Hot discussion - Hook up section? - Fascinating topic. I never really noticed until someone said something but now it all makes sense. As the male half of a couple, I created this profile to troll forums, gather info and meet friends... It never occurred to me that posting as a "single guy" would have such an impact. I can see now why.
To piggy back on what was already said, I believe the "hook up culture" is in fact very real and has given a lot of single males the false belief that EVERY site is a hook up site, and there is some level of security hooking up with a married woman instead of a lonely single lady (they're not looking for a commitment, just sex). That said, there are a lot of male swingers (like Joe) who understand the lifestyle without having a current female partner.
Pineapple or upside down pineapple - - Pineapples are definitely a swinger thing! I think it’s somewhat locational where different symbols mean different things. I was in a group for swingers out in like mid-west, they all knew the pineapple was a sign for swinging. Especially if the wife wore like a pineapple anklet or jewelry. Vegas clubs / club attire - - We lived in Vegas for about three years, the perfect parties we're not all that great, we found a few friends and would either go to the swingers circle or whispers... the red rooster and green door were really over rated unless you there during a large weekend EDC or CES convention. Finding Connections - Do the majority of swingers wait to be approached? - The connections we have mainly made have been though partys we have found here. Other than that it's hit and miss with searching and sending messages and friend request, (please at least send a message if you are sending a friend request).
That has been our limited experience. We would love to know how to make more connections, if anyone has any suggestions.
