Swingers clubs in Amsterdam - - The best club I've been to in that area is called Fun 4 Two. It's huge. The facilities are upscale European, hidden inside a rural setting. The hot tub seats about 20 comfortably & is comparable to genuine Roman baths that I've seen in Italy. The food is pretty good. The play rooms are varied & numerous. The place is well kept. Parking is safe. The neighborhood is good. The overnight accommodations are limited in number, but excellent. The clientele was about 50% Dutch, 20% German, 10% French & 20% other. I was probably the only American there. English was spoken by about 80% of the people there, when needed. I think that the drive was roughly 45 minutes from downtown Amsterdam if you don't get lost. Bring a GPS if you go. They have different themes on different weekends & I think that new applicants are only allowed 3 of the 4 weekends per month. Check their website for details. The first time I was there, the place was an absolute blast. The last time, it had become a little more edgy, but was still very good. The owners/hosts (Laurens & Renika) are good people. Deal with them directly whenever possible. Try to arrive properly dressed. If you need to buy things from their in-house shop to make dress code at the last minute, it can get expensive. I also went to another club in Amsterdam proper that was said to be a swing club. It was actually a brothel inside a bar. I didn't stay to play. There is a club there called Fatima Morgana that sounded promising, but I have not had time to try it yet. Another place called Kasteel Waterloo was recommended to me & sounds very promising, but I have not been there yet either. That place is probably a much longer drive. In Amsterdam, there are at least 3 classifications of sex clubs. The actual swingers clubs are called parren clubs. If you need help finding accommodations, transportation, or any of the other usual types of travel assistance, you can go to the tourist office, marked VVV, but pronounced "fee fee fee". One is located in Schipol airport. Another is located at the train station in Amsterdam. The people there were very helpful & found us very good deals on everything that we needed. Swinging/Polyamory - I just wanted to hear other people thoughs on this....... - That would be a general definition. However, sometimes the devil is in the details. With that definition, poly couples would be termed in the same group as swingers under the banner of libertine. So would soft swingers, etc, etc. We feel the definitions are kinda important because it causes awkwardness and waste of time if we don't know what we are getting into. For instance, if we talk and you are soft swingers, we now know we won't get anywhere fast because we are not into soft swinging. Discussion brought about by the marajuana topic - - **YAWN** I'm with Highway on this one...there are plenty of ways to kill oneself. There are plenty of things the general "law-abiding" public does in their cars and homes that put themselves and others in danger. Have to wonder which demographic group will be next after having ridded our communities of the dregs of society by outlawing tobacco and alcohol (the insidious pot-heads have already been dealt with after all)? How about the fat people? They live an unhealthy lifestyle, and certainly provide a burden on society with obesity related issues. Attribute the rise in Type 2 Diabetes, heart disease, increase in cancer (yes cancer...in individuals who have never smoked and have otherwise lived a good "christian" life) to the convenient and unhealthy lifestyles full of decadence and complacency we lead (Hmm...I know there was a reference to the Roman empire somewhere earlier in this thread). Once the fat peeps are incarcerated...who shall shoulder the burden and blame for many of the ills in our society? There are always going to be special interest target groups in our society, whether they be pot-heads, crack-heads, fatties, adrenaline junkies, speeders, cell-phoning-while-driving idiots, swingers...well you get the point. We may forget to look at WHY things are made illegal, maybe that's on purpose...because when you think about it...the reasons for WHY they are do not make sense. It couldn't be merely for personal safety and health reasons...because if that were the case, then certainly excessive food, and cell phones would be made illegal. I'm with TR on the too much government intrusion scene; We are the so-called "most free" country on the planet...yet we have the most laws and government intrusion and incarcerated percentage of the population. San Diego Visit? - Any swing clubs people can recommend in San Diego? - IT has been a while since i posted on here or was active on the site but I am heading to San Diego for a week or so and checking to see if anyone knows of a good place to go to for swinging activities in San Diego area?
