin is a guy I work with, who almost lost his career over looking at porn on a work computer. Sounds like a horribly bad addiction problem until you get the Paul Harvey version of the story.
Wife won't let him look at or do anything at home, this includes her.
Wife controls/micromanages all aspect of their life.
Wife has an extramarital affair then blames all marital problems on his porn addiction.
I am willing to bet that very few of us on this site have a porn problem, maybe because the vast majority have active fulfilling sex lives. Wait a minute, maybe sex could be used to cure porn addictions,

why is it women against pornography? women anti-porn have no idea what the industry really is and are just pissed that nobody wants to pay them that kind of money to star in it. maybe if you knew what the industry was and the type of people in it, you'd have a different opinion. the industry isn't my cup of tea, but i'm plenty familiar with it. and if they wanna be in porn, that's their choice.

My STBX lost his job due to his porn addiction. And when he preferred porn to ME that is when it was over. I will say that he since now got it under control, but not till the damage was done.
That being said, I personally don't mind the occasional use/enjoyment from porn but SLCWANDERLUST said it best.

There is validity to the "porn is an addiction" argument, and maybe it really can be addictive. I don't have any problem at all with support groups to help people with any difficulty they are having in life. Support groups are fine, and possibly even helpful when not entirely just a group pity party. My true problem lies in organizations attempting to put a ban on something because someone else fucked up and went to far with it. Banning porn altogether is not the answer to someone else's "problem". I will always take severe issue when a person, group of persons, religion, or government tell me what I can or cannot do with my body or the bodies of any other consenting adult.
This makes as much sense as the PMRC did in the 80s vs hard rock/metal music ala my kid committed suicide because he listened to judas priest etc and violent video games turn people into a murderers.It all boils down to people don't want to take responsibilty for their own actions and parenting. If you ignore your spouse then don't get mad when they watch porn or go find someone else plain and simple. If you don't watch your kids and don't moniter what they do and teach them wrong from right don't be suprised when they ended up screwed up.
I'll also add where are the groups against Doctors getting their patients addicted to perscription narcatics. We personally going through this now , Becki has been dealing with migranes for many years and she has a very stressful job that deals with life and death situations everyday. So for the past year and half she has been dealing with severe back pain and not being able to sleep well. Did the doctors she had for the past year and half try to solve what was causing her back pain or sleeping problems. NO all they did was say here take this pain pill here take this sleeping pill and with her being trustworthy of the doctors since they have went to school for many years she followed their instructions. Until I stepped in and made her switch clinics and doctors and now she will have to go to detox to get off these pills after being told by the new doctor that there is nothing structurly wrong with her back , after being told for over a year she had many different things wrong with her back by the previous doctors to milk the insurance company. The new doctor says it's by tension from her job and the fact she works 12 hours a day where she sits down for those 12 hours and just probably needs to get more active and strecth , do yoga or get a massage from time to time.

Well we say fuck that. If I have to conform to the views of these self righteous ass holes, I'm not sure I wanna go. but yeah, what he said! People who want to restrict OTHER peoples' freedoms come up with the weirdest rationales for doing so. For example, Ted Bundy was interviewed and the righteous crowd immediately jumped on his statement that it all started with him reading Playboy magazine.
