Disabled Swingers - - We have actually encountered a somewhat local couple who we really like, and she is in a wheelchair. I'm ashamed to say that we have not become very close, other than being friendly at parties as we're unsure of what is expected and what her "disability" is. Personally, I think it would be much easier to "approach" an obviously "disabled" person/couple if there was some sort of specified background on the disability and its limitations and requirements for that person- sexually speaking.... (Perhaps a basic run-thru in your profile?) I know that several people suffer from different "ailments" that can sometimes be frustrating to potential sex partners. I myself (female half) have rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia and severe colitis - none of which have responded well (if at all) to treatment. These seemingly small (compared to being in a wheelchair) ailments can have a big impact on my sex life! I cannot always be trusted to show up at a party, and when I CAN, I'm often hurting so bad that "playing" is out of the question. When I DO play, I tire more quickly than I'd like, and certain positions are out of the question. Often, meeting for dinner is uncomfortable with the digestive "issues" that follow eating... etc. etc. So when we become friendly enough with people we might be interested in playing with, I have to be up-front and let them know what they're dealing with... even tho my problems may sound trivial, they're not to me, and they can and DO end up affecting my sexual performance and my social life, or lack thereof! I don't like to say much, because to me it sounds like "whining" and the last thing I want to be is a whiner! However, we all need to realize that everyone has their own problems, obstacles, issues, etc and when we know what we're looking at, we can decide if it's going to be worth the effort to try and establish a sexual relationship. If people are aware of what you CAN do, they may be more willing to become involved. And if they're not willing to work with you and understand that you've got some limitations, but that you've still got alot going for you.. then you're probably better off without them. I hope that helps... And the very best of luck to you both! Hugz!

Honesty - parallels? - The topic of honesty (more accurately, lack thereof) has been prevalent in recent political posts - for good reason. Everyone would like to see more openness and honesty from the candidates. That sounds similar to one of the most common complaints among swingers. Here's the question - Does anyone think that a person could win the SURVIVOR TV game on a platform of "honesty"? Personally, I think it highly unlikely. Honesty in politics? Honesty in swinging? Honesty in game playing? Any chance?

Girls that are into DP - How common is this activity among the swingers? -

DVP?
I'll take either opening that I'm allowed in. Girls that are into DP - How common is this activity among the swingers? - only done it once, but would love to try it again. any volunteers

LDS Survey Results - - Wow.... just wow. I would have hoped that since we have all made the decision to swing and embrace the lifestyle, that people would be accepting of one another. Does it really matter if someone is Mormon? Is it truly necessary to bash someone's religion to that extent? There should be no place or tolerance for that here. My husband and I are active LDS, and I am not ashamed to say so. We both attended BYU and we have no guilt. We took a marriage prep class in college and the teacher told us that whatever happens in the bedroom stays in the bedroom. As long as both parteners are comfortable with what is going on and nobody is being degraded, it's all good. We view extra partners as a sex toy... nothing more. We keep our lines of communication open, we only play when our marriage is strong and we are not having any disagreements. It has actually saved our marriage and we are doing better than we ever have before. We both hold prominent callings in our ward. I thought this survey was very interesting... we haven't had much opportunity to meet other LDS swingers in so.cal (though we hear they do exist), so seeing the experiences and beliefs of others elsewhere is very nice.

Which Motorcycle Survey? - In the market and want your opinion... -
Oh, I have strong thoughts on this subject folks. And I am really doing my homework and shopping very thoroughly. I'm taking my time because I won't be buying until Feb/Mar at the earliest. And I've been watching the Can-Am develop over the past 3 years now. One of our nearby dealers carries them alongside Big Dog Choppers and Suzuki. Interesting line-up. It's not that what others think will make my decision or unduely influence it, but I am interested in reading others' opinions and thoughts to compare to my own. And I'm checking with a few different demographic groups. Let's face it: swingers tend to march to the beat of their own drum more than most folks! LOL I brought up the "cool factor" and image stuff in the context of what our own perceptions are of bike culture. I mentioned that we are cruiser types, not crotch-rocket people. I wear western style riding boots and a black leather jacket. But my jacket has armor inserts, all the modern upgrades, and even reflective piping on a traditional cruiser jacket frame. I wear a Bell military-style open face helmet and goggles. My wife rides a blacked out (Raven) 2011 Star Stryker. So we sort of blend the old w/the new a bit. I guess I'm hesitant about the style change. Thanks for the input and please keep it coming. You're helping me cogitate. LOL
Cogitate? I read somewhere that they've come up with a cure for that in the Netherlands.

New Swingers Club in Utah - Gauging interest in new club - If you're looking for a model, the Scarlet Ranch in Littleton, CO is a very nice facility. Large dance floor, playrooms downstairs, nice outdoor area. A fun place to visit.

Swinger Literature? - magazine articles, books, web articles... - As EdNBrenda said a very good book would be "The Lifestyle." It is a little bit dated but the book is research based and has a lot of interesting information from history to demographics. It is not a book to grab for raw excitement but a very good book for intellectual discussion. What makes it unique is the book seems very objective and was written by a non swinger doing his research as an observer of the lifestyle. For a bit more fun read Dave Barry's article on Swing Conventions - here is a bit of it (email me for all of it). "You don't think of swingers as being the type of people who hold conventions. By ''swingers,'' I mean couples who swing with other couples. By ''swing,'' I mean, ``you know exactly what I mean.''ut my point is that you (and by ''you,'' I mean ''I'') don't think of swingers as being big conventiongoers. You think of them as hanging out at private parties, or exclusive swinger nightclubs, or secluded motels, or the Clinton White House. You don't picture swingers walking around large convention hotels wearing name badges and attending seminars, like executives in the forklift industry." "Attire aside, most of the swingers seemed to be regular people. In fact, according to a story about the convention in The Herald, the two most-common professions for swingers are police officer and teacher. This stunned me, especially the teachers. I mean, remember when you were a kid, and you were shocked whenever you saw a teacher at, say, the supermarket, because you didn't think of teachers as having any existence outside of school, or even necessarily as being food-eating life forms? Well, imagine if you encountered your trigonometry teacher wearing a garment that left absolutely nothing to the imagination regarding the cosine OR the hypotenuse." "I think that, as parents, we should be concerned about the fact this type of individual is being employed in our schools. Maybe we should notify the police." "No, wait."
