If they are using it in a derogatory sense it may be because they are experiencing a certain level of self loathing because they are struggling to accept their own sexual nature or they may have peers and family that would do their best to destroy them were they to live so free as you are. I think that the anger that leads to name calling and judgment sometimes is a secondary emotion that people choose to embrace because the primary emotion is much more painful. They may want what you have but lack the confidence or courage to go find it for themselves and so the same people that call someone a slut in the derogatory sense far too often are the same people that go off and struggle with their own sexuality in dark places through lying, cheating, abuse and even darker acts while swimming in a sea of self loathing.

Curious where did you meet? - - I meet James on match.com. We hit it off and he is the love of my life. We have been married for six years and recently started into the lifestyle. I was reading the paper at lunch one day and saw this article about skinny dipping at Caliente Spa and Resort. I called him at lunch and I jokingly asked him if he wanted to go and he was all excited about it. James could not stop talking about it when I got home from work. We looked up their website and some the comments stated they had a bad time because they allow some sexual activity in the pool. Apparently some people went to the resort during a swinger convention and we thought that was cool. We started to talk about if there were other swingers there and we both got excited about the possibilities. We went to Caliente and we got used to the idea of being naked in public. We found out we enjoyed it. We did not meet another couple at Caliente therefore we searched for swinger websites and here we are. We met a few nice couples here and enjoy the lifestyle. I guess I should be careful how I joke with my husband.
Why are people not answering? - - I agree totally. The most aggravating are those who send an email expressing interest, you reply courteously and never hear from them again. Might as well reply to their email with " Take a long walk on a short pier", or "Kiss my ass" for all the good it does. And those who do it know who they are...even more disgusting are those who do answer emails, schedule a meet and then disappear, never to be seen or heard from again....or they do schedule a meeting and never show up....(how many cups of coffee is a realistic amount of time to wait? ) then you realize you have been "had again". Combining Lifestyle & Non-Lifestyle Friends - - Ah, good topic AC! We're happy to have met many people here that we now consider good close friends that we don't have to hide from when we see them at the mall while we're out with our kids. LoL!
