Small Town - Speak Out - That\'s a shame. I have pictures posted, but they are in my private folder. This way I can (to a degree) manage who has access. My employement is in a field where if the wrong person ever found out I could lose my job. Richmond being a small city like it is; word of mouth and my lifestyle would never be a secret again. I\'m sure there are lots of other people that feel the same way. Heck just look at the lastest episode of Nip/Tuck where someone making a point informed a commanding officer of a bisexual within their ranks. I use to have a private webpage meaning it was hidden so you could not find it by chance. I posted the link in a few lifestyle clubs and yes someone at my work did find out. Luckly they were just giving an FYI and warning me that a few other non-swingers knew that worked in my office. The person did not include their name so they also were afraid of fall out. Luckly nothing came of it, but I do consider myself lucky and have been more careful since. It would be nice if none of us had anything to hide from, but sadly it\'s not the world we live in.

Have you noticed? - Admin. doesn't give a SHIT!!! - Hmmm, yeah I think everyone has noticed but I'm not really sure that it makes all that much difference at this point. Swingsites are slowly dying and will, in the not too distant future, cease to exist...at least in the form that they're in now. The swingsite that was basically the model for Swingular (And ADMIN got kicked off of when he started Swingular.-LOL) is more or less a ghost town at this point. We're lifetime members of both and the other one used to have a HUGE, vibrant, swinger community that was pretty much nationwide and now there are just a handful of people who actively participate in the forums and other features on the webpage. Swingular won't be too far behind (What is Utah, like 5 or 10 years behind the rest of the country? LOL) and even Kasidie will eventually succumb to the pressure of other types of media and even easier ways to connect with others. Additionally, many younger "swingers" are simply bypassing swinging altogether and just hooking up with other people without giving it a label or having any kind of formal community. *shrug* In the meantime, Swingular has become more and more just a venue for people to peddle their services and/or place redundant "classified ads" seeking what they've already stated they're seeking in their profiles. LOL

Question - do you talk about other swingers? - I have found that when I meet someone new for drinks or dinner etc, that a good place to start the conversation is about the site on which you met and some of your experiences there. My question is, How much, or do you talk about other members or swingers in your area. Sometimes it's a very small world, lol especially if you're meeting someone local.Usually it seems hard to avoid if you or they have comments or certifications on your profiles, sometimes someone will ask what you thought of "so&so" I usually try to be discreet and not mention any names if I'm discussing some experience I've had. But then again there have been times when other people have mentioned names of swingers who were really hot, or maybe even some that were not "so fun" to meet lol and it has been helpful to me. So what do you think?

Swingers dying out? - Is the utah swinger community dying or becoming to needy? - We are very interested in meeting new couples. I had two friend requests just this past week and I replied with my cell number, asking to get together for drinks or dinner but they haven't contacted me. KEY PARTY - - We 'get' and actually applaud the effort to find some way to avoid the often typical cliquey swing party but still have to wonder how feasible it might be in practice. The problem, as we see it, is that swinging is an atypical social construct in that it is driven almost entirely by superficial factors such as relative attractiveness (age, height, weight, body type, breast size, cock size, and any number of other physical characteristics). When we first started swinging, back around the time Cleopatra was busy inventing hookup culture and the term unicorn, we quickly discovered that swinging wasn't the sexual egalitarian utopia that many people believe it should be. Indeed, there was actually a broad, distinct caste system, if you will, that governed who hooked up with who and who was relegated to the sidelines at least in certain circles or situations. This might be best illustrated by one of our very early encounters with two couples at a swinger meet and greet back east. One of the couples was loudly expounding on their utter disgust with the concept that people in the lifestyle seem to be so "stuck-up" (their term) and were too concerned about "looks" and other superficial characteristics. They went on and on for probably close to an hour before they, I guess, ran out of steam and decided to leave. After they were gone, the other couple at the table laughed a little bit and gave us some fairly sage advice. They told us that we would likely meet three general kinds of swingers in the lifestyle. They said that the first couple was the "Hey, you're swingers and we're swingers so let's fuck!" kind of people and that on the opposite end of the spectrum were the extremely picky, "beautiful people" who spent more time "watching the door" at a swing function always looking for the BBD (bigger, better, deal) and who more often than not left without actually hooking-up/playing. They said that the relatively smaller group in between those two extremes were those who had a little more realistic attitude and who were, while still giving a good amount of weight to initial physical attraction, actually looking a little more FOR reasons to play rather than for reasons NOT to play. They told us to decide for ourselves what kind of swingers we wanted to be and go from there but to never fuck someone that we really didn't want to fuck. *shrug* As to your idea of making it more of a "speed swinging" type of party, I'm almost certain that there are at least a few people here on Swingular who have talked about, if not hosted, just such a party. It might be interesting if they or any of their guests chimed in as to how it turned out.
