Megan talked me into clean shaving the neither regions. This is a first for me, and I'm not sure how I feel about it.
So ladies, lets hear your input.

Oops, I forgot to add the photo.

One more.
Also, a little defensively, I'll tell you I'm a "grower" not a "show-er" :-D

What about laser? Any input?
i got mine lasered. i like shaved or trimmed down and groomed. i almost prefer simply trimmed down to the minimum because when it starts getting stubbly it rubs on me and doesn't feel very pleasant. laser would be an excellent suggestion although i'm not sure i'd handle it well if i were male. mine hurt bad enough. lulz.

I'm pretty old school and I actually prefer just trimmed/groomed. I like a fairly natural look for both men and women. But that's just my opinion.
17 years ago I asked My sweetheart (now my wife) to shave it all off. The wonderful lady that she is she stepped out of the shower that evening shaved and looking amazing! Couple of hours of great sex later she announced "OK now YOUR turn to shave". Scared as all hell I carfully did, she loves it and we both have been shaved ever since. She does prefer that I only shave from a few inches above the base of my shaft down as she enjoys a bit of hair above to match my chest and belly.
Well I guess I have to figure this out... going for a Vasectomy in a few weeks and the doctor wants me to be shaved. So whats the best method? Now I've shaved before and in less than a day, it's growing back and being all stubble itchy and scratchy. I don't think I want to be shaving every single day, I would rather just keep trimmed, and since I have very hairy legs, my wife thinks it looks fine.. it looked odd with just the private area shaved and hair all around, and you can just forget about me trying to shave my entire body to make it look good.. that would take me 4 hours every day, and be a hopeless battle.
So whats the best method for temporary removal? just shave with a nice new razor? which brand of razor do I want for that? do I want single edge, twin blade? 3, 4, 5 blades? Is the wrong shaving cream going to burn? what do I want there? Should I even think about the stuff my wife uses, which does a good job for her, but she doesn't have the twins dangling down there. any input would be appreciated.

single blade, no more than 2 blades. you get more than that and it actually pulls at the skin too much and can end up being less effective and more likely to cause irritation. mark trims it all down with the electric hair trimmer down his legs (not bald, just trimmed down to the minimum length) and the general outter zone first. then simply uses shaving cream and his 2 blade razor (we tried the 4-5 razor things and don't like them anymore). we also prefer shaving creams with an oatmeal mix in them. wrong shaving cream won't burn.
just my personal opinion and experience. everyone has their own preferences. i switched back to a single blade and personally it works better for me.
I'll just say if men ask their wife or girlfriend to shave...take your own advice.
It definately looks hot! I will only be with someone who is shaved. Pubic hair smells bad, looks bad, increases the risk of transmitting STD's, and for men it makes you look smaller. When I first started shaving it was unpleasant for me because of razaor burn, time/hassle, stubble, etc. But after a year i was used to it and hardly ever get razor burn anymore. I can't imagine having it any other way now.
First time shavers..... use a new blade and shaving cream and afterwards (it burns a little but it's worth it) rub area down with rubbing alcohol and then rub a little neosporin all over where you shaved..... keeps razor burn away and soothes..... and it works better if you shave every day, and your skin gets used to it over time

We use a triple blade, and recently changed up to a Fusion razor..
Be brave, Stop by your local CVS/Walgreens/Rite Aid and pick up a home sugaring kit... We bought one, and havent gotten the sucker out.. you have to let it grow out/trim down to around 1/4 inch or less. Apply and RRRRRRIIIIIIIPPPP...

Totally shaved! Use to use a blade, but have to agree with everyone else about the bite...lol. Turned to an electric razor, saved a ton of money on blades. When you make it a regular part of your daily ritual your partner will thank you many times over.
In my experience women's razors tend to be more comfortable on the body than men's. The first time you're going to probably get ingrown hairs and some discomfort. If you can keep at it until your body gets used to it you'll never go back. The sex feels significantly better, it wipes clean easily if you get something slimy on it and when receiving a bj she won't be periodically stopping to try and cough up the occasional stray pube.
I started to try laser and loved it but I ran out of money before I had gone enough to make it permanent.
As for the female opinion, my wife gets mad at me when I get lazy and it starts to grow out. She's the only one I'm truly worried about impressing.

Just to inform those that read the above statement pubic hair does not increase your chance of having STD's except in rare cases of crabs/pubic lice...
Not that I don't prefer clean shave & do so myself but I thought I might clarify before anyone freaks

Suznsol is right. As much as we prefer clean shaven it actually increases your chances of contracting an std (not counting crabs). the potential irritation and more direct skin to skin contact in an area not covered by a condom does make it easier to transmit and contract disease.
WAXING! Once a month by a pretty professional @ at salon. well worth the $, razors are expensive! It's quick, not painful and over time grows back less & less & much softer & smoother. Very erotic experience & very sexy!
Never been one for much body hair, back (lol), chest, and yes downstairs... so this is lovely !! Very nice! And don't forget the back side either... he he

How can it not be painful? Are you sure about that? Perhaps for a female it would be ok, and even most of a male.. but I just can't imagine doing that to my scrotum.. ouch it huts just thinking about it! I'm not too fond of the idea of shaving it.. or doing anything else, but.. dang that is what must be done. That is my largest area of concern, the rest of the surrounding area is no problem as I can shave in a normal manner.. but how in the world do you shave your scrotum when there is nothing to push against? I just don't have the procedure worked out in my mind yet. Still seems like borrowing my wife's nair would be the easiest way to get the job done. how in the world are you guys doing this? do you do it yourself or get your wife to help you?
We use the "body bare" electric razor most times but I (male) do still use the razor on occasion if I have let it grow for a few days in between, I don't find it scary at all i use conditioner for the "shaving cream" Just rub it on and start shaving... no biggie.
we are both clean shaven & love it. there's a new fusion blade called pro fusion & it's really nice.. we perfer clean shaven or landing strip on women but I love men hairless..
Tried waxing and it stays nicer for longer and is softer coming in but I ended up riddled with ingrown hairs and it was difficult finding a place that would do it even though I only did my chest and stomach.
One of my friends asked me to shave. I usually have it trimmed. She likes the feeling of both being smooth when I am inside her.

I waxed that shit off today. Maybe laser someday.
I like it trimmed very low with scissors or shaved.
I like to keep mine waxed, but I am a big girl so won't get in professionally done and it is difficult to do myself so usually I shave. For him though usually just trimmed, I like it neat and tidy but I also don't like completely hairless guys, it makes them look like little kids and I want a man not a boy!
Question for my fellow men out there , what's the easy way you have found to trim/shave down there. I use to shave with a blade but stopped because my hands we're always shaky lol. I then started using the Philips Norelco Bodygroom Shaver for a nice smooth look until it quit working. Now I just use a beard trim and and just keep everything trimmed, but would like to go back to being bald down there since the wife likes it better but not wanting to go back to using a razor blade
As for Becki she is shaved and does it every night and just leaves a landing strip at the top. I'm good with either shaved or trimmed aslong as the female lips are hair free.

for all you men out there that are men....man up and use some nair...its painless, lasts for weeks and leaves them baby soft and doesnt usually need to be redone for a couple months or more
Believe it or not having your girl do it is much easier then doing it yourself.
Still looking for my replacement barber.
Still looking for my replacement barber.

To Ripbecki... I have heard of guys using Nair and it burnt like **** at least according to them. I use the beard trimmer to cut the long down to near the skin. Then just lather up a bar of soap whild in the shower and us a razor. I have found using a shaving cream for the first few times till the skin is more tolerant leaves less razor burn. "" I would not just start using a razor without cutting the long hair off. You will razor burn for sure."" As for the boys you can pull the skin tight and do them. I like a lady to be smooth so I try to do the same back for her. Keeps from hearing gagging on a stray hair. lol

BS i have used nair in the past and it burned like hell, Men do not use any female hair removal cream stuff, it will burn your sack
Hair=nasty! This aint the 70's anymore. All that funk and junk gets trapped in there and it just isn't cool.

Come on people... get real... poor hygiene is where the smell comes from... not the hair... The look of Maturity is what hair gives a person... STD's because of hair???... again, poor hygiene aids in STD's... unclean sexual partners aids in STD's... unsafe sex practices aids in STD's... Looks smaller??? If it is small it is small... Size isn't suppose to matter, remember...
The woman's bush started disappearing as the bathing suits got smaller... until it went all together. Some peoples pubic hair is rather 'WILD', but does that make them less talented in satisfying their partners??? Mouth full of hair??? We all loose hair from time to time... but a mouth full??? Besides, the hair or hairless does not make the person. There are some real 'BITCHES' without hair!!! All my years I have not turned away a willing partner because of hair or hairless. Of all those who shave, wax, or use what ever means to be bare, is it ALWAYS smooth to the touch or tongue??? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kind of takes away the spur of the moment sex... oh, sorry dear I am not shaved smooth, can you wait??? Five o'clock shadow anywhere can cause wisker burns... and in my years in the lifestyle, since the early 70's, a hair here and there is ok considering the pleasure I get from the act of licking, nibbling and sucking. A sexy woman or man and you get a hair... You going to walk away???
I know a lot of people will not like this, but I really couldn't care less... Just get real and enjoy the person(s) you are with!!! Preference is one thing, but to loose out on some real great sex because of it??? There are those who request their partners be clean shaved or don't contact them... Sorry, you have lost the true meaning of the lifestyle. It is to enjoy the people in it that are mature and willing.
I personally do trim around my manhood and shave my balls from time to time but not always to get laid, sucked or fondled but because I want to. It does make the balls more sensitive and keeps the hair from the zipper of jeans since I seldom wear anything under but with care even fully grown hair can be kept out of zippers. Women can have the same concern.
Hairy pussies do look more mature as I prefer maturity and to see up a ladies skirt when she is willing to show and you see hair, there is no doubt what you see...especially when it glistens from their juices.
There is nothing like give a good blow job to a man who is clean shaven. It is the way to go.
Shaven, smooth, no razaor burn and loving it!

I'm a wax girl myself. I hate shaving regrowth stubble. It itches and makes me bitchy, But if I keep shaving it comes in faster and thicker. Waxing doesn't hurt nearly as bad - the more you do it, the less it hurts, regrowth is softer, and I have the BEST girl in Draper who does it. I'm lying there spread eagle while she's waxing front to back, top to bottom and most times she wants to hear all about my lil swinging escapades. LOL Half an hour later it's done! And it really doesn't hurt as much as you think it will. Promise. And she now also does Vigdazzles....glitter bling for your pussy or where ever you want it. I've done it a few times. It stays on pretty good.
Hubby and I are both totally shaved, have been for years. I love shaved men and women, leaves it free for me to lick, kiss and suck all over - lips and tongue directly to skin. Hightens the sensation that you wouldn't get if you have hair interfering with contact.
I did try nair and my first experience was ok but it does leave a few unremoved patches and if you don't shave those you look like you're junk is diseased. So it didn't really save me from shaving it just made it a little faster. I used it a few more times (still strictly following the instructions) and the more I used it the the more severe the chemical burns from it. Yes chemical burns. The flesh got eaten off of my genitals in patches. At first it was no big deal because it was just an irritation so I just cut some time off of my application. The third time I applied for less time which left more hair on me but my nether regions looked like I had a flesh eating bacteria. Maybe my body just doesn't respond well to Nair but it's a consideration for those considering it. It's also very messy.
Laser smooth is awesome : ) Trust me

Shaving is great, but waxing is the way to go. We only wax once a month and wouldn't do it any other way.
For those of you thinking about laser hair removal, be weary. I got that done a few years ago. You are only supposed to need 6 treatments, but my hair never stopped growing so I kept getting more treatments and adding up the expense. Finally I said enough is enough and stopped going. A few thousand dollars later I am still stuck with shaving every day. I am not sure why, but I think it was the dr or machines he used because I know 2 other patients that went to him and they had the same issue. I tried starting a class action law suit, but no lawyer contacted me back. Anyone know an attorney that would take the case?
I was inspired by the posts. Bye bye hair...

First I have to say there are some funny postings here. Second I am against NAIR PERIOD! I used it on my legs a couple of times and it seemed like my skin was burning for a couple of days afterwards, nevermind using it on more sensitive areas.
I have waxed a few times and the most sensitive areas to me was my middle and lower back. I cannot wax because it is cost prohibitive to me at this time. The girl wouldn't do the scrotum because of the loose skin but the buttocks worked great.
As for shaving I agree with AFTERWORK on the Venus shavers. They cut really clean with almost no burn or cuts and I do that in the shower. With shaving though, I need to just trim in the area between my legs and my sac, if I don't the irritation will be almost unberable at work no matter how much powder I use. I'm not so skinny that I have air flow between my legs at the top.
I love the feel of hairless and I wish I could have it gone forever.
Now if only I can find someone to come and shave my back. (Not necessarily in that order.
) Maybe then I'll get a soapy surprise!!

Been shaving for a few months now and still get razor bumps, any suggestions.
I like a man to trim, I don't like to go bald and I dont like a guy to go bald, just my opinion. I think Im the only girl I know that actually prefers a man to be hairy lol. Women i prefer landing strip, I just don't like the pre-pubescent look.

Haha, a Utah thing? I don't think so. We get around enough to know it is pretty much a universal thing.
Pubic hair really has to go! It is disgusting & dirty to us.
what i have to say really is just how i feel and what i think so here go's. i love to see hair on a woman's pussy. i like it when it is full and not trimed at all. yes what right i love it and fine it very sexy and i love the way it feel on my face when i'm pleasing you. it is something that drive me wild. i like to see it, touch it,and play with it. what i see is a real womam not a little 11 and under girl that going to tell mommy on me. ladie's 1/2 the photo not here when it is shaved clean it kill's it for me you. and the other 1/2 that don't shave i don't care what you look like are if you are a bbw i will stop and look you up and down a think g..dam that nice. even when i go to the strip club's if you have some kind of hair down there i will be at your table if your shaved clean i don't go.so there you have it so ladie's that is how i see it.

We live on the east coast and among swingers and nudist from TN to Florida I think the % is very high.

Waxing works for me, and he trims, though he is considering a brazilian, because the woman who does me also does guys and is very skilled and professional.

hummmm maybe im wierd but i personally think totally shaved looks awful. To me i want adults shaving it all off makes it look like ur a child sorry not into that. Shaved lips and trimmed purrrfect
Your right awful was the wrong word sorry bout that. But it still looks like ur a child and im non talk have a bush lol a nice trimmed landing strip has the best of both worlds, shaved and hair lol
To shave or not to shave. Well as the female half I want the bottom side at least shaved on the female. Don't like that wooly look. And Jr feels the same way, but he prefers the females to be fully smooth. But when it comes to men, I guess I don't mind the shaft shaved but not the top or any thing else. That's what I love about men, is the hair! And their smell. Someone commented that pubic hair smells! Then that person needs to change body soaps, bath more often, and check into taking zinc tablets, or watch what they are eating.
wow floss come on before it became a fad nobody thot anything of it, and as i said the lips shaved i didnt know some people thot going down on a woman meant licking her belly button
I have been shaving for at least 10 years now....(netta has as well)...we think it really enhances our experiences in sex...when the ladies gets wet we becum so smooth and slick together......feels so good.....after all these years we ARE looking into laser hair removal....will depend on how much.....
this is all so personal......some people like the look and feel of being smooth.....some like the natural look and feel....whatever floats your boat....either way......we will enjoy you as you are......

I use to shave and the Wife would just trim. Now we get waxed regularly. We love it. We stay clean and air free for month then when hair starts to come back it is softer and less noticeable. We love it.
We will never shave again.
We will never shave again.
Not only that, but the slapping skin on skin sensation on her clit can do amazing things. I keep myself shaved for that reason alone. Everything else is just fringe benefits. :-)
I think this is an awesome question. The mrs. has been clean shaven since I met her, and the Mr. would keep it trimed up till 6 months ago and he shaved his whole body. omg the skin on skin was so much more sexuall then with all the hair. Mrs still likes the little chest hair so I did grow that back, but have been loving it ever since.
I love "Luscious" shaved.....mmmmm

slick if everyone's pussy looked that hot and amazing, than I say bare it all. Most don't however and I think they should be at least decorated lol
I love "SLICK" shaved too...I need to take a pic of him, freshly shaved. MMMMMMMM. I prefer to be shaved as well as my partner to be shaved. Hair is ok, but "bristly" hair, OUCH. So either have it soft, or freshly shaven, but in the middle can cause pain.

So after reading all the posts and after shaving, getting terrible razor burn and a million bumps and being in pain for a few days as the stubble came back I've decide to go all the way. American Laser here I come!!!!
Megan worked her mojo and got me a a fantastic deal so wish me luck as the point powerful lasers at my junk to make me smooth as a.....well, smooth as a fully grown adult males lasered wiener :-D
