When You're Shopping the Scene... - - Yeah, it'd be kinda cool if there actually WAS some kind of universal accessory or a signal that swingers could use to ID each other out in the vanilla world. And many have tried over the years but nothing has ever really caught on (back in the day, more than a few women wore necklaces of an apple with a bite out of it). And even if something DID actually catch on, and people wore it or whatever to identify other swingers, how long do you think it would take for the internet to make that fairly common knowledge? We went to a swinger's convention in San Diego a number of years ago. The group had taken over the entire hotel and property and nobody was allowed in without a special wristband. It took about 4 hours for most of the hotel staff to learn what those wristbands meant. By the next day, people at nearby hotels, restaurants, and shopping centers had heard the news and as you passed people they would glance at you and then immediately glance down at your wrist. By that evening, most of the swingers were becoming so self-conscious that they were attempting to hide the wristbands beneath watches and bracelets. A few even pulled them off their wrists, if they were loose enough, and then put them back on when re-entering the property. So, as nice as it would be to know for sure who other swingers are, it would kinda defeat the purpose of what many of us state in our profiles...that we're discreet. I suspect that about 10% (if even) would wear a black ring and about 90% wouldn't for fear of being outed as swingers. YMMV

Lava is known as a local Idaho and Utah swingers destination and there are many there every weekend. The problem is you need to have your meet ups scheduled before arriving as it's almost impossible to sort the LS from the vanilla on site. Risqué Soiree held an event in Lava last spring that was very fun and well attended, we hope they do it again this year. It was a great event for those new to the LS or anyone wanting to meet friends. Also because it involved both Idaho and Utah there was a lot more interaction than many meet ups where people have a tendency to group up with those they already know. Lava is one of those places you will either fall in love with and visit often, or visit once to say you have been there and done that and never return. But one thing I can promise, and that is if your room is in Pocatello you'll never understand the nuances that make Lava so charming to many. If you want big fancy hotels and everything about your visit orchestrated you would be much better advised to spend your vacation in Vegas as you will not be happy in Lava. Swingers Dares - Text for cards in the game - Here is a twist you might like...when I was still living in Utah, a guy I know had the game JENGA that most of are familiar with. The fun part came in like this. He took the blocks and put numbers on about 1/2 of them (1,2,3,4....etc.). When the blocks were stacked for the start of the game, they made sure to stack them so that no one could see the numbers. Before the game started, everyone got a piece of paper with the numbers on it. Depending on the number of people playing, each person was assigned their share of the numbers. You would then write down a sexy or nasty dare or a sexy question, a different one for each number. All of the papers went into a pile and the game began. As people pulled the blocks, if you got one with a number on it, someone would find that corresponding number on the papers and whoever pulled the block had to do whatever was written on the paper. The best part was that no one knew who wrote what dares. Gets pretty exciting. Note: Ground rules that are appropriate for the group (if there are any) need to be laid out before people write down the dares so as to avoid any akward situations. The only one we came across was MM dares, but the FF ones were never a problem ;) We now have our own set of blocks here in SD. Kisses Lori

Why can't you put your face picture in your private pictures. The only people that would see it is the ones you granted access to? I am given some reasons for this from them, but most stem because of government conspiracy theories. Hoping that is not you. If you can be fooled granting access you can also be fooled sending your picture by email. I don't want to give out my email to single men or newly single men with or with out a wing woman. Assuming you are verified and I haven't checked that, but this would also insure the person you are communicating with that the picture is indeed you. Just a thought.
