Good luck![/quote] That's why I'm wondering if anyone knows anythng about that job. Clearance levels are assigned to different jobs, whether someone's military or a civilian. Although it isn't too unusual for somone to start with one clearance then have to get a higher one if their job or resonsibiities change. Like they start out as a worker bee on something with just a Secret but some years later become a supervisor over others doing that same job, and have to have a Top Secret. Or like when I reenlisted in the Army in '79, all I needed for my job was a Secret. Then they later sent me to a school in Monterey for a different kind of job, and I needed a Top Secret with a Sensitive Compartmented Information endorsement, so they did one of those Special Background Investigations.

Swingers Next Door! - ABC news story on Swinging! - I've heard that the A&E show is just what I thought it'd be, the young & beautiful and tension emanating from the vanilla neighbors. Of the 3 things I expected, so far, apparently, there hasn't been a marriage destroyed by swinging, but I'd be surprised if that doesn't turn out to be part of this "reality" show. But after just 1 episode, it looks like I'm 2 out of 3. I'm sorry, but I really think the show is an attempt, probably successful, to exploit something most people would find edgy and fascinating. I'd love to see a REAL reality show about swingers, but somehow I doubt that will ever happen because it wouldn't fit the "successful TV show" formula well enough. The closest I know of to an honest portrayal of things society thinks are taboo was that "real sex" series. And look how long that lasted. Certainly not long enough to have covered the many things that would have fit into the show's premise. If it was still running now there'd still be lots of things out there for new episodes. My suspicion is that while the title might have been, the actual shows just weren't sensational enough for it to be a long term success. ~ Terry

Are we really as judgmental as vanilla people? - - Yes, many in the lifestyle are as judgmental as those outside. I am 15 pounds overweight but to some I am as broad as a battleship. What's more, after 34 years of marriage, 24 of which were in the lifestyle, my wife died. All of a sudden I was persona non grata at the club we attended because single males were not allowed. I had not changed, only my marital status. I have been pilloried and shunned because of being lumped with the FEW young single guys who don't have a clue. Now I have 3 strikes: I'm old, I'm slightly overweight, and single. I've learned these last 9 years that swingers can be just as cruel, predjudiced and uncaring as other people. ksl - did you watch?? - I honestly don't think there should be too much concern that anyone is going to start 'searching' the internet to find out if they know anyone on sites like these. They are already 'disgusted' as it is and i'm sure they won't chance having a site like this 'appear' on their computer. I honestly think they made their opinions and judgements briefly as they watch the segment last night but it wasn't something that was powerful enough to cause much of a stir. After checking my access logs for the site as well as my placement ads on the search engines designed just for the state of Utah when someone does a search on the keyword 'swingers,' there was not even a substantial jump in numbers. There was actually less people who searched for that keyword as well as 'utah swingers' than any normal monday night or tuesday morning. I honestly believe most people have already forgotten about it. But for those of you who want to take that extra precaution, it's totally understandable.
