I know a little about Port Charlotte, my mother moved there back in the 90's. It began as a retirement community in the 60's and it's still not an incorporated city. It's just a name of a general location in Charlotte County. The most exciting thing to ever hit Port Charlotte was Hurricane Charley in 2004.

What we weren't expecting quite so much were the MANY negative comments about how unattractive the participants were. Sure there were a few that could have hit the gym a little harder but we felt like the majority were actually quite fit and trim (and mostly quite a bit younger than we are-LOL).
