Swingers Forum - Hood Piercing 911. I need advice..........

Previous Post Next Post
Hello,
I had my hood pierced about 3 weeks ago. When they did it I was given a small plastic bag of sea salt and told to mix 1/4 teaspoon with 8 oz of distilled water.
I am having trouble healing. I think my skin is drying to the rod. I have stopped using the sea salt, but I am turning it more often and using vasoline based antibotical cream, trying to keep it moist for a while. Each time I turn it, it stops hurting, until it sticks again.
Does anyone have any advice? I love it, but ouch it hurts right now.
Thanks,
Pebbles
AND STAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had mine pierced about 3 months ago I was just told to run warm water over it and that was it...it heal really good with no problems..i found that if i kept a little cup of warm water but the potty and poured it over after going it also help a great deal i was told toput nothing on it i didnt and its great! healed quick. good luck!
I don't have mine done, but here is what my piercer recommends for those...

Genital Piercings
Genital piercings should be cleaned following the instructions for torso piercings (see below). However, the cleaning products may irritate the urethra in both men and women. For piercings that pass through the urethra (Prince Albert, Apadravya, Appallang), Drink a lot of water and urinate often, especially after cleaning, to flush out any residues in the urethral opening. Your urine is sterile to your own body. Women should take care not to let any cleaning agent enter the vagina, as yeast infections may result from the depletion of bacteria.Genital piercings should be cleaned as well after intercourse.Use of a condom is necessary during the healing period, and oral contact should be avoided. Also, certain lubricants and spermicides may irritate piercings.

General healing times are:
PA, Clitoral Hood, Labia Minora, Clitoris: 6 weeks
Ampallang: 6-12 months
Labia Majora, Fenem, Scrotal: 2-3 months
Dydoe, Apadravya: 4-6 months

Torso Piercings
Gently wash piercing and surrounding area with antibacterial soap. Carefully remove all crusty formations from the piercing and jewelry. Rotate jewelry. Rinse off soap and rotate jewelry again, making sure all soap residue is gone.
Warm salt water soaks remove crusty deposits and secretions during healing.

Hope this helps...
Vitamin E Oil should help soothe it, i've heard that neosporin isn't good to use all the time......
I just got mine done 7 weeks ago & I used nothing but sterile saline wound wash & it healed perfectly! My piercer actually told me NOT to point anything on it but water or the saline...
Rather than an online Forum, don't you think you should ask a doctor?
I do not feel there is any infection, so I do not think it is necesary yet.
Thank you for all your responses.
The salt solution is more about reduceing swelling than anything else sweetie
I got mine 3 weeks ago also. My piercer said NO antibiotic creams or alcohol or peroxide. I wash it 2 times a day with antibacterial soap, make sure to move in back and forth and wash it all.
Also, you should be able to go back to the piercer and they will help you get it back in shape and give you advice about what to do next.
When I had mine done the piercer told me to clean it with saline wound wash (can be found at drugstores like walgreens) and to just squirt it to saturate it. and if anything got on it or touched it such as fingers or hair to wash it gently with fragrance free soap and then to squirt it off with the saline solution. i was told never to put any kind of ointment or vaseline type product on it as that can harbor germs, and to never turn or twist it. that can pull and cause irritation. mine healed like 2 weeks. but the best thing to do would be to go back and get it cleaned out by the studio that did it or go to the doctor and have then do it. thats my suggestion. hope it helps!
You need to call your piercer asap. And you really shouldn't put anything on it other than the saline solution. They should have it for sale there rather than making your own?? But definitely call the piercer.
I just saw your post I'll email you with all the info you need.
Thank you everone for your posts. I am no longer using the ointment. I have increased the saline and turning. It is feeling better, but not there yet.

In case you haven't been told this, you really come off sounding like a Darwin Reject Prick. Get over yourself. Stop questioning why SWINGERS allow the female half to have sex with other men or why women get their hoods pierced....It's fucktards like you that give single males a bad name. Sheesh, take a fucking midol and stop acting like a twatwaffle.
Never had my hood pierced, debated it..but this post has definately convinced me I shouldn't do it. I almost reached down and kissed my own hood better when I started having sympathy pains. LOL.

Hope you feel better soon. Kisses!

OMG... Ok... I had my hood pierced and this what you do. Go to the store and by more sea salt if you are out. Take a plastic (disposable kind...like for camping) cup and put about 1/4 cup of tap water in it, hot. Hot is to disolve the sea salt. Add about a teaspoon of sea salt to the water. Put the cup between your legs so that it is covering the piercing and surrounding area. Get to where you can lay back enough, without spilling that mixture everywhere, so that the piercing is completely immersed. Soak that way until the water becomes cold. Soak like that 3 times a day, at least. Mine has never hurt. I did the same with my belly button piercing. You have to make sure you do it often. It will make it feel better , keep the chance for infection down, keep it clean, and ease any pain. NO BATHS, NO SWIMMING POOLS UNTIL COMPLETELY HEALED! Good luck and I hope the pain eases for you.
