My wife wants me to have muscles, and I want to give her what she wants! LOL
I looked in the mirror today and saw how far my belly has gotten, and decided enough is enough! Problem is, I don't know the first thing to working out and need someone to show me the ropes and keep me motivated.
How often would we go work out? 3 times a week? 4? If you live close, would we do it every day? I would really like to get some muscles and lose this belly!

First of all, GOOD for her. But you will not keep it up if it is not also for you. How much muscle you develop all depends on what you want to look like and how much time you want to spend lifting weights. Some people go every day and every other day and work half of the body. I would suggest that you start out slowly and also learn to modify your diet as well. I would suggest that you run a light workout 2 or 3 times a week to start and build slowly from there. People that push it to quickly tend to not stay with it and staying in shape is a lifelong commitment. Most places will have trainers that can help you improve one muscle set or the other if you wish to do that. Just do not let them push you too rapidly if you are really out of shape. The treadmill and such improve your stamina and affect sexual duration more than muscles, so don

Can we recommend triathlons? Don't be intimidated, there are different distances and only a mild form of athletism (sp?) is required to be decent. The big reason we luv to tri: variety is the spice of life and training on one sport gets old! Swimming, biking, and running gives you a good opportunity to break up the monotony of doing just one sport. Come tri with us some time

Never thought of triathalons..... Thanks for the info!
I(mark) go workout 5 days a week. I usually lift weights, and then play basketball. If anybody wants to go with me, feel free to message. I also agree with U_GOD801. If you want to stay toned you need to a have a good diet. (thats the hardest part for me.)
If you are interested i have gone through the National Strength and Connditioning course to be certified as a Strength and Conditioning coach. I am also on my last semester working towards my Bachelor's in athletic training. i have helped many people train, and as mentioned in others posts, triathlons are great. I do sprint tri's (half the distance on all the events) and love training for them. If you are interested i am in ogden daily for school, and would love to help you get into shape. email me if your interested.
