Wannabes and net fakes - Will the real lifestyle members please stand up - Plenty of "real" swingers get labeled as fakes every day. Plenty of fake swingers, get mistaken for "real" ones just as often.
That phrase should not be subjective to whether or not someone stood you up, faked a profile, or used old pics, just to name a few negative things. Those people are simply assholes. Even if they fancy themselves swingers.
It has happened to us on many occassions that someone has claimed to have seen one of her pics either in a mag, or on a paid porn site, which automatically makes us "fakes". We have been labled as "fakes" based on the fact that we choose not to (primarily) meet with couples, thus we must be fake. We have been accused of being "fakes" because we are selective about with whom we meet, and even more selective about with whom we play. NO fakes here. Just smart people who know what we are looking for.
People who have an axe to grind are typically the first to call out "fakes" on sites like these. I may not have the benefit of 25 years of swinging to support that supposition, but it is what is obvious to me.
I am sure that there are a great many "fakes" out there who are only interested in wasting other peoples time with their bullshit, and believe me when I say that we have met one or two over the years...but I wouldnt automatically brand someone a "fake" based on the fact that they didnt show up for a meeting. (That is not to say that we would excuse that behavior, because if someone stands us up they had better be dead or we are done with them for good.) But who knows..maybe they just got cold feet? Maybe they really DID get a flat tire on the way to see you....shit happens.

How do you spot a Swinger..?! - tell tell signs of the lifestyle - Just look for the couples with Swingers tattoed on their forheads like the thing that Teelc(sp) from Stargate SG1... Otherwise I think that the walk up and ask if they know where such and such is.... A local club. If they know then strike up a conversation and ask what they think about the club... How many times have they been there, etc.... Or have you ever been to Las Vegas and have you head of the Red Rooster or been there? WHat do you think about that?..No biggy and if you zero on the local club... good chance that they are vanilla.

Age - New to the swingers community - is age a factor in how a couple is viewed? - Wow! It's adorable to read the comments of those 20 through 40's. We remember those years. There are times that memories of incontrolable thrusts and unconscious passion give pause, but experience... though overstated is under-rated. Though there are some "young'uns" out there that appreciate the gentility of exploring "water flow naturally to seek its level, impulses more often drive than draw." A young, (or young in experience) lady sometimes welcomes a partner who has gotten past the self-serving impulses of youth. As well, a young buck who seeks to find his stride can benefit from being unthreatened by the challenges of unknown expectations and often finds the same growth. The true deciding factor is, "are you into the trip, or just obsessed with reaching a destination you've never been to? Psychology Research Results - This is a follow up to my earlier post. This is what I found because some showed interest. - I would like to thank everyone who did the research survey for me. I hypothesized that non swingers would view us as more capable of deviant behavior like using drugs and alcohol in large amounts. I was correct. I hypothesized that swingers were more likely to use positive methods to handle relationship conflicts and I was also correct. I also hypothesized that swingers would have high openness to new things and high extroversion. We did find that swingers were more open to new experience but there wasn't enough on the other. Something we found interesting was that non swingers used more aggressive methods to solve relationship conflicts and they had high sexual depression. My teacher is talking about possibly working on this to get it published. I am beyond happy that I can show us in a better and more recent light. Thank you all for your help. Lifestyle vacations - Best place for a lifestyle vacation? - We have only been on one. We went on the Bliss swingers cruise in March and it will be real hard to take any other type of cruise again unless we are with family. It was clean and classy. We generally go to a mall that is big enough to support a food court... and one that both parties know or close to one of the parties....Hey if we haven't been there before there's that many new stores for her to explore if there is a no show..
