another club under fire - club in peoria - PEORIA -- City leaders in Peoria will soon consider an ordinance aimed at outlawing private swingers clubs where couples meet and swap partners.
The ordinance is aimed at a local business called Club 307. The club sits a couple of blocks from the Police Department and is reportedly a swingers club.
Mayor Jim Ardis told the (Peoria) Journal Star that the city doesn't have an ordinance preventing couples from paying to enter a club and swap partners. But he believes the city needs one.
City Councilman Eric Turner thinks many people are disgusted that Peoria has such a club.
Nobody answered a call to the phone number listed for the club on Friday, and there was no way to leave a message.
The council plans to consider the ordinance Tuesday.

"Black Ring" or other Lifestyle insignia? - - We used to go to lifestyle "conventions" back in the day. A thousand or so couples taking over a hotel. Theme dances, seminars, an expo hall with anything and everything sexual. You were given wristbands when you registered to get into all the venues. It usually took about 4 or 5 hours for people (vanillas) at nearby hotels and such to hear about what was going on start looking for who was wearing those telltale wristbands. It would get so bad people (swingers) would just take them off or try to hide them under watches and jewelry. Can't imagine something like this wouldn't fairly quickly (especially with the internet) turn out the same or worse and for some reason not too many people seem to want to be identified as swingers when they're at the grocery store or out to eat with their families or in ANY public place. 1) Yes, but how the fuck else do you get people to consider fucking you? I mean it's just TOO HARD to actually read profiles and write a thoughtful, provocative email expressing your interest and reasons why you think you might be a good match with a particular person or couple.
2) No, the forums were actually designed expressly to make it so someone has to expend as little effort as possible searching for and connecting with other like-minded swingers.

We take that approach to anyone, including. Even couples have to "prove" themselves to us. We've found more asshole married dudes than in the single male side.
I have a question for those of you that allow single females and not single males. You could use the they "bring nothing to the table" argument as well. After all, many of them don't want to play with the male half.

I work in a church and know that most members here would frown upon the lifestyle. let me add that most of them are retired while I am in my late 20's.
But a young minister that we had here, who left to head up another chruch, and I had a number of discussions about sex and whatnot.
His opnion was that he didn't think God honestly cared what we did with our sex lives, that there were more important things to be concerned with. (as long as it doesn't negatively effect others)
I'm not sure if it's a generation thing?
My wife was rasied in a baptist church which seemed to be a "not talk about sex" kinda congregation, yet she and her family are very open in their discussions, some might say (me) a little too discriptive in their talks (like grandma and her new husband) but open none the less.
My basic theology is that Jesus doesn't want you to live a life of repentance or guilt but rather that you enjoy all that life has to offer, and most importantly be decent and caring towards others, not necessarily in a sexual way but in a friendship helping way.
The bottom line is that we all screw up from time to time, but don't dwell on it, learn from your mistakes, ask for forgivenness and move on to help others.
With all that said I'll step down from my soapbox now
