I had Brenda\'s eyes rolling the other night because I broke out my copy of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea marathon from the Sci Fi channel. It was my very first Sci Fi show as a kid and I loved Irwin Allen shows like it (Time Tunnel, Lost in Space and Land of the Giants). Yes, it was hokey and far fetched, but even today people come back to it because it was good fantasy fun. Voyage paved the way for other Sci Fi I love as well: Star Trek (and no I don\'t dress up as a Klingon), Six Million Dollar Man, the Alien movies, Star Wars (NO, I damn sure didn\'t dress up like Chewbacha), ST: Next Generation, the X-Files and more.

I\'m not really a geek, nor am I a closet geek, but I do enjoy getting lost in the fantasy exploring new worlds and facing hair raising adventures. If you can\'t be a kid when you watch shows like I mentioned above than what\'s life all about? Anyway, anyone want to add to my feeble list? What are you favorite Sci Fi shows--Classic or current? I wish I got into Stargate SG-1 more and Battlestar Galactica (the new one) as well...well written shows with their own following. Okay, said enough, it\'s your turn my pet horndogs.

Ed
(EdNBrenda)
Ok, with a screen name like \"Vader\" you KNOW I am a Sci Fi geek...lol. As a friend of mine put it, I have embraced my geekdom. I will admit that I dress up like Darth Vader at times. Not to mention the Punisher costume and the Stargate SG-1 setup I have.

And my wife is not quite as much into it as I am, but she does enjoy it also.

Ok, so now I have totally shot myself in the foot, lol, and been branded a total geek.
Hi, if you liked the X-files then you had to have watched the Millenium. That was a killer tv series. The most recent one was The 4400 and Taken. I really enjoyed those and was looking forward to the new season of each(although, there was no mention of a continuance of Taken). I am an X-files fan and of course Star Trek(all but Voyager, really could not get into it like the others). I was a Battlestar Galactica fan from the original series, but didn\'t watch the new one. There was also Babylon 5, a really good show as well. That\'s all I can think of right now. There are some really good books out there as well. I just finished Stephen King\'s Dark Tower series. Check those out for a Gunslinger-slash-western-slash-scifi-slash-fantasy fix!!! Really good reading.
I have every Star Trek and Star Wars on DVD ...
I loved the old Star Trek, the series Red Dwarf, the Twilight Zone, Buck Rogers (although that was to watch the one who played the Col Dearing), Star Wars, the Treminator movies, and Land of the Giants.
Well... I WAS a big sci fi fan... but one night, while returning home... well you see, there was this bright light and then... well... and ever since... well my life has been kinda....different!
/\\ Now thats cool. Yeah we are big sci-fi fans in our house. Our Current favorite has to be the new incarnation of Battlestar. It is probably one of the best written shows out there. It shows that Ron Moore knows what hes doing while the other two hacks in control of the Star Trek franchise (AKA the killer Bs) since the passing of Gene Roddenberry didnt know what they were doing. Speaking of Trek, we are both huge fans. Both of us have been sci-fi fans for as long as we could recall. Weve even managed to convert our kids.
I remember liking the original movie of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea....

I remember watching Time Tunnel, when they broke in to announce that Grissom, White , and Chaffee were killed in that terrible fire on the pad.......

I like the Golden Age Sci-Fi... a lot of Heinlein, Asimov, the vintage writers......
here are some of my favorite movies:

The Day The Earth Stood Still
The Thing original b/w
This Planet Earth
Earth vs. The Flying Saucers
most of the Star Trek movies
Terminator I, II, III

here are some of the tv shows:
Buck Rogers
Battlestar Gallactica original
Star Trek not bad
Star Trek: Next Generation
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Star Trek: Enterprise
Yes Sci-Fi is the best, we own a few series such as:

Farscape & were working on Lexx

But I also enjoy a few of the other that some already stated.

But as a military man I also like Hogans Hero\'s, and I\'m hoping to pick up The Rat Patrol as soon as they start getting released.
Yes, I have 5 7\' tall book cases filled mostly with SciFi books, watch mostly the SciFi channel on cable, Smallville, Charmed, Surface, Supernatural, Stargate, Firefly, Andromeda, Zena, Hercules, etc.
The Day the Earth Stood still is a CLASSIC, but the original short story that it is based on is excellent too..... maybe even better.....

Same can be said for The Thing.....
I\'m glad I\'m amoung so many Sci-Fi addicts. If only some of you were closer by, I could really get into some marathon watching. I like some of the new stuff, like invasion, the 4400, and you can always find me checking out the Sci Fi channel for anything new. Of course I never miss the Stargate shows. Thanks for this little survey, it was fun.
Dennis
Oooo, Nate and I are both big Sci-Fi fans!

Love BSG, both Stargates, and of course Farscape!
Can\'t forget Serenity too! Wow!

We went to DragonCon in GA for the first time last year. It was awesome. Sooo many Clingons, even a Ms. Clingon Universe Pagent...very cool.

I am not ashamed of my geekness...I let it shine! I even knitted the Jayne hat from Serenity, and wear it proudly!
Love Sci-Fi Star wars, Stargate, Star Trek (do i sense a theme here?) etc.. LOL
Oh hell yea, I have been longer than her, watched all the campy shows as a kid, and still do. lost in Space, Star Trek, Buck Rogers (Erin Gray was her name), and we have been into Stargate since the show was unrated on Showtime. Too many to even list I think, Farscape, Lexx. The old movies, War of the Worlds, although the book is better than the original movie, and the original moivie puts steven spielberg to shame.

The new Battlestar Galactica is her favorite show, almost of all time I think. It stands on it\'s own for story and characters alone. Anyone who hasn\'t caught it, you are really missing out. i think you can download the whole thing on Itunes.

So any ladies have the golden Leia bikini?
battlestar galactica - some hot chicks in it to boot ;))
I just LOVE all of you fellow sci-fi dorks!! I (Mr. thought) have ALWAYS been and always WILL be a fan of sci-fi!

As far as I\'m concerned...there IS no such thing as bad sci-fi. Even the cheezy B movies have a high entertainment value!

I\'ve even managed to turn the wifee onto it as we both watch many regular TV series and film series together :)
Me and the wife are Extremely addicted to SciFi Friday the new Stargates are a bit lacking but SG Atlantis keeps us on the edge of our seats. The wife is not to fond of the new Battlestar but to me it
Hello,

Any one here ever get into the Dr. Who series from GB? Wonderful and fun.

Greg
M I B, Mars Attacks (a little humor doesn\'t hurt), all the Star Trek series and movies, All the Star Wars movies...Any 50\'s B movie will do. If it\'s sci-fi related, I\'ll watch it! Anyone remember the series... U.F.O.?
ITS like this !!! Who wouldnt love to have some SEXY ORION or ANDORIAN to have wild sex with????? Even a cold VULCAN gets all wild in THE AMUCK TIME..Spock and T\'POL both found them selves in wild passion!!! And I wouldnt kick T\'POL out of bed for eating her vegtables ...just have to convince her to eat MY MEAT !!
\"Any one here ever get into the Dr. Who series from GB?\"

I havent caught it yet. Supposedly its coming to the Sci-Fi channel this spring. Ive heard nothing but great reviews about it though.
Anyone Watching \"LOST\"
Shows getting better all the time!
I have not seen Space 1999 in a long long time, might have to check netflix.
Empire Strikes Back is very high on the list.
Let\'s see four I like I have not seen on the list are Time Rider, Logan\'s Run, They Live and the Hidden. These are kind of cheesy but very fun.
Of couse Trek (TNG best) and Outland too.
For books I like David Drake\'s Hammers Slammers stories best.
Art
\"They Live\" is like \"Army of darkness\" both are pure cheesy classics. We love watching them when ever they come on the TV
wow cant believe nobody mentioned one of my favorites The Matrix im watching it right now...lol
Ok the Matrix was cool, but the Brothers really mesed up with parts 2 and 3. Yeah they had a lot of great eye candy, but they drifted so far away from sci-fi towards more of an action/ adventure flick.
We are huge SG-1 and SG Atlantis fans as well as Star Trek and Star Wars.
:D Love BattleStar "G"
We are also big fans of Battlestar G
I think we are the only couple in America that didn't like the Matrix movies. I guess we are mutants or some thing...oh well.
Didn't really like I Robot either...but loved the first Robocop movie just for the commercials in it, if nothing else!
Art and Dawn, who spent saturday morning watching Star Trek III in bed...
My husband loves this string... he is a real SCI FI nut... so... he asks the question to all of you late night geeks..... who remembers the SCI FI porn movie from the 70's that starred Sean Connery....????

The answer is ZARDOZ...

when he told me that Sean Connery was in a Sci Fi porn, I just had to see for myself, being a lover of the actor.

Cyn
I love all types of sci fi. A nice escape from life's stresses.
Vamp and Vader
I completely agree with you !!! Gotta luv the Terminator series as well .............gotta say it........."I'll be Back"
J&R
ZARDOZ.... Great Movie...
Great Head... LOL
Right On... I am impressed.... someone else understands the flying head story
Any one remember Flesh Gordon...???
Flying Head...!!! MMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...........
Flesh Gordon was soooooo cheesey.... but great...
Love all mentioned prior.. But none mentioned the "First Wave". Remember that one..? I liked it.. Well, I actually love ALL Sci-Fi...

Jim here btw..
Doctor Who (due March 2006 on Sci_Fi; brought-in from the BBC in the UK) Thought someone asked about this...
I'm a voracious reader. Love most Sci Fi movies and TV(not to be confused with TV's). Love the Dr No series but several of the Dr's we not as good as others. Hated the Darlic series but liked most of the Master ones. I wonder why Heinlein's books were never made into movies most are quite good. C.S. Lewis, Athur C Clark, Asimov all super writers. Martian Chronicles, SG, SG Atlantis... Too many to mention... The day the Earth Stood Still with Michael Rennie...Rocketman Seriels in the movies from the 40's and 50's. Who remembers Rocky's Rocket Rangers from 50's TV brought to you by Ovaltine and if you sent so many jar seals into the show you could get the decoder ring for the secret messages.....

Sci Fi has been predictive of future events for so long...Lazers, Rocket ships, Rocket packs, And a statement in Forbidden Planet; " the taped thrillers of the 20th century" Filmed in Eastman Kodac color and in 1956 or maybe 65 but long before video tape was available...The special effects were awsome ...no computer generated things.... And the landing scene... note the shadow and the bubbliing earth and dust.....all hand done animation. And Robbie the robot... a mechanical wonder for it's day...

Swingers would and probably love Heinlein... Stranger in a Strange Land and Time Enough for Love....

Can't get enough Sci Fi...
Ah Yes...

Heinlein is GREAT... and the analogy is perfect........
Okay, We are going to add our names to the Geek Squad fo Sci Fi Lovin Swingers here on Swingular! (applause please)

I (mR.) am a huge Star Trek fan, and NO, there will not be any debate as to the quality of the Captains of the Enterprise! Every Trek fan worth his salt KNOWS that JAMES KIRK is the space pimp who started it all! I mean come on!?!? A green chick, a blue chick, a BLACK chick (that was a network television first!) and every other kind of chick there was. If it was a space chick, he's fucked it people. You cant but that kind of love anywhere!

Now I love Picard, Janeway, Riker (of Titan fame now if you are a reader), Sisko, and yes, even Captain Archer, for whom the federation adopted many new rules because he screwed so many things up, is cool with me. I was a huge DS9 fan also, well..the last 3 years anyway when Worf came aboard.

I am also a huge Star Wars fan. In fact, I am the OFFICIAL star wars fan. If there is printed material on Star Wars, I own it. For those of you who read, the NJO (new jedi order) was fantastic! And everything before it as well. Just finished the three book Dark Nest trilogy and man am I impatient for more!

We both loved X-Files. Nuff said right? There were times that I wanted to bitch slap Scully for being a doubting thomas though. Even after the movie she would say, "I dont believe it." Stupid bitch. LoL.

We love SURFACE, STAR GATE SG-1, Atlantis, and my absolute fav right now has got to be GALACTICA!!! Talk about a completely perfect remake of a cult classic with a few twists on the characters! Good television.

Since I am gone from home so much, I dont get to watch a lot of cable, but you can bet that when I do make a date with the TIVO I am GLUED to these shows, and nothing, short of my wifes sexy ass smile and devilish little "come and get it" grin, can make me press pause!

Luvbugs! (mR.)

;)
Now I am sure to have started a "which Captian was the best?" debate among our Trek fans!

Just remember...

Kirk= Space Pimp. Save a horse people...
Picard= Diplomat. I mean, come on? Who wants to fuck Patrick Stewart?
Sisko= He's dead you know. I still cant see him as anyone other than that guy on Spencer for Hire...remember that? Whew!
Janeway= Typical woman. Cant follow street signs and gets lost...why didnt she stop and ask directions?
Archer= Cancelled.

the choice is clear.

Luvbugs! (mR.)

:l
Ok had to add another comment LOL There are so many that I really enjoy.....Yes I admit it I'm a Charmed fan (hubby laughs at me) The original episodes of 4400 rocked, then it kind of dwindled off to that no plot thing....... X-Men love those, Battlestar Galactica, MIB, Mars Attacks ok I need to stop LOL
Man, start one thread and look what happens...geez! Nah, just playing, love the response and let me chime in with one of my all time favorite sci fi/horror moives: THE ALIEN SERIES.

Nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing, was hotter than seeing Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) in nothing but a near thong and a tank top with nips a peeking fighting an alien she just discovered.

Any other choices?

Ed and Brenda

Oh, we were X-files junkies till it ended, now its 24, but it's not really sci fi.
Oh yeah, Captian Kirk was the Mack Daddy of the Universe!

He probably got children all over the galaxy in some form or another (unless birth control was really good in the 23rd Century). Plus, Mr. Spock colud get his freak on too when the time was right ( remember when he reverted back to his pre Vulcan state with the hot blonde in the cold and nearly killed McCoy for her?).
On the subject of Dr Who:

It is the longest-running sf series in history.
From Nov, 1963 to Dec 1989, 26 seasons, 7 different actors.

One American-made TV movie (FOX) in 1996, 8th Doctor.

All new series started last year, with the new 9th Doctor.
(This is what will air on Sci-Fi, not the old stuff.)

#9 only lasted the 1 season though, and #10 is the new
Doctor for the 28th season, which just started with a
special Xmas episode. We Whoies are glued to our internet
feeds waiting for more eps this year.

The old series is mostly dated, with REALLY cheesy effects,
but they did the best they could with the budget they had.

The NEW show has scads of funding and is totally GORGEOUS
as far as FX and sets. Writing and acting is good so far, as well.

BTW, 'Zardoz' wasn't really even soft-core porn, just a John
Boorman film with a lot of nudity. Good movie for heavy
thinking/conversations, etc.

Michael...

PS: If you're a Heinlein reader, you should recognize my handle!
Ths is one of the several logos the show had over the years.

The previous pic is one of the TARDIS: The Doctor's
time/space travel capsule, which always looks like a 1950's
British Police Phone Booth!
HEY I saw it... I am not the only strange one here.... I loved the British series. Dr. Who... and Red Dwarf.... FarScape... I think everyone scored here.. I have a VHS copy of The Day the Earth Stood Still ,, Black and White. Gotta love where it started and where it is now.
And after all ... a spoof ... Earth Girls are Easy. Grinnnnnnnn
LUVBUGS, have you seen the pics of the Titan. They guy who designed it put his heart and soul into it for sure. but I saw a lot of other applicants who did fantastic jobs as well. One guy I think would have cinched the competition, but he frogot the cut off was 1159 EST. He thought it was 1159 PST. So when he went to submit his entry...it took weeks of consolation for the poor guy. As for your list of Captains

Kirk= No argument there. He is the man!
Picard= But he would bore the enemy to death with his long winded speeches
Sisko= The Sisko is not dead. The prophets will return him to us. This is also the only captain that might have a good shot at beating Kirk in a fight
Janeway= Oh you mean Captain Insaneway?
Archer= The Gazelle speach. Need I say more?

Funny thing, DS9 was dragging ass until the killer B's decided to work on their pet project, Voyager. So they turned the reins of DS9 over to some guy named Ronald D. Moore (sound familiar). DS9 then became compelling sci-fi. Mean while the killer Bs did their thing with Voyager (reset button of the week any one) and Enterprise.

Funny thing is that the Killer B's are basically on their way to being unemployed and who is having the critical success now? Oh this was just a general rant, not directed at you.

Hey does anyone remember the sci-fi soft core porn from the 70s...Galaxina?
The Sisko does indeed live on in "Unity". If you are a reader that is. "Unity" is an excellent book that finishes the story left half told at the end of DS9, and even gives you a little back story on (now) Captain Kira. She is HOT in that black Starfleet utility uniform. Hubba hubba!

Jerry Taylor also contributed some excellent work in her time with the Trek franchise. Ronald D. Moore is now of Galactica fame. Michael and Denise Okuda, formerly my art teacher in california, has some cool stuff he is doing for Galactica and a new show due out in September. We stay in touch fairly often.

The Stargates are a lot of fun. SG-1 is fast approaching what I personally feel is the end of its useful story arch...Atlantis has potential.

As for the classics, well...there are too many to list. Someone said Aliens, and all I can say is YES! They could have stopped after 2 and i would have been just fine for it, but what'r'you'gonna'doaboutit? right? Dr. Who was before I became a sci fi nut, along with some other venerable classics like "V", and Space 1999. NOw I am a complete snob and will only watch what I consider to be "good" sci fi. Couldnt get in to Firefly (I hear the groans from the members already!), couldnt wrap my mind around a space western for some reason.

And for those of you who are Trek fans, go get Star Trek Titan today! Great reads, and there are already 3 books available. If you are a Star Wars fan (oh and Chewie is DEAD by the way to the member who said she liked him, sorry hon!) you must read the entire New Jedi Order. They are simply fan-fucking-tastic. I learned that from my wife.

All right, enough already!

Save a Horse Y'all!

Luvbugs! (mR.)

:l
I love sci-fi. I remember all the star trek, but I really enjoyed slows like Sliders and Seaquest. (Really loved it a few weeks ago they were showing Seaquest) HEY does anyone know what's up with the networks that they can't show the shows in order?

Anyway the lastest I enjoy is Friday night line up of SG1, Atlantis and BATTLESTAR GALACTICA.
Hell, I guess the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" counts! I am shocked I forgot this one!
Also was thinking about the 1980 Flash Gordon, yes the one with a young Timothy Dalton and the Queen soundtrack. Growning up in the early 80s, the local movie house would tag this one on to what ever was playing, making a double feature. I must have seen it 10 times on the big screen.
On the silly side there was alway "Morons from Outer Space" which had it's moments..
Art
I love the show, although it was short lived, Automan. It was hilarious. Also liked the show Manimal. Would love to morph into an animal and have some fun. :-)The Incredible Hulk is another favorite. An oldie but goodie was My Favorite Martian. Also liked the Misfits of Science. OK OK I will admit Courtney Cox was the main attraction. CAn you blame me? Not to mention Mork and Mindy. LOL
OK.... So we've mentioned Star Trek, Star Wars, StarGate, Aliens, Predator, AVP, X-MEN, Dr. Who (which I love), Heinlen, Arthur C. Clark, and a host of others... Sounds like we have a lot of Sci-Fi fans out there. So I'm sure that someone will remember a few British Sci-Fi TV shows that used puppets for the characters... Of course I'm referring to SUPERCAR, FIREBALL XL-5, CAPTAIN SCARLET and let's not forget THUNDERBIRDS...!!! Call me crazy, but I kinda' liked those shows... But then, I like anything that's SCI-FI...!!! Just in case they were not mentioned, let me just say a few that I can remember... Rocket Man, Colonel Bleep, Blake's 7, Earth vs. The Flying Saucers(classic), The Day the Earth Stood Still, The Blob (both versions), The Thing (both versions), Angry Red Planet, FORBIDDEN PLANET (Leslie Neilsen, Anne Francis & Robby the Robot), When Worlds Collide, The Day of the Triffids, Conquest of Space, Rocketship XM (Lloyd Bridges), Destination Moon, Flight to Mars, Invaders from Mars(classic), 20,000,000 Miles to Earth(George Pal), Them, Tarantula, and of course,War of the Worlds... Blade Runner, The Martian Chronicles, The Black Hole, Pitch Black, The Time Machine(both versions), THX-1138, Metropolis, Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan, Ghidra, Anguilis, and the tiny girls from Monster Island... Not to mention animated sci-fi like Final Fantasy and the like... The list goes on and on... If I missed any, please someone let me know... (p.s. Hey, Wait a Minute... I thought that this was a Swingers Site... LMFAO
Fireball XL-5
Now the site is not letting me upload attatchments.... Damn...!!!
ah-ha...!!!
When Worlds Collide...
Fritz Lang's Metropolis...
Havent read all of the relpies yet, has anyone mentioned Ghost Busters? But Star Wars Star Trek are both great as are Star Gate SG-1 and of course Battle Star Galactica (original not the new one)
Attack of the Killer DD's... Oh, wait a minute...oops... Damn.... She's gonna' kill me LMAO
Thanks Mrs. H... I'm sure there are a lot more swimming around in my head... LOL It's just that I'm so burnt from work that I must have leaked a few brain cells on the way home... D-UH... Sci-Fi Rocks...!!! I'm glad that we added eachother to our friends lists... You guys seem really nice... It would be great to be friends... The Mrs.(Velvet) is constantly buying obscure sci-fi DVDs and has been finding some that I thought were out of print... Ahhh... The Internet... Hey, let's talk sometime...??? I'm sure we all have a LOT in common... LOL Denim (p.s. Dr. Who)
"So I'm sure that someone will remember a few British Sci-Fi TV shows that used puppets for the characters... Of course I'm referring to SUPERCAR, FIREBALL XL-5, CAPTAIN SCARLET and let's not forget THUNDERBIRDS...!!!"

Gerry Anderson did all of these. He also did STINGRAY, JOE 90, SPACE: 1999 and UFO.

"Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons" has been resurrected as a GORGEOUS, all-CGI cartoon that just finished it's 2nd season. If you'd like to see it, or MOST of the stuff we have talked about on this thread, write me.

Michael...
"Never apply a Star Trek solution
to a Babylon 5 problem."
any one remember FOOD OF THE GODS i think is the name of it didnt see here .but star trek and twilite zone are my all time best
Yep, Food of the Gods..an HG Wells novel that was made into a early 70s (or was it late 60s) B movie. As for classic sci-fi, "Forbidden Planet", "The Day The Earth Stood Still", and "When Worlds Collide" are indeed great classics. Sadly Ive never seen Frtiz Lands "Metropolis"
Ah-Ha... Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow was a Fantastic Flick... Beautifully done "Retro" look... Love the Empire State Building scene where it shows an airship docking into the terminal on the top floor...(the original design for it) before they realized that it was a dangerously ridiculous idea (but soooo cool)...Thanks for reminding me... Although it didn't recieve much box office acclaim, I still think that it's destined to be a classic...
sooooo cool..........
LOL. With a Halloween costume like mine you have to ask?
i like alot of the old BBC classics like Dr who which has allready been mentioned, but remember the old run of hitchhikers guide to the galaxy? oh man talk about cheesy special effects? god i loved it i have the three pak vhs set of the show the new one is pretty good too IMHO i thought it stuck close to the books lets see loved space 1999, flash gorden ( come on you know you love the queen sound track!) the rocky horror picture show oh yeah midnight showing cant miss it! the outer limits, twilight zone, what about ice pierates? oh you gotta love those 80's just above B grade movies...lol your right kirk was the man, picard, need to get laied cissco, was awsome ( after worlf joind the crew worlf is de man!) janeway? couldent get into it star wars? spent a wasted youth watching the satuarday matanne....lol
played endless hours of doungon and dragons, yep id say i pretty much had geekdom coverd and still do.....lol
look over my spelling im half asleep and my spell checker just went on the fritz...lol
That is a FANTASTIC IDEA...!!! There sure seems to be enough of us to have a really great time... We really should think about this... :i
Which pics LADYUC...??? The sci-fi or the DD's...??? LOL
I was reminded of a few while e-mailing XPLORR... " Invasion of the Saucer Men" (with their large heads and finger tips with alcohol injecting needles) and Queen of Outer Space (with Zsa Zsa Gabor) This Island Earth (with Russell Johnson of Gilligan's Island Fame) *note: Remember, Russell Johnson was in many of these old 50s-60s flicks... It seems that quite a few of these actors were in multiple movies within their "Genre"... Attack af the Crab Monsters was another Russell Johnson classic... Then there was "The Monster that Challenged the World" with Paul Frees (that famous voice from so many cartoons) as the P.I.C. (Professor in Charge) LOL ...

There are so many more such as "The Giant Mantis" who meets his end inside the Lincoln Tunnel (or was it the Holland Tunnell) and "KowTiki" (the flesh devouring frothy blob mess) found inside an Egyptian Tomb... Then there's "The Giant Behometh" and "The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms", "The Brain from Planet Arous", "Invasion of the Body Snatchers", and lastly "The Fiend without a Face" (those flying brain-spine nerve leg walking things that would fly up around your neck and suck your brains out)... So many more are coming to mind... What say I jump to the present day and mention "Ghosts of Mars" (gorey but great), "Pitch Black" and "The Chronicles of Riddick"... Vin Deisel is definitley cool in those roles... (p.s. has anyone mentioned the first "Dune"...???)
Riddick...
Cool....
Definitely love Sci Fi! Some of my all time favs are: alll the Star Treks, Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica (the original series more than the new but the new one is good), V, Firefly (and the movie was good too), SeaQuest, War of the Worlds (the original), Dr. Who, Red Dwarf, anything by Ray Bradbury and Dune (haven't seen the original movies, but definitely liked the new ones - those glowing blue eyes make me all wet and weak in the knees). There are too many more to name, but want to mention that we both definitely enjoyed seeing the new Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

-SG

PS. Maybe we should start a new thread about actors and/or characters who make us drool... lol
