You have read my mind! I've tried getting on the site on my web browser (on iPhone) but the page has too many items to load. I think I was able to log in, but couldn't really go further than that.

All you really need for now is ability to see profiles, send and recieve mail, see pics, the text chat was a good idea. Maybe a pic text, where you can be on the site, take a pic or video and send it instantly. (I guess that would depend on the phone). Oh, the forum. Also, maybe a section so you can read and reply to different posts and see events and who has RSVPed.

Anyways, keep up the good thinking!

If we can't get the "GROUPS" back up and running here on the site - maybe we can get them on mobile.

Uploading pictures may or may not be a possibility depending on the phone software. We will most likely have the option to allow you to send a text message with a photo attachment to a unique address and have it sent to a mobile folder on your Swingular account.

This mobile version is basically like using an app but we don't have to design 3 or 4 different apps to run on different phone platforms.

I would include limited booty call viewing and events. If you are driving to an event, it would be great to be able to look it up.

Looking forward to trying it out! I will provide feedback to you guys on how it works with the Blackberry Storm once you get it up and running.

The Blackberry PSDK includes a Blackberry simulator in which you can see how the site looks on every model available

do you Iphone folks know that the flash based features of the site will work fine if you open each link in a separate page? hold down the link until it gives you the options menu and "open in new page" it will allow you to reply to mail and view profiles.

I was just about to post asking about a mobile site! It would be way awesome to be able to look at the site on my iPhone without it wiggin out!!

I think those three items would be the minimal necessary from the mobile. Leave the chatroom to regular access.

I would definitely be in here more often lurking hotties if there was a mobile app!! This gets me excited!! I know the Mr. would be pleased too!!

Being able to view videos would be amazing in addition to uploading them. Will there be an app we can download as well? Or just mobile version?

This thread is more than 5 years old.. so it's unlikely that anything is coming in our lifetime. =)

We got tired of waiting and rolled out our own mobile experience for Swingular that we (initially) intended to use just for ourselves, but have decided to give it to the community, or anyone that wants it...

It has all the features the admin pointed out in the very first post, plus a LOT more..

Open your iPhone, Android, tablet, etc. and go to: https://BlackRingMobile.com in the browser to get started!

It's still in beta, and we're still adding new features, but it's ready for you to start using. (If you can be forgiving of any little bugs you might encounter).

BlackRingMobile.com has all the usual stuff you've been wanting in a mobile app:

- Read/Send Messages
- Manage Friends
- View / RSVP to events.
- View Profiles and Photos
- Upload photos from your phone!!!

Plus a few things you can ONLY do from the mobile app:

- Rate other couples, set a "stage" you're at with them, and attach private notes.
- Send/receive text messages to other couples without revealing your cell phone number.
- See who's currently at the event you're attending
- ... and MUCH more!

You can even use BlackRingMobile.com to check-in to the party on Friday!!!!! When you arrive, Open the event, and touch "Check-In". It'll ask for your first-names, and what color wrist-band you want (experienced people get black, newbies get green, if they want). Show your phone-screen to the greeter, and you're in!

Once checked-in, touch the "Who's Here" button to see (literally) everyone else who's already there -- you can even send them a text message letting them know you've arrived!

Again, this was created initially with the idea of ME wanting a damn mobile app and not getting one... However, the community at large is WELCOME to use it (free of charge).

Those concerned about sharing their password with some third party should understand a few things... a) You don't have to use it (that's fine with me)...b) Your password is never stored anywhere (except in memory, in the form of a session cookie, for the duration of the session), and c) The app is really nothing more than a different way of viewing the swingular website in your browser. The authentication piece is "passed through" to Swingular, and once the session has been established, the password is destroyed in (even in memory). And, of course, everything is encrypted from end to end. It is as secure as I can possibly make it, given the circumstances.

(Also, I'm WIDE open to donating this to the site admin, potentially even for free, if he would like to make it an official part of the site).

Yes please make it work with Apple products. I try and use my iPad but cannot scroll down in the profiles to see what people are actually after. It will work ok on my hubby's samsung if he turns it sideways. I have to be discreet with kids home and cannot use my desktop much.

Over 100 people now using the BlackRingMobile.com app every day... It does everything everyone here has suggested, and a LOT more. =)

Really cool new feature just added today... You can organize your friends into different lists (good way to keep track of people for various purposes) -- and even send a private-message to everyone on a list at the same time. (Great for organizing a house-party, for example...)

Also added the ability to browse the booty-calls, and greatly enhanced the couple-rating and stage management tools.... (Keeping track of which couples you like, are trying to hook up with, have hooked up with, or are not interested in is SLICK now). And remember, you can now send/receive texts to other couples without revealing your cell #.

This is probably now the most powerful (and easy to use) mobile experience across the entire lifestyle community, even compared to the apps offered by the "big" guys...

Seriously.. if you haven't tried it... You're REALLY missing out! (I can no longer live without it!!)

I get a system error on my Android device when I try to do almost anything on the Black Ring app; could this be a setting of mine messing it up?

Have thought about it.. but the profile page is REALLY complex and would not be very friendly to try and edit from a mobile device... Best just left alone... and it's not something people really do "on the fly", anyway.

The mobile app doesn't use an API to talk to Swingular.. Swingular doesn't have an API... it basically takes your credentials, logs in as you behind the scene, and "screen scrapes" the data and passes it back in a mobile-friendly view. The lack of an API means it was a hell of a lot of work.

As far as "who is black ring"... It's me. Nobody else... and other than some basic content-caching to speed things up, nothing is stored.

And, of course, you don't HAVE to use the app... you could wait another 5 years for the admin to produce something [since the date on the first note in this thread is from 2010]... or even just stick to the normal website. I created this PURELY as a service to the swinging community in Utah and don't expect anyone to use it if they don't want to or aren't comfortable with it.

That said... it's pretty damn cool. =)
