So I have been reading online how if you take a picture with your smart phone IE Iphone, Android and so on the camera looks up the GPS of the location your taking it and puts it in the picture properties. So I decided to do a little test. I took a pic then sent the image to my computer and wham!!! My location was easy to look up with the latitude and longitude right in the image properties. So just a FYI about this. For all you people that take those steaming pictures with your smart phones and post them on here anybody can look you up. Kinda of scary don't ya think?

Unless you have the battery out of your phone you can be tracked, cell phones are constantly looking for towers, triangulating and updating where you are - EVEN WHEN TURNED OFF!!!
How do I know this? I've worked in wireless cell switches and on towers for 10 years and this information was part of an RF training class. The example used was how three guys who murdered someone were tracked by there turned off phones and found guilty from the records. Sometimes technology can do good things... The cell companies keep these records for different periods of time but most about a month because the disk storage space is to expensive (50k to 100k calls per day - and thats a slow day!)- but storage prices are always going down... Just ask Google who keeps all your info indefinitely!!!
