Breaking the 4th wall - meeting a swinger in a vanilla situation. - Traveling to a party in Ogden, while gassing up at a truck stop, we ran into some casual friends of friends (Not Swingers) from our home town and it was a little odd trying to come up with a cover story on the spot, it was easier though because they were also flustered. Key West - - Yeah whatever you do avoid Club Pu like the plague. You will have much more fun and meet more swingers at the Garden of Eden clothing optional bar. It's on the 3rd floor above the Bull Bar. Saint Pats day in KW is great!! No real parade to speak of but Finnegan's Wake closes the street and has a block party, thats a blast! Also on Saturday March 14th there is a Saint Pattys Bar Stroll... thats a fun event also. Spring break will be going on at the same time so it should be pretty crowded down here. Some men do value personality over body type and some definitely value body type over personality. It's the same for women too. In fact, on average, we've met more women who are extremely picky about body type, etc. than men. And body type isn't the only thing that can be a deal breaker for people. Age is also a line in the sand for many swingers. For others, things like smoking or drug use can be big factors in choosing play partners. And there are MANY quite minor factors that people use to weed out people they may not want to play with. I think it's probably because swinging is more or less a fantasy activity and people are looking for a certain type that hits most or at least some of their checkmarks for a fantasy partner.Those may be body type, hair color, ethnicity, age, or one of many other criteria. The really interesting part, to me, is how people are often FAR more forgiving of certain physical characteristics in their own partner than they are in someone they want to have sex with. Yet they often get upset when other people also have that same attitude. I do think, though, that people kind of get in their own way a little bit and in their search for the perfect swing playmate often overlook someone who is on many levels a good or even great match but not a perfect one. Were young but give us a chance!!! - - I notice that you two signed up just about two weeks ago? I would say first off to give it time. Trust and friendships within the swinging community often takes time and cultivating. It is a large and close-knit community...which means that the more people that you meet, you will meet their friends and get more peeps in your "swinging network". Only being on this site for 2 weeks means that your exposure to the social side of the community has been VERY limited. To compound that, you're legally underage for the types of activities (drinking) and venues that many of these activities occur. Be patient, and look for the other ways to meet people on here. The chat room is always a good start, there is a good variety of swingers from all age groups and social statuses that are there. Being active (in a POSITIVE, not argumentative way...we all know who we are) on the Forum threads is another way to get yourselves better known. What I would NOT do, however...is whine that you're not getting any chances given to you. That arguement is certainly not unique to the younger crowd here, as many of the older people can complain that they're not given a chance either due to their age, gray hair...whatever.
