The first indication of someone being a swinger is their overly friendly disposition. Swingers are usually very eager to please whoever they meet even to the point of purchasing rather expensive gifts for their new friends. Contrary to what most think about them, they are not overly flirty as much as just extremely helpful and courteous.
It is all in the eyes. The gaze of a swinger is different than that of others. They usually make solid, more aggressive eye contact with those who they have affection for. Hot Wife Anklets - Who knows what they are and notices them? - I think they're mostly an urban legend, at least as far as the myth of a woman who wears an anklet being into that particular sexual act. Yes, women in the "hotwife" lifestyle sometimes wear them. But so do other women of all ages and persuasions.
Personally, I wouldn't make any assumptions about a woman's sexual proclivities based on a particular piece of jewelry that she is or isn't wearing. I even had a neighbor once who I noticed wearing an anklet that actually SAID "Hotwife" on it. I guarantee that the only connotation it had for her was that she was a wife and her husband thought she was hot.

Where are the Midwest Swingers? - - I agree. It is almost impossible to find anyone from Illinois or Missouri in the chat rooms, let alone anyone that wants to chat with a single male. Another SM looking for attention. What is this site coming to? I have not had a problem with the overly generous tolerance of SMs on this site, but lately it seems like SMs are getting out of control.
If you have ever been to a nice swinger club in Florida, you will see the difference between Friday (SMs welcome) and Saturday nights (couples only). The reason: the SM "Towel Sharks" circle around the play areas looking to watch couples and maybe even get some for themselves. Sometimes the SMs get so aggressive with the couples, it often creates conflicts and drives couples away.
On this site we are all supposed to be nice to the SMs and not bash them. I understand the need to be civil and respectful to everybody. I also know many of the couples here enjoy hooking up with SMs (we are guilty of that multiple times ourselves). Of course, many SMs are nice guys who lay low and don't cause problems.
Having said that... This post, the Mr. "Save-A-Life" post, and all the other stupid SM "Look at ME" posts, are really screwing this site up. In our book (and probably the majority of other reasonable people's opinions) SWINGERS are "couples" looking for other "couples". Sure swinger couples often look for a single to join, but its usually a female (highly prized) and not a male (over supply).
SMs are not swingers. They are looking for some poontang and all too often they assume that swingers have loose women to share with them. Come on guys... get your own girl and THEN join the party. Hanging around here, perving on pics, and hoping for some strange, does not make you a SWINGER!
With an over-supply of SMs, they have to resort to aggressive self-promotion in order to get noticed. This silly thread here is another example of that.

thoughts on Pictures - - I have to agree that just a genital shot for an opener is not very good. But I have also seen face shots that look like mug shots and sure are not much more interesting. Come on, this is a SWINGERS site!!! After all the object is to promote our involvement in this lifestyle. Our profile and pics are supposed to tell something about us. My wife likes to pose, and I enjoy taking her pictures. We try to use pics that show how we feel, or how we want to be precieved in the lifestyle. We get lots of feed back telling how they like her smile, or how we look like a fun couple. It makes us feel good that people enjoy what we have to share with them.
Some people have no pics at all, others have one, or just a few dull shots, or the close up genital shots. Put something into your albums, and you will get more out of this site, and maybe this lifestyle. Thats my opinion.
What Percentage Swinger Are You? - Maybe this is interesting - Pretty small. Some would probably consider us semi-retired or maybe even posers. We've been in the lifestyle for a long time and have pretty much fulfilled all or most of our fantasies so now we're sort of opportunistic swingers.
