Whats happend to us since.... - - We've met some really kick ass people, to include the author of this post. My wife and I are from Oregon where the scene is a little more mainstream and a little less "Hush Hush". With all of the that "Hippy Love" left over from the 60's, the "On-Premise" clubs and being so full of liberals, Oregon is a swingers paradise. The Ironic thing is, because of the religious backgrounds of a lot of the Native-Born Utahans (being told no and don't from birth), they are some of the most sexually explosive people I have ever encountered. Professionals - - Some of our best friends work in retail and construction trades. Some are "professionals." But it IS relevant to how we interract and what everyone's expectations and comfort levels are.
If we were construction workers or farmers (for example), we wouldn't give a rat's ass who knew we were swingers. But our livelihoods could and would be dramatically impacted if it became common knowledge that we are swingers. This means a few things are done differently than they would be otherwise:
1. No public face pics.
2. No public names or detailed descriptions.
3. "You show us yours...we'll show you ours" policy with locals.
4. 99.9% "no locals" play policy.
5. When we do entertain locally, it must be discreet. If we go to a public place, there is no cross-couple PDA.
If it were not for our status in the community as "professionals" being a matter of eating and living indoors for us, we wouldn' have ANY of these guidelines. We know couples who have met couples publicly who are NOT "professionals" who simply could not respect their boundaries and risked their reputations (thus livelihoods) with inappropriate behavior even after being asked not to. It freaking happens! And it is one of the gravest forms of disrespect/disregard for someone to do this. You think I'm gonna walk into the convenience store where your wife works and stick my tongue down her throat in front of her boss? NOT! And it's the same thing for us when couples disrespect our discretion boundaries. It could force us into bankruptcy.

Why Be In Utah? - - The Mormon culture is Thick and repressive, winters are cold and the air is filthy. What makes Utah great in my opinion is the country. From deep dry snow only moments from the main population centers,to world class rivers, spectacular desert country. Utah, despite It's crazy rules and history, is a very beautiful place to be. And there is a pretty crazy swingers scene.
Las Vegas Swingers club - - Just go. You have to fill out some paperwork for "membership" and get a tour - but it makes for a great introduction. If you're going on a Friday/Saturday you might want to get there by 9 or a little before.
Now a single male looking for a rebound play - - Yeah, swinging can cause huge pressure on a marriage and totally screw it up. I'm sure that's why most swingers, myself included, would never recommend swinging as a way to "spice-up" a marriage that is having some difficulty. You definitely have to be on the same page as your partner in order to give swinging a go -- and then be pretty damn quick on your feet and adaptable as things get going -- perhaps in a direction that you didn't expect.
