hey val number 2 was real for me i did break the cam while taking my pic and that is true. however what i dont say is the cat got wraped in the cable and i tried to scare him away and when he ran so did the cam what a mess. didnt know that a cam could break into so many pieces.

My new netbook has a built in webcam, it has been a lifesaver for getting pics, although I did borrow a digital camera to take my current profile pic two or three years ago... loosing track of time now. Excuses I/we have gotten:
1) I/We don't have a digital camera or webcam

3) The photo lab confiscated our pictures (there might be truth to that, I've had it happen to me)

Some things do just happen. Some folks just one day decide to go on "this mission" and might even end up joining and just before dinner the credit card Company calls for a fraud charge alert and the wife cancels it. She reports back that someone used our credit card to join some dating website today and I canceled it. You tell her it was you and to call them back! The kids have entered the kitchen and dinner is ready so she sits there stewing the whole dinner. True story. We had talked about finding other voyeurs somehow but she didn't know I would jump on it the next day. We hadn't taken a recent nude pic in years. We were very busy, kids, etc and it is really not so easy to take pictures that look as classy as so many folks are posting these days. So Well in defense of those with no pics. You have a few weeks to a month leeway. But then you better post pics of BOTH of you! Work Security is no reason to not be able to post some mostly full body shots. If you have no digital means then you need to get into the digital age.

We can appreciate that some people just do not want to post pictures, their loss. However, the old excuse of 'we have very important jobs' or 'I don't want someone to recognize us' just doesn't fly with us anymore. With tools like Photoshop and I think even this site has something online you can use, you can remove things that can identify you and still give everyone an idea what you look like.
I think what it comes down to is some people just do not want to show what they really look like in fear that others won't try to hook up. If that's the case, I think you need to realize that if someone doesn't want to talk to you because they are not interested after seeing what you look like, then not showing yourself in your profile pic just ends up stringing everyone along.

The way I see it, I post what I look like. You get what you see. I am NOT photogenic and I don't photoshop my pics. And I figure if someone finds my profile and sees my pics and is shocked to find me here, well it's their own damn fault for being here themselves. Personality is important, but there has to be attraction also. We get friend request all the time from people with no pictures in public or private. We just deny. We would not expect others to go out with us without showing them our face pics and therefore expect the same. We don't have enough time to go on blind dates and there are plenty of people that post their pics. So, although we respect others to be the invisible profile, we won't meet with them without a face pic whatever the excuse.

I don't know that I am comfortable taking nude pictures and posting them, I am a large woman and I fear that I would get bad feedback on them. I have fully clothed pics though and if someone wants nude they have to contact me. So if you are talking strictly nude as I have seen a few comments then not everyone is comfortable having nude pics for the entire world to see!
Isn't it the admins policy to have, at-the-least, a body shot for your main photo? We actually asked them about that one time and their reply was something along the lines of, " the photo must be of a person. No landscapes, no cartoon characters, no automobiles..." The reasoning they said was to keep the site "classy". Also, they asked to have those members that violated those conditions reported so they could handle the issue.

Our policy is, if you post a photo for your profile picture (the first picture in your public album), it must adhere to our guidelines. These guidelines are now posted before every upload. However, it is not a requirement to post a photo at all.
All are good but,SORRY FOLKS THERE ARE NO GOOD REASONS!!! IF no face, then a body shot with the head(s) cut off or covered or a mask. If you are here for real and you are looking for real then be real, no excuses-get it done.
We want to see some kind of pic to work from. Are they lying about ht/wt? Are they a single with a cpls profile? For those who show faces, is there a basic initial attraction? If there is, then we can exchange other pics and chat before a meet. If we dont see a pic, 90% of the time our mail goes unanswered and 78% of those are unopened 60 days later.
If our opinion counted for anything, profiles 60 days old without a pic would be froze. (And members that did not sign on in 60 days would also be froze. but that is another discussion thread.)

As I understand the Catholic church heirachy puts Bishops above Pastors and priests. A single parish could have several priests, 1 pastor. Bishops are in charge of a diocese (a group of parishes in a geographic region) an Arch-bishop is over a larger group of dioceses (Arch-diocese) then up to Cardinal and above that is the pope.

1. Kid knows more about the computer than I do and I don't need my preteen seeing THAT. (this was a true story)
2. Husband won't take any.
3. I am ashamed of my body./I am too fat/Ugly. (I have yet to meet any Frankensteins that scare little children.)
4. (not so much on this site but on another) I don't want my profile pic used to advertise to the world that I am on this site.

You all know how to make someone's day. <blush> Thanks for the self esteem boost. I really wasn't fishing for compliments, I was told that by a photographer when he had a difficult time taking my pics. But I always say what I lack in looks I more then make up for in talent! :-D

Any person with a camera can take a resonably attractive picture of say Cindy Crawford. A true photographer is able to capture the essense that is you and bring it out to the light to show the world. that photographer sounds like someone with no imagination and very little talent, IMO.
As a photographer, there are many tricks I can play with the camera, lens, filters, lighting, and photo editing software.
But I digress....

Now think about that. They don't have pics on their work computer but they are e-mailing you, on a Swinger or other lascivious dating website, from a work computer. Don't they think the boss will catch them anyway? LOL

I tried to take one of those self pics in the mirror and the image wasn't there
We fully understand those with sensitive jobs not wanting to post body shots on their profile. There are lots of bishops and bosses out there trying to logging on to swingular every night trying to match up those bodies to their flock or staff....
Oh, then there is also the coworker that could accidentally come across it then tell the boss or bishop. Of course they typed in google swing looking for a swing set and before they knew it they were logged on and happened across this body they accidentally saw when looking for a swing set in farmington.
Honest i thought it was the ksl classified.

Or your bosses step daughter could run across it and then tell her mom, who decides tao ask about the swinging lifestyle, while your on their (Your boss's) boat in the middle of a lake. Really wish I had freakin paid attention to those damn swimming lessons when I was a kid.
