Utah Meetup group - - So ive been asked to post my thoughts to get people more active and going to meet and greets. This is somewhat of a copy/paste of what ive said before:
Events that have requirements or have an adventurous nature get alot of responses and lots of people going.
One thing on these meet and greets is the incredibly shy new comers. The hard thing is getting people actually meeting and separating the cliques. So one thing ive thought about is having a meet up where everyone is required to introduce themselves to at least 10 new people before the meet and greet concludes. The greeting must include your name, age, years in the LS, what your looking for(another couple, single(m/f)), a fantasy, etc just stuff like that.
For some telling a new couple you enjoy watching your spouse get fucked by someone you just met might seem awkward, but its less so when its instructed as part of a greeting.
Plus Reminding everyone your all SWINGERS, this is the point anyways lol. Your not meeting a random person, your meeting a swinger whose there with intentions the same as you!
Even like adding a fun after party thing like a Meet and Great Score that people get to post on the forums after the M&G which everyone gets to see just how involved people were and to improve it for the next one. Safe Sex - How do you (or don't you) protect yourselves? - Condoms? Yes, please.
However...I can think of quite a few reasons why some people are opposed to using them; Intimacy, sensation, alergies, penis size, etc. None of them seems compelling enough to me to make an acception though...
As \"swingers\" there is very very very little possibility that we (despite the fact that mRs. Luvbugs is \"fixed\") would allow anyone to be with either of us unless there was protection involved. In 12 years we have seen unwanted pregnancys, a paternity suit that became very nasty, STD\'s passed from one couple to another, and complete dishonesty about the sexual history of the person in question. What cracks us both up is when we get these letters that say \"Vasectomy SAFE.\" Get the f**k outta here! Are you serious? Safe from what? Pregnancy? A condom will do that nicely buddy, and as long as you arent trying to fuck a hole in someones back, they shouldnt really break all that often.
Everyone believes that they have led a good life and have avoided the contraction of an STD. I would like to be able to accept that fact in good faith, but there is no way I can allow myself to think in such a naiive manner. There are even those in this world who would KNOWINGLY pass a deadly disease such as AIDS to another person out of pure spite that they themselves have contracted it. There are risks with oral sex as well, but the probability of contracting anything serious is atleast somewhat less then through vaginal intercourse.
I just cant see it. It amazes me. A person would have to be plain stupid to take that risk.

Have you ever.... - - Not sure if I'd call it loving controversy as much just goofing off a little and knowing that things (even in swinging) are rarely black and white. We've been doing this a LONG time and have seen a LOT more scenarios, good AND bad, than most people here. People who haven't been in the scene for that long or had that many experiences often see things thru their swinger goggles and maybe don't really think of the potential down side. We've seen many swinger marriages bite the dust. Would you really like to be the straw that broke the camel's back in helping a vanilla marriage implode? Why stalk the unsuspecting when you know the potential for drama or worse is MUCH higher? Unless you like drama, which we definitely DON'T. Hey, no judgments. Some people actually love drama despite what they say in their profile. If you're really into skiing or motorcycling or hang gliding do you enjoy doing it with total noobs who have the potential to crash spectacularly? But, hey, do whatever floats yer boat.
