Disneyland swingers - - We just got back from Disneyland. too bad.

Denver. what to do? - Headed to Denver next week, what must duo's are there? - I've lived on and off in Boulder/Denver for over 12 years and I can tell you the LS scene is booming! Yes, The Ranch (scarlet ranch) is great but you have to pay to get in and it's best when there's an event like NYE or a foam party (those are great!) I would get on scarletlifestyle.com, which is their companion site kind of like Swingular. There you can meet people in the area and see what events are going on at the Ranch while you're there. So the joke in Denver is...if you go to Highlands Ranch (SW Denver) and you see white rocks in the front yard then they are swingers. Denver, or to be specific, Highlands Ranch, is home to the largest swinger/lifestyle community in the country so enjoy! For fun, Shotgun Willie's (Glendale) and La Boheme (downtown Denver), both strip clubs, are fun and fillup with LSers on Friday and Saturday nights. Otherwise, the "clubs and bars" in Denver don't generally catered to swingers unless there's a hosted event. Hope this helps.

Utah - - We like the fact that as swingers in Utah we have this dirty little secret that we have and we can sneak around (not unlike a cheating spouse we imagine) behind our neighbors, family and the Church's back doing all sorts of evil deeds and loving every minute of it. We've met TONS of Mormon "refugees" like ourselves who are so happy and excited to finally have the yoke of the Church off our backs that we go quite wild and enjoy our debauchery all the more. Other areas we've lived and "swung" don't quite have the same naughty feel as though we're getting away with something quite forbidden. So yeah, a lot of living in Utah can be a compromise and some of it downright sucks but overall it's extremely fun being EXTREMELY bad here. ;-) The Evildoers

thoughts on Pictures - - I have to agree that just a genital shot for an opener is not very good. But I have also seen face shots that look like mug shots and sure are not much more interesting. Come on, this is a SWINGERS site!!! After all the object is to promote our involvement in this lifestyle. Our profile and pics are supposed to tell something about us. My wife likes to pose, and I enjoy taking her pictures. We try to use pics that show how we feel, or how we want to be precieved in the lifestyle. We get lots of feed back telling how they like her smile, or how we look like a fun couple. It makes us feel good that people enjoy what we have to share with them. Some people have no pics at all, others have one, or just a few dull shots, or the close up genital shots. Put something into your albums, and you will get more out of this site, and maybe this lifestyle. Thats my opinion.

Keeping safe - Single females staying safe - Terry, That's all fine and good but you don't think that a guy might just SAY that in hopes of changing the girl's mind later? I'm not questioning your integrity or motives just saying that, in general, many guys will say and do just about anything for sex. I could easily imagine quite a few scenarios where a guy could come across with seemingly good intentions but have ulterior motives. Hell, we've had guys write us and ask to meet them and their wives (without disclosing that we're swingers) and suggest that we get the wife really drunk and then have sex with them. Again, I'm not saying anything about YOUR character or motives, just that because a guy SAYS he won't play with his "date" doesn't necessarily automatically make him trustworthy. YMMV Evil ps- We won't EVEN get into the subject of things like date rape drugs which by many accounts ARE being used in the swing scene by nefarious individuals. [em]Emo_8[/em]

If you're going to blame your customer - At least remove the evidence it's your fault. - I'm the poster child for every fucking error message, connection problem and browser fuck up imaginable on my POS laptop and I don't have any problems at all. And FWIW I'm on another swing site that's MUCH more expensive than Swingular and there are just as many people complaining about these issues and more. I know a guy who does I.T. for the other swing site and it's a fucking nightmare trying to deal with every possible combination and configuration of OS, browser, server, and ISP out there. Not downplaying the problems you're having, just sayin' it's kinda like a ginormous swing party with uber hot young cuties, old fat farts, drama ridden noobs, posers, maybe a bunch of polys who don't know they aren't really swingers anymore, and about a thousand creepy single guys from Craigslist and then expecting each and every one of them to just get along famously and then play Twister on a huge Twister mat with a dude who only speaks Mandarin Chinese spinning the spinner and calling out the color and body part combos.

St. Pete FL... Anyone out there!?!?!? - - Everyone here KNOWS that all the best swingers are here in Utah. Yeah the rest of the world THINKS it's all like very staunch and staid and conservative here...you can't get a drink and people wear Amish style clothing. It's all a ruse. Actually there are TONS people are running around naked here fucking each other right and left. It's AWESOOOOME!!! But don't tell anyone cause we want to keep all the naked debauchery to ourselves. Shhhhhhhh

Same room only? - Our new approach - Actually, you're sort of lucky that people who wrote you back try to talk you into doing more at that early juncture instead of the all too common ploy where they think they can convince you to do more once you're all getting ready to play or actually playing. It all comes down to a matter of respect and a lot of swingers, sadly, are just too concerned about their own desires and agenda and think they can persuade you to go beyond your rules and limits once you see how amazingly hot they are and realize how utterly lucky you are to be able to be with them at all. Yes, that last little part was sarcasm.

New Forum Rules - No Censorship, No Moderation, Just a Few Rules -

Rob, The Don

Very good move. Most popular public forums on the web have moderators that keep it above the belt. I am a "levels of force" kinda person. I usually keep it in the "smack talk" region until someone pulls out the big guns and says something that totally insults me, my service to the country, my way of life etc. Then I think it's fair to defend myself. I was never one to tolerate bullies Forum moderation is a good think as long as you are not dinged on everything you say. If done in moderation itself, I think it's key in a happy community. After all, not all of us will agree all of the time. Any good community has a police system in place. Some of us do not hold themselves to a moral believe system (dogma). What it "proper etiquette" to some, may not be to others. We are a culturally & sexually diverse, multi-faceted, large gamut of unique individuals. Each of us even differ from our spouses/significant others (if that applies). Can you you say you never argue with your spouse? Can you say you have never said anything brash to anyone? Were you apologetic to those you did not like? I think most reasonable individuals would say yes to most of those and no to the last one. What is more likely, is that they chose to avoid contact with that person. Everyone here has a choice to involve themselves in the conversations that happen here. For instance, if you were to post in a "GAY MARRIAGE" thread and post your opinion as to why an adult of clear mind and total consent, should not be allowed to enter into legal marriage with another adult of any sex, they so chose because of your own personal moral system. You are then adamant about holding to you view no matter how many time you are told that there is a seperation of church and state and that the "sanctity of marriage, between a man and a woman" is that of religious code and does not apply to the legal system, as it is unconstitutional. Yet you still wish to force your law on the rest of society because your upbringing told you that homosexuality is wrong and that marriage is not meant for gays. If this applies to you, then you are not reasonable and the only way I wish to deal with unreasonable people is to tell them to fuck off. I am saying you don't have the right to avoid homosexual marriage for youself? NO! I am saying you don't have the right to choose for others. I guess what I am saying is that many of you don't want to hear anyone say anything that differs from your own little world, yet you are swingers. Many of you think one -way and don't want to hear something that turns your belief system on it's head. If you can not respect or tolerate diversity I have no respect for you. I will not respect your beliefs, rights or opinions if you will not afford everyone else the same. YOU REAP WHAT YOU SEW. I vow, from hence forth, to do my best to be civil to everyone here. I expect the same from all of you. I can play nice with you, if you play nice with me. Remember, if you disrespect me, I will definetly return the courtesy :-) Thanks Rob. Thank you for proving that forum moderation can be a good thing.

Single male in this lifestyle.. - I have questions for couples and single females. -
sorry Evildoers but stupid people get my goat
Look, I hear where you're coming from. But I sort of know this guy. Never actually met him, but there was some, I guess you could say, interaction through emails. And he sort of screwed something up, kind of embarrassed me with someone else, and pissed me off. For a minute. And the reason it was only for a minute (the fact that she thought it wasn't a big thing helped, I'll admit) was that he'd made an honest, but sort of clueless, mistake. And that he really wasn't aware that not doing what you say you're going to, and not letting anyone know until the very last minute when you could have let them know a lot sooner, is a much bigger thing here than it is in the vanilla world. But now he does know, and I'd be amazed if he ever did anything like that again. And my read on him is that he isn't stupid, just ignorant, a basically nice guy trying to figure out how to navigate in an unknown territory. And yeah, this is a topic that keeps coming up. But you know what? I suspect that the guys that bring it up are actually serious about the lifestyle, and that the ones who try it and find out it wasn't the "all the girls want to fuck" scene they thought it would be just shrug their shoulders and go back to the bars. I I suspect that a lot of swingers didn't get into it until they were a couple. And I also suspect that they might not realize what it's like for a single guy, if he's one that isn't just trying to find a quick and easy way to get laid. Believe it or not, not all of them are. Me, it's a case of been there, done that. Back when "free love" was all the rage, before Herpes, AIDS, or any other really serious STD, when any guy who couldn't go out on just about any Friday night and end up in bed with some girl had to be either the Hunchback of Notre Dame or a complete and total asshole,I was a single male in the lifestyle. I sure as Hell wasn't trying to find an easy way to get laid, in those days it didn't take much of an effort at all. And you'd think swinging was easier then, with sex being such a casual, no big deal, thing. But it was actually even harder and more complicated. As Evil said, it was called wife swapping, and it was a seriously bad thing as far as society was concerned. Swinger functions, like Sinful Saturdays, Risquee Soiree stuff, Meet n Greets? No way, Jose. There were only private, invite only, parties. There wasn't any internet, if someone was silly enough to try to set something like that up and advertise in the papers (the only avenue available then), no paper was going to take the ad. Everything was word of mouth, and that word pretty much only went to couples. It was actually dangerous. There were cases (not a lot, thankfully, but some) of the local police somehow finding out about a wife swapping party, raiding it, and hitting everyone there with morals charges. Which could even cost people their jobs. That was in the '70s, it did start to sort of loosen up in the '80s, which is when I left the country and the scene, but it was still more complicated than it is today, with no internet and everything word of mouth and single men by invitation only. So why did I bother, when sex was so damned easy to find everywhere? I LIKED these people, that's why. They were ignoring what everyone thought they should or shouldn't do, and were doing what they thought was right for them. Which is how I've believed, since I was maybe 15, that everyone should be. Point being, not all single males are JUST trying to get laid. So if someone comes along who takes the time and effort to ask how he can navigate what are some pretty treacherous waters, I think he deserves to be treated as if he's serious, just a little clueless, and not be ridiculed for it. Hell, even Evil, who's quicker than anyone I know to jump on utter stupidity with both feet, and ridicule the Hell out of it, gave the guy a break and some good, if blatant and not sugar coated, advice.
