On the home page are some links to tips and etiquette and such...read them but most of all...communication...with great communication and respect for each others feelings this can be the most rewarding lifestyle...if not it can and most likely will ruin what you have...it's been great for us for 17 years!! Hey! - I'm no expert I've been the LS as a single for longer then I have a couple but heres my 2 cents.
Upsides: Being in the lifestyle brings excitement into your relationship and fulfills ALOT of fantasies. It provides freedom and security at the same time. You get the chance to meet lots of wonderful people, make great friends who dont judge you for admiring everyones abs, boobs, and well- ya know.
Downsides- If you arent secure in yourself, or your partner this is not your best choice. I've been with a few couples and watch as She gets jealous, possisive, of her man, or emotionally attached to another.... He gets to open and "forgets" to ask his wife to join him on the play dates ect. ....
One of the Biggest keys ( IMHO ) Is comunitcation, love & respect for eachother, extablishing your own ground rules and for EACH partner to have a desire to be in the lifestyle. If he's the jealous type, or if she's just doing it for him- things can get ugly....
Some common ground rules are things like- No kissing on the mouth, No playing without eachother present, or, The female picks all female partners and the male- picks any male partners. Soft swing or full swing, same room, or no? Do you give out your phone number? Real email adress? Text aquaintences? These are all important questions to answer BEFORE the situation so its not threatening to either partner.
But if your doing it becuase you BOTH love the idea of getting down and dirty with another couple- Love watching you partner get teased and pleased in every which way- extablish your own ground rules and stick to it- keep a line of open and HONEST communication between you and your partner- Its ALOT ... ALOT ... ALOT of fun!
