Too Many Fake People Here - Nobody really wants to fuck! -

It's important to remember that you're swimming in a very shallow pond here. There aren't many actual members on this site. It's like growing up in a very rural area where K-12 is all housed in one building. By the time you graduate, you've pretty much fucked everyone that was willing to fuck you. The actual numbers in your area (meaning REAL people behind the profile) do not support a robust lifestyle community. It's a bit like going to a carnival with only two rides. One you've ridden them, there's nothing left to do.
You make a good point, but the pond here is pretty deep! LOL Just done a quick search, and the their are well over 4,000 profiles listed within 11 miles of my house. And that does not include some very large areas north and south of us. I realize many are fake, inactive, etc...but should still be a fair number of them active!
Not a fucking chance. That is ALL bullshit. We lived in Draper for years and we're very familiar with the puddle of ACTUAL members in your area. If you have 4000 profiles just in your area, one of the least populated states in the country, this site would be exploding with activity. It's not. Nationwide, this site rarely shows more than 1650 people online at any given time. In the entire country. Swingular has a bot program that constantly generates fake profiles all day, every day. They're pretty easy to spot. This site is only relevant along I-15 between Ogden and Spanish Fork, with a few stragglers in the region as far as ID, WY and NV. Swingular also activates dead profiles and allows them to show as "being online" when they aren't. The whole thing is a farce.
We've been on Swingular since it was a beta. There ARE a LOT of swingers (of varying activity levels) in Utah...probably due to the repressive nature of the local religion as much as anything. We've been active in the swinging community for 30 years here and in a number of different states and can attest to the fact that, per capita, Utah has a comparatively large, active and vibrant swing scene. We've personally met (but not necessarily played with) hundreds of different couples and we're really not all that active as far as attending parties or going to meet and greets or even meeting people thru the site. I don't know for certain if Swingular has "bots" but I'm fairly certain that if it did it would be quite easy to tell by seeing replicated photos, etc. It's easy to reverse Google a photo on Swingular and see if it's a stock photo or taken from another site. If there is another way that you're able to "spot" fake/generated profiles please enlighten the rest of us so that we can see your proof.

Site Weirdness - A thousand less members online than usual? -

I've only been on here about a month and I get logged out by the site frequently, even as I'm writing something.
(M)Was just reading your profile and half way through I was loged out so guess they still have things to do, but still the best site for swingers. Anyway I like your profile LOL.
Thanks, that's kind of you. I won't leave you hanging; it ends w/ me being a hardass smartass; shocking, I know. For all its flaws, I've had a more enjoyable month on this site than I've had on any other - from Match to SciConnect to the dreaded but always entertaining Craigslist.

Vegas Recommendations? - Where do you recommend we go in Vegas - Swing club wise that is. - We have attended, and can recommend, the weekly Purrfect LV parties. They take place in a club in the Mandalay Bay. There is a private bar but you are free to mingle in the main part of the club where you can identify other swingers by their wristbands (necessary to enter the private space). There is also an after-party for the adventurous. The events are extremely well organized and attract a mix of locals and out-of-towners.

NYE Party - NYE A Magical Masquerade Update -
What an amazing community. It is very generous of everyone to defend Dusk VIP for taking a risk on this venture. I think the first post on this tread makes clear the basic business plan here was lacking strategy and execution. Luckily for the community. this is an very competitive market with premium pay for play fun in a local McMansion as well as more intimate house parties with a more communal approach to the opportunity presented by such a vibrant and fun loving group. We have no regrets for we checking out your first attempt at creating a nice club, and accepted your offer for a bounce back in good faith. We had no trouble finding many awesome contingency plans at the last minute. Is it possible to run this venture like the other clubs in the valley that charge for drinks, and maybe even a cover for a special event? It would seem there is a demand for a swingers club in town. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors!
There definitely a demand for swinger clubs. Just a difference between people wanting one and Utah lawmakers and council allowing one. :p

In need of advice - sexual -
I just have to say it amazes me how judgmental swingers can be... you would think from the outside looking in that they wouldn't be.
Not judging just yet, I do that and make a fool of myself more than I want to admit. But in this case I am trying to see something real.. Have you considered he might be a single male posing as married? We have seen that a few times over the years. My point is there is no one to validate him or his story. When we have differences of opinions or ask for advice on the site we recognize who we are talking about and can respect or have some faith in what they are saying. I believe if your going to talk about a specific person in a negative way on a forum they should have the right to see it and defend themselves.

Met someone you know at a lifestyle event - - Been there, done that, have the t-shirt. There's really no easy way to explain, deflect, lie, or otherwise extricate yourself from that situation. Counting, just now in my head, it's happened to us no less than half a dozen times. Everyone from family members (Ms. Evil's cousin), friends of friends (BFF's of our former next door neighbors), business acquaintances/clients, you name it. It's always such an unexpected shock that we invariably handle it poorly. LOL ps- Happened again last night at a wedding, of all things! Not really a lifestyle event/party but plenty of swingers there and the implications were probably fairly obvious to anyone really paying attention.

KSL swing story - - The story was terribley produced. Little to no research. As I said in the thread leading up to KSL being at the Club 90 party, they decided what story they were going to write before they even put pen to paper, and they were not going to let the truth get in the way of their story. I particularily liked the way it played women to be victims in the Lifestyle, especially when everyone knows it is women that really run the show and have the biggest say-so in who a couple plays with. Also, in surveys of swingers when asked "Who's idea was it to start swinging?" 34% of the time it was the wife that first brought it up. Sure, men still accounted for 54% of the survey (the rest couldn't remember who's idea it was originally), but it's not the men wanting sex with other women and drawing their poor defenseless wife into the lurid underground world of wife swapping to do it. Hell, anyone who's been around it for a while knows it's more "husband swapping" anyway. :p I've been following the comments on KSL's website, and these people have no life. They wait to watch the news every night and then add their two cents to every subject. None of them have any idea what they are talking about. As Ozzie Guillen says about arm chair coaches and sportscasters "the farther you sit from the plate the smarter you think you are." LMAO But all the comments are along the same lines, the evil cheating husband luring his innocent, unsuspecting wife into the seedy underworld. Then you get the fake profile they put up and within "six days, 70 married men, most from Utah, ask to start a fling." LMAO Damn, how many couples get emails every day from "free member" married men looking to cheat? We get at least one a day. The same old story over and over: Married Mormon family man who says "I love my wife but she doesn't like sex". These people need to look within themselves. We're not the problem, they are. Plus, most of us won't play with cheaters and after a time we've become very adept at sniffing them out. My wife gets at least one married Mormon man a day sending her an IM on her personal Yahoo! Messenger ID, and they find her in the Yahoo! directory (not Yahoo! Personals, the directory). They just go through looking for women online to contact. They don't know she is a swinger. Her Yahoo! profile is innocent as can be. If they are going to cheat they will find a way, with or without swingers. Wow... I'd love to say this on KSL's site, but like fun4usxx said, it will just add fuel to the fire and you can't win. You can't fix stupid. Mr. Caress4u

'Neighbors with Benefits' to air on A&E - Excited to watch? - Looking at the preview, I have a problem with the show before even seeing it. It looks like the people on it are all going to be 20 or 30 something, and pretty darned physically attractive. Great TV marketing strategy, I suppose. Get people to tune in to see great looking people who engage in "forbidden" sex. Titillate the viewing populace. But NOT anything even close to a representation of the people in the lifestyle. Sure there are people as young as in their twenties in it. I was in bed with one a few weeks ago (yes, miracles do happen, folks. Even with old codgers like me [em]Emo_100[/em] ). But not only is the lifestyle not made up entirely of really hot looking people in their 20s and 30s, they aren't even a really large chunk of it. The largest single age group, based on what I've seen at events and parties, as well as on the site, are in their 40s. And far from all being fit, slim, and very sexy in a traditional sense, they are mostly average. In other words, the majority of us are normal people. And until the society as a whole starts seeing swingers as just normal folks, swinging isn't ever going to be well accepted. I also have a suspicion that the show is going to present swinging as a bunch of people getting together then all pairing off randomly with whoever. In other words, the view of swinging that vanilla society already seems to have. I really doubt that this show is going to do anything good for the lifestyle, mainly because I expect it to present a warped view of the reality of swinging. ~ Terry.
