Jealousy - Coping tips for the beginning swinger - I've read the articles on the site about jealousy, but I am hoping that some of you more seasoned swingers can give me some advice. Remembering back to when you first started, were there any times that jealousy and hurt crept up, despite your willingness to let your partner play? How did you deal with this (obviously besides talking it through with your partner?) (Not a lot going on at the resorts.. one or two basic activities per day is all). - Many of the excursions are takeovers as well, so you can be naked if you want during adventure-time. (Many of the resorts are topless-only -- and if you want to do "excursions" you're mixed with the vanillas, and all vanilla rules apply). - You can be completely naked on most parts of the ship, if you want. - Dedicated play-rooms. Lots of them. (Many resorts only have one smaller area dedicated for play... which makes sense... generally only 200 to 250 people at a resort at any given time). - MASSIVE crowd. 3,500+ people on a single ship. You'll never possibly get to know even 5% of the people on the ship. (In other words, you have a huge pool of people to choose from to find people you like!!). - Better / more types of food to choose from. Better alcohol choices. - Adult-themed vegas-quality shows every single night... followed by swinger-oriented after-parties. - Higher-end facilities and nicer overall atmosphere. (Cruise-ships are equivalent to a 4-star or even 5-star hotel. swingers resorts are usually 2-star..... 3-star at best.. most are pretty worn down and kind of gross). -----[ Resort Pros:]-------- - Smaller, more intimate setting. You'll get to know everyone at the resort at the time you are there. - Much more laid back. If all you want to do is lounge by the pool all day, every day, it's for you. - You can leave the resort any time you want and venture into town. - Typically you have better access to phones, internet, TV, etc. - Rooms at the resorts are bigger (although they are NOT nicer). If you look at the activity list on a typical resort, you'll find there's only one thing going on at any given time. Most people just lounge by the pool all day, every day -- and then they go to club-style events at night. The cruise is totally different... At any given time, you can choose from 3 or 4 different activities (or just lounge by the pool)... and you can still do the club-style stuff at night IF YOU WANT.. (but there's usually other alternatives to pick from). Honestly, the ONLY major downside to the cruise compared to the resorts is that they don't do the swingers takeover cruises very often. (Once or twice a year is all you've got to pick from). So if you're picky about WHEN you go... the resort is probably your only bet. If you're flexible, don't give it a second thought... the swingers cruise is where it's at. =)

This lifestyle - What are we really? - Great thought out comments to this posting ThoughtGarden, and we have to agree with you 100%. We love (but don't ever think that would be romantically- LOL), and miss you guys. A good topic to discuss. As for us, we count ourselves as "Fantasyers" that have things we want to experience and do so with the people that we enjoy (and or love) spending time with. Swingers (hard core) may be at one end on one leg, and Poly may be at the other end and on another leg, but we like being at the "Y" and in the middle, whatever that is labeled. :p

Giving Up ?? - When do you give up ? - We go on a case by case basis...The biggest determining factor is if they set up and cancel last minute or if they cannot set up. Also a large part is how attracted to them we are...the more atttracted, the more patience...BUT if they stop returning emails, phone calls, etc...We write them off as either fantasy swingers or those who do not know what they want.

What a difference a Gay makes... - Our first foray into the swinging public, not what I expected. - Reading all the posts here and looking at the photos on the profiles make us wish we were in utah.You truely are a lovely lot. The couple in Spring Hill look good too...And Texas.......stc We went to a swingers club once..ONCE!!We found it rather cliquy. We didn't know what to do there,people were wandering off to rooms,we didn't know if we should follow,wait to be invited or whatever. My wife got more interest than I did(from single guys usually),and being basically shy,I just stood back.Everyone seemed to be chatting and ignoring us. We travelled quite a way to get to this place,and we won't go again that's for sure. It seems to us that house parties are the best way to go to meet new people.we tried those with some success. We once went to a lesbian bar just to see what it was like.I tell you,they were really friendly.People chatted to us,wanted to know where I was from because of the accent.We didn't go to pick anyone up(fat chance for me,they were all gay girls..LOL)But had a great time.
