Several people have lambasted the \"parents\" of the children exposed to the swingers\' activities. I\'d like to take a different approach. Don\'t \"swingers\" have any common sense? For starters, the writer of the piece didn\'t make it clear whether the parents were or weren\'t with the children during the time of the exposure. Based on an \"adult\" reporting the incident(s) to hotel management though (Mr. Young, I believe), I\'ll take it that there might have been at least one situation where the parents were with the children. Besides, it doesn\'t say the the kids were out late at night. It doesn\'t make any specific statement about when the incident(s) took place. It does say that the swingers did their activities \"in front\" of the children. Didn\'t they have the common sense to notice youngens around and be discrete? Didn\'t the hotel management have enough sense to realize that swingers would probably be exposing themselves and therefore cover up the glass surrounding the ballroom where the majority of the event took place? And didn\'t the swingers\' group organizers have any sense to address those issues before, or even during, the event to make sure that anyone (child or adult) who doesn\'t want to \"participate\" in their enjoyment wouldn\'t have to be exposed to it (no pun intended, but hey!)? On the other hand, shouldn\'t a parent feel in a high level hotel like a Crowne Plaza that their kid could safely go down to the lobby vending machine (or whatever) without having to monitor their every movement? From this perspective, there\'s plenty of blame to go around, except for the kids. Something else needs to be said here which is how people \"read into\" news coverage. It was quite interesting to see comments about the \"impression\" that the article made regardless of what it did or didn\'t actually say.

Christain Swingers? - - If your interpretation of the scriptures is very literal, then the answer is of course that swinging and christianity can not co exsist. I am not a believer in the INSTITUTION of Christianity as a whole, I do not beleive that ANYBODY who has taken the time to educate themselves about the origins of Christianity (particularly the Roman Catholic Church) and organized religeon (sp?) could be a true believer, however that in no way means that I do not believe in GOD. Swingers at work... - - Yes it's fascinating, what kind of reaction you will get from people when you realize that you know them from some where else. I (male) had a similar experience on one of my many business trips. I was visiting a place far from home and was searching the local area as I do for someone to meet and try to find a tour guide of the local area. I have always figured why not be a swinger, because if we hit it off then everyone wins, new friends in different parts of the country. Anyway, I arrived at my business location and after about three days of working with this certain gentleman I notice A photo on his desk that was identical to one they had on their profile (different site mind you) now we had been working together for almost a week straight and he was a very nice man. So I pondered how I would suggest that I had seen the picture somewhere else, I figured that a nice little greeting card was the way to go. I politely wrote in the card, something along the lines of "I believe I have seen you and your wife on the site (bla, bla, bla,) and was interested in whether you two would like to spend sometime showing me the local area. Not once suggesting that we play. I gave him the card on a Friday, and I let it go for the weekend, hoping to chat with him and see what their reply would be. When I arrived at my work station on the following Monday I found out he called in sick, and had scheduled vacation for the rest of the week that I would still be there. I never did get any reply other then the cold shoulder. As I said it's very fascinating what kind of reactions you get from people.

D&D free? - is this an oxymoron? - As I've been pondering all the intriguing aspects of this new world we are entering, something doesn't mesh in my mind. We live in a nation where billions (at least multi-millions) are spent daily to advertise drugs. This is done because it enables the drug companies to make multi-billions selling drugs. You can get prescription drugs for everything from your pecker to your severe depression about your pecker! And this is only the legal/prescription drug industry - I imagine the illegal drug business is even bigger. Just exactly where do all these drugs go? I suppose a lot are consumed by folks who have minimal concerns about engaging in high risk activities? Hmmm..... swingers?nah? Fact is the math would indicate that there is a lot more coursing through the veins of just about everyone we encounter than just the good ol redwhite&blue! Same goes for disease. I don't believe the existence of most of it is caused by long-term monogamous relationships. When you are only as safe as the very last physical contact you have and you deal in a world of relative strangers, well, you get the picture. I hope these are not interpreted to be negative comments. I truly am just trying to figure out the mentality of the profiles I read.
