OK Folks, we are going to try this again. ThongDelite (both Mr and Mrs Delite) and I will be hitting the trails in Park City. Specifically, the Mid-Mountain Trail. We will meet in the parking lot of the Park City Mountain Resort near the Ski Patrol area at 9:30 AM.
We are giving you a week's advance notice on this ride. It will be a great day with no rain in the forecast. The ride will be relatively easy (I for one don't like kick-your-ass-puke-your-brains-out-uphill rides) so come one, come all.
After the ride, we can stop in Park City for lunch and a drink or a drink and lunch.
Who's up for it? Check out Mid Mountain Trail here.

I know we are...can't wait to ride...
Hope to have more folks. Respond here or via mail to let ThongDelite or I know if you are coming! Well, if you want to participate in the ride. Coming is a whole 'nother discussion.

Holy COW!!! From the Website linked to by the originating post: "Altitude change is 1400 feet, but with the up-and-down on the Mid Mountain Trail, total climbing will be close to 3000 feet. This is a big ride."
My idea of companionship on this site is spending time with someone who makes me moan, scream, complain (faster, harder, faster), and finally succumbing to the inevitable.
What you're asking here is if I'd like to spend some time with you moaning (in pain), screaming (GET BACK WHILE I HEAVE MY INSIDES OUT!!!!), complaining (OMG will this uphill NEVER end?), and finally succumbing to the inevitable and being pathetically airlifted off the mountain by several burly medics. Note that the burly medics are the only good part of this story, but even they come at a price as they describe your condition to the newsman awaiting at the bottom of the hill.
No, I think I'll save my 30 seconds of fame for something other than being on the morning news!!

Fun4MWF: OMG, that was hilarious. You should be a writer for J. Peterman.
Actually, I have done the ride and it is nothing like that writeup. I think that guy started from the bottom of the hill. We will take the bus up to Upper Deer Valley and right ACROSS the mountains. The only elevation we will experience is the ride DOWN the mountain to Park City Mountain Resort.
So come moan, scream, complain, and succumb with us... lol

Ahhhh, yes, GOING DOWN, now I can understand and truly ENJOY that!!!!

FUN4MWF are you interested in medics? I just happen to be a medic. Care for some mouth to mouth training? lol

Aim lower sweet NeedNaughtyFun, Aim lower.

Just a bump for this fun sounding activity! While I was a bit derogatory about it in an earlier post, it really does look like a beautiful ride (assuming you start from the top!). I wish I could make it but family stuff has me occupied. I hope you folks going have fun!!

LOL -- Utah's maybe loosened up a TAD, but I'm pretty sure we'd have to move to California for that "marry me" stuff! I did notice that I'm next to your pic for a November M&G though ... they finally did one when there's at least a chance I could attend. Maybe I'll see you there!
Normally we'd be ALL over this, especially if it were a road ride... but we'll be in St George this weekend for the St George triathlon. Anybody else going?
Just wanted to remind everyone. We are a GO for the ride tomorrow. Should be awesome weather. Some of the best for the rest of the year.
Hope to see some people there...

How did it go?
Seeing as the weather is going to be nice for a while, it seems; would anyone want to try to have another mountain bike day? My wife & I both love to ride bicycles and we both need some exercise.
In the winter, would there be any interest in a ski/snowboard day?
