We have been in a quad relationship for 2 1/2 years with another couple we met as Swingers. There have been ups and downs, but we are all happier than we have been in our whole lives and we are all closer and more in love with our spouses than ever before. I think it works so well because each marriage has been 20 years plus and the other wife and I(I'm the Mrs) are Bi and in love as well. I would just caution you when it comes to introducing your children into this type of blended family. We live within walking distance of our BF & GF, but have chosen not to disclose the full details of our "friendship" to our children(ages 8 & 15) because we feel that it is hard enough to grow up nowadays under the best of circumstances and other people can be cruel and judgmental. I would not want my child to suffer in any way because of my lifestyle choice. I am not against blending families, it is just not something we are willing to risk. Swingers cars??? - What ya driving?? - We have a 1999 Chrysler LHS, A 2001 Ford Focus and our newest edition. A newer classic car and its a 1989 Toyota MR2 Phoenix. Bought it in almost perfect condition. We just started restoring it a bit though most of it is original to the car. We have put some fun details to it indeed. Why swingers are happier. - - They have booze. We got snookered on wine at the little Cajun restaurant in Pirates of the Carribean then Ms. Evil gave me head on the It's A Small World ride. Still get a chubby when I hear that song.
Hedonism, Tempations, Sandals, or others? - - Our vote is Desire RM (there are two Desire's in Cancun, Pearl and RM). The best part about Cancun is you can fly direct from SLC and it's a fairly short inexpensive flight so your vacation is at the resort and not in airports like you have to do to get to Hedo. We're members at RM and if you book any of the three resorts (Temptation, RM and Pearl all owned by the same group) book it through a member as you'll get some perks you wouldnt otherwise get
Pearl is a nicer, smaller resort with extremely large rooms, a massive pool and massive hot tub with a laid back vibe. Its a bit more expensive than RM and it tends to lean to a bit older crowd than RM. If you want to relax in a clothing optional resort (pretty much everyone is nude except at dinner and then the parties at night) this is your best choice.
RM is a party all day and all night, the rooms are really small unless you upgrade to a suite. The Pool is really small for the amount of people and the hot tub is tiny. Because it has twice as many rooms as Pearl you have more folks to meet and party with. The crowd is younger and stays up all night long. If you're looking to really party at a clothing optional (pretty much everyone is nude except at dinner and then the parties at night) resort this would be our choice.
Temptation is the least expensive of the three and it's a topless resort. The amount of swingers at this resort is the least of the three. You will find lots of folks just dipping their toes in the water here. It also allows single people to come so you'll find single guys at this resort where Desire is couples only. They've recently remodeled it and we've been told good and bad since the remodel. If you're not a swinger or just testing the water this is the resort we'd go to.

The Vent part II - Secrecy - Hi all, me again here with another vent.
As we have turned into full blown swingers, our "Vanilla" friends are becoming an issue.
We usually swing out of town for two reasons, first there are very few swingers in our area, and I'm having my doubts that the ones that are here are who they say they are, and second, (as a friend once said) we are in a small town and can't "shit in our own nest."
The problem is we are very fun people to be around (not bragging,) and when we go out of town our Vanilla friends want to come with us.
This leads into the problem, if we take our friends out of town with us we can't find someone to play with, or we have to "out" ourselves to them which leads to SO many other issues that I don't even want to contemplate what could happen then. (Basically all of them would not be open and understanding.)
So we are planning a trip to Mesquite, for all you Northerners that's like Wendover, and some of our Vanillas want to come, but we want to "hook up" while we are there, and if we don't "hook up" we could still have alot of fun with our regular friends.
So do we risk putting a wedge in our friendships by making up stories and lies, or do we give up on getting some? its like a double edged sword, (we would love to have more swinger friends, but I will refer you to above statement about lack of real swingers in our area.)
In many ways I would love to just announce at the next bash that we are swingers now and they should just deal with it, but we all know that's NOT a good idea.
Any thoughts or ideas? I guess we just have to pick one huh?
