Disabled Swingers - - I am the male half of a couple. I am also disabled and in a wheelchair. Add to that I am new to the lifestyle. Shelley my other half is a gorgeous BBW (on the smaller side of BBW). She was very active in the lifestyle prior to us getting married. We have had a couple threesomes in the beginning of our relationship. Now after 12 years of marriage I am finally secure enough in our relationship for us to become active again. Yet we are finding it very difficult to actually find folks to play with and or parties that are accessible to my chair. We have had folks online come right out and tell us that if it was not for me being in a wheelchair they would have no problem meeting us. Heck we even had one couple come right out and ask me if Shelley would be willing to play solo cause they did not want to have anything to do with someone in a wheelchair (not from here). So I guess what my question is, is there actually active disabled folks in the lifestyle and are there non disabled couples willing to get together with those of us who might have physical challenges. Or am I just going to be constantly rolling uphill? Jeff

Mixed Lifestyle Parties - -

Although for those that would be concerned about being outed in the LS, what is the overall concern? I mean if I'm considering this type of party it's not like the bishop or pastor is going to be there, and the likelihood of being seen elsewhere would be slim to none. None the less they are valid concerns and now I have to decide what to do.
We are only speaking for ourselves here ... Discretion - we would prefer to choose to whom we reveal our lifestyle actives with. Even on lifestyle sites and other social media sites, we enjoy a level of anonymity. We control what and to whom we reveal more identifying information (face pictures, names, contact info, etc). Yes, there is a risk in going to lifestyle events and parties. However, most people in the lifestyle believe in mutual assured destruction. If someone tells their vanilla friends, "Hey, I saw Dave & Danna at a swinger party.", their vanilla friends would probably ask, "What were you doing at a swinger party?" In our time in the lifestyle, we have run into three co-workers, two high school classmates, the mother of a child on our child's athletic team, and a woman who we shared a daily commute with on public transportation. So yes, there is a good chance people may run into others from their vanilla lives in the lifefstyle at some time or another.
We agree with most of these comments. Vanilla people have absolutely no reason to keep LS peoples secrets, and I think they’re more likely to gossip about something relatively foreign to them (like a LS party they attended). I’ve had two vanilla coworkers in my office talk about going to The NYer to people watch swingers, and that just made me cringe. I would not trust a vanilla person to keep our secret, and even less if we saw them at a “mixed” type of party where any conclusions could be made. We would rather keep our vanilla friends and our LS friends completely separate for privacy’s sake. No matter how hard vanillas try, most of them cannot wrap their heads around our LS, and just avoiding vanillas while pursuing our LS hobbies is our safest bet. Being fully open to the world about being a swinger is absolutely not something we want in a couples friendship either. We would avoid that as much as we would avoid any chance of vanillas finding out about us. Guilt by association could be just as harmful to our personal and professional lives. As was said above though… your party, your friends. Just make sure all your LS friends are aware of what you’re doing. Some may not care, some could absolutely care if vanillas were there.

Are swingers moral? - Who determines what morals are? -
I was raised to believe that morality and the law are the same thing. People, in LDS society anyway, seem to profess that being moral is obeying the law and that is what they teach their children in church. I have always assumed that other religions do the same thing. But what seems to be said here is that swingers feel that the law has little or nothing to do with morality and that we are perfectly willing to break the law for our own pleasure. Is that what we are saying here.
Depends on what you are considering law. I think even in the LDS tradition there is an understand that God's law is higher than man's or governments law. A large part of the controversy of LDS polygamy comes because it was in disobedience to the law. Where church leaders believed that following their religious conviction was more important then what U.S. law said. But if you are taking some overarching moral law, like Kants categorical imperative then maybe. I think most swingers have the same ends in mind and no is being used as a means for an end. However that being said, I think most swingers seem to follow a more utilitarian guideline that pleasure is good and what promotes pleasure is good.

swingin - thought this site was a swingers site - hey dumb shit waaaaaa you are the one rebelling.you are the one that started whining about thread topics that YOU do not like.in your opionion no one else should like them either.if you will check the forum site again, that is where you went to start this thread, there is a section titled just talk and if you open your eyes a little more under that heading it says"non lifestyle related topics...".it does not say non lifestyle related topics that every one agrees to.as to name calling i do not believe i was calling anyone a name, but you are slinging quite a few around.seems to me i defended you on the spelling issue.but truth be known either you did not go to school at all or didn't listen when you were there because a fucking complete moron spells a whole lot better than you.now like every one has said if you do not like a threads topic then don't read it.it is just like television if you do not like what is on(now i am only assuming this)you change the channel.and if you think i am calling you a moron let me assure you i am not as a moron can spell better. Phil

camping - - one thing i wish we had in florida swingers camp grounds because we love camping.

LDS Swingers Survey - Will any former/active LDS swingers take my survey? - There is no option for if one of you is still on the records and one of you has been removed so that question is hard to answer. It also doesn't define what is considered sex so for soft swappers like us we don't know how to answer how many folks we have had sex with since marriage. We assumed it meant the "Clinton" definition and answered accordingly.

Swinging clubs/locations - - We went out last night. Button Down was full of Chads and Bros and the dance floor was small and uncomfortably crowded. No swingers in sight—just a bunch of kids (seriously, I felt really old there at 36). We bailed at about midnight and went to Moose Lounge and it looks completely closed down forever (**EDIT**: Moose Lounge is still open, it was just apparently either closed or just REALLY dead that night). We were very sad and went back to the hotel for our own after party by ourselves (which went very well for the record). We really liked Friday night moose lounge in the past, I hope something like that starts up again.

Members, we need your help! - Your feedback is needed to get more members in your area. - As we prepare to launch the redesign of Swingular, we are also getting ready to launch an aggressive marketing campaign. As you all know, the success of Swingular not only comes from a great site, with great features that are easy to use but also from having a lot of members to choose from in each city or area. We currently utilize the normal routes to reach out to new customers but mostly rely on search engines for the majority of our referrals. Right now, the number of daily new sign ups is ok but we want to improve on that. Not only will this benefit Swingular but all of our members as it will bring in new members for you to contact. As a member, we feel your feedback can help us reach this goal so we need your help. First, how did you find out about Swingular exactly? How do you look for sites like this in general? As far as search engines go, Swingular is in the top 10 listings of most keywords such as Swingers, Adult Swingers, Swingers Ads, etc... If you found Swingular through a search engine, what keywords did you use? If not, what keywords would you use? What search engine? Do you have some other creative ideas that would help us promote Swingular? Any suggestions? A few years back, we were going to start a local host program. We scratched the idea for the time but now we are thinking of pursuing the program again. It works like this: We assign hosts in cities across the US, kind of like a franchise, for a small start up fee. Those hosts would then be responsible for promoting Swingular in their territories, provide local customer service, coordinate local parties and events as well as sponsor local parties and events. We would provide the tools necessary to help them do that such as flyers, cards, ads, banners, etc... In return, they would make 50% of all sales for their area for everyone whether they referred them or not. This would help build a bigger local presence for Swingular which in turn attracts more members. What do you think? One of our marketing strategies that we will be implementing this summer is local targeting. We have found that if we focus on one city at a time, once it starts to build, it blooms on it's own and we can move on to another city. What would be the best ways to reach you to promote a site like this? Ads in the local alternative paper? Local parties? Anything else? Again, we want to hear your ideas so we can coincide our marketing with the redesign. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Swingular Admin
