Rules - - This is not merely an issue on Swingular, but is a mind-set that we have encountered on every site we have belonged to, in every geographical area, and at many parties. Seemingly the single ladies get the accolades, while their counterparts, the dreaded single males, get the proverbial foot in the ass. Is it fair? We don't think so. However, it is what it is, and not likely to change soon. I'm sure that everyone has an opinion as to why this occurs (opinion/assholes being synonymous; everyone has one). Here are a few of our thoughts.... Perhaps one could say that this disparity is due to the fact that most couples are searching for females...either single or part of a couple? This is only PARTIALLY true as there are many swingers that are not looking for singles of either gender. Many couples are, in fact, only looking only for other couples to share friendship and intimacy. Perhaps the old adage "Men are a dime a dozen", comes into play? Well...one has to admit that yes...us guys really are rather numerous. Regardless of being within the Lifestyle or out....you can always find a guy, willing to hump your wife. Go to any vanilla event to find that out. Many might say that all single guys are pushy ass-wads, that lack the intelligence, class, or sophistication to show respect and patience towards a couple that's willing to share intimacy with them. Again, not totally true. We have met many polite, kind and respectful single men. We have also had numerous run-ins with females...both single and married, that have been just as crass, obnoxious and presumptuous as the most obnoxious single guy anyone could imagine. We like to call them the Bi-Nazi's: you know...the "it's-all-about-the-women" types. This brings me to yet another mentionable. There is also an unspoken "assumption", that just because any individual of the female persuasion is involved in swinging...she's automatically "bi-curious", "bi-sexual", or "just doesn't know that she wants to be yet". The obvious outcome of this mind-set is that unwanted advances, groping and attention comes towards the females/couples that are not looking for this type of interaction. Ironically, the same advances made by a male, married or single...would be dealt with severely in most cases. However...with the ladies...many consider it "appropriate", if not expected. Do you see the double-standard? Somewhat hypocritical I would say. Many get so caught up in stereotyping, and outcomes having to look a certain way, they are quick to assign social roles to various members of our Lifestyle. In the process, they forget objectiveness, compassion, and open-mindedness. Isn't that what we, as swingers pride ourselves on, "open-mindedness", and being "out of the box"? Ok..since sweeping swinger social changes (wow, say that fast three times...haha), are not likely to happen...Siren and I elect to manage what we know we can, and that's ourselves. We never expect anyone or anything to be anything but themselves, and let their actions and behaviors be the ultimate factor as to how we interact with them, regardless of marital status, gender, or seeking preferences. Wishbones - - I think this is a great idea! We once went to a local bar for a gathering of swingers (not a swingers bar), but didn't know the regular couples from the swingers and spent all night not approaching anyone and not being approached. Single Male Market - Need feedback on a feature idea. - So maybe the couples and females who use this Male Market, need to register as do the males, and put out a new pic every 3 months too..... Not sure about that aspect of the proposal as I do know a lot of people in my area and do not really want my face out there for anyone who signs up to see. Perhaps that Idea of allowing us to manage the photos like we do now to reveal to specific people. Wait, register males, couples and females, to register or be a member of the male market, control pictures as to who sees them, Hey that sounds like what swingular already is..... There are way too many who rather than allow or accommodate single males, that are REAL and participate and mind the rules of etiquette, set by the couples, who are doing everything to exclude them. I am a great guy, and I know several others here from meet and greets, who really fit well with couples or single ladies. I have had some great and regular fun with members of this site. I admit there are several really jackass guys on here looking for God who knows what, but there has to be a better way, than to segregate the "single guys" from the rest of the heard. Some casual meetups I have had on here, were kind of sketchy. Going in, I had some of the same concerns about the couple that many of you say you have about the single males on here. Turned out it was great fun for all involved. I have had some really rotten couples here who play the same games that are complained about on single men. We are all adults on here (supposedly) and should be able to be aware and savvy on here that we don't have to have mother or father always looking to protect us from every little peanut, fall or stumble by writing really hard software, then get all kinds of complaints about their work that does not match each and every special member. This lifestyle is not an exclusive right for the "Elite talk a lot, do nothing Swingers" who seem to make all the rules. There seems to at times to be a lack of civility. This site has served me well for a lot of years. I just don't know about the reason for all of this new proposal, what is really behind it, and why now. Sensitivities - a paradox? - I'm actually just as opinionated in life. The only thing that is different here is that I am surrounded by tons of thin-skinned and/or "conservative" swingers, where as in real life, if you will, I don't associate or surround myself with them. I would like to say that there are no "short comings" in my life, I just call bullshit when I see it and there is a ton of thin skinned whiners that I've learned to avoid for the sake of the community and my sanity, as I cannot stand having the same repetitive arguments with the same moronic crowd. In fact I would love to see that study of yours, shoot it to me in an email or post it here for all of us. I have no issues telling someone to fuck off in life either. Vegas Baby! - Clubs - Purrfect Parties is definitely a Swingers group. We have met so many people in Vegas and that are just passing through from other cities that are in the lifestyle. The get together at the Hard Rock is just to break the ice but you can end up leaving with your wildest fantasy. We live here in Vegas and that has been the best place to meet people. We are on Lifestyle Lounge since Swingular doesn't seem to be big in Vegas. We have also done the Green Door but I wasn't that impressed and there were a lot of single. creepy males. I don't mind single males but not lurky ones. :D

Thought on "E" - - We firmly believe that everyone should have the right to choose. People should be able to do whatever they want with their own lives. It's funny because people do look down on swinging or swingers yet we all meet here, exercising our right to choose our own lifestyle. Why should it be different with anything else ???? Swinging irresponsibly is very dangerous and can lead to stds that can ultimately end in death. Its quite possible that something may occur even if you thought you were playing it safe.
