12 years ago Kelly and I went to our first swingers party. I was nervous and it was made worse by seeing my mothers boyfirend there with his wife. No my mother did not know he was married. Am I going to go tell on this asshole..... no. He told on me!! My mother came alll the way into to Salt Lake (which she has only done 3 times in the 13 years I have lived in Salt Lake) to give me a rash of shit over it and explained that was the reason her and my dad got a divorce (I assume he wanted to do it and she didn't). She said the Kelly and I were going to end up the same way. I of course told her it was a one time thing and we didn't plan on ever going to another party. I know how very small this world is, and it is very small, I like to think that I have kept it secret enough that the only people who knew were fellow swingers and the ones I have elected to tell.
Do my friends know?
Well I have a good friend who I have told yes.... but the operative word being GOOD friend... and her and her hubby have decided to give it a try. See if they like the extra spice. In a snese if I tell someone I end up promoting the lifestyle.... but it is very few that I have told.

Psychology Research Results - This is a follow up to my earlier post. This is what I found because some showed interest. - I would like to thank everyone who did the research survey for me. I hypothesized that non swingers would view us as more capable of deviant behavior like using drugs and alcohol in large amounts. I was correct. I hypothesized that swingers were more likely to use positive methods to handle relationship conflicts and I was also correct. I also hypothesized that swingers would have high openness to new things and high extroversion. We did find that swingers were more open to new experience but there wasn't enough on the other. Something we found interesting was that non swingers used more aggressive methods to solve relationship conflicts and they had high sexual depression. My teacher is talking about possibly working on this to get it published. I am beyond happy that I can show us in a better and more recent light. Thank you all for your help. New Swingers Club in Utah - Gauging interest in new club - The swingers clubs we've gone to were in Phoenix before they closed them (showing our age here) or favorite was Guys and Dolls. They had a stripper pole, free pool tables, a shower area and a large hot tub. We weren't a fan of the hot tub but they keep it free of floating nasties. We went to Club Chameleon when guys and dolls was closed. They had multiple themed rooms (i.e. the dungeon with multiple bdsm accoutrement including a rack, the fish tank which was a room that was surrounded by clear fiberglass, and a large orgy room with a padded floor a lot of couches and porn playing through a projector) they also had multiple stripper pole a dance floor and free pool tables. The entrance was 35/couple, 25/single female and 65/single male. Idk why they got closed but the rumor for Guys and Dolls was that there were prostitutes that paid to enter and then propositioned sex for money. Finding a swingers club in state would be great. Being that we live in Box Elder County we'd probably be able to visit only every couple of months.
Swinging/Polyamory - I just wanted to hear other people thoughs on this....... - That would be a general definition. However, sometimes the devil is in the details. With that definition, poly couples would be termed in the same group as swingers under the banner of libertine. So would soft swingers, etc, etc. We feel the definitions are kinda important because it causes awkwardness and waste of time if we don't know what we are getting into. For instance, if we talk and you are soft swingers, we now know we won't get anywhere fast because we are not into soft swinging. You, OTOH, will not have the awkward moment where we get together and at the last minute, we do something you don't like. IMO the labels help us filter out what we want from what we don't want.
