Seeking New Group Admins - Revitalize your favorite group. - As a longtime group admin I can tell you that MOST of the inactivity is usually due to lack of interest/participation/follow-thru on the part of group members. We have ACTIVELY tried to hold/host group activities MANY times over the years only to be frustrated by turnout...well, LACK of turnout.
We're not sure if it's just Swingular members, swingers in general, or just human nature but we've really gone out of our way a number of times only to be disappointed. The last time was about a year and a half ago when we tried to organize a meet and greet (we actually organized SEVERAL at different times to try to accommodate as many people's schedules as possible) so that people could meet and mingle before organizing a more ambitious activity (skiing/boarding day). Between two different meet and greets we had two couples and one single female show up. So don't necessarily blame group admins for any real or perceived staleness.
So what attracted you to swinging and at what point in your life - - I married the man who helped me escape my virginity....we were each others first time. We had college friends who were swingers and when I started to feel trapped and agitated about monogamy at age 21, it was natural for us to consider the lifestyle as the best of both worlds.
Swingers cars??? - What ya driving?? - ours are still a work in progress for the mrs. a 55 oldsmobile super 88 four door with the orignal 324 and 4 speed hydromatic and i have to have a truck so if thats how it is then for me a 56 gmc with a chevy dash small back window and a in line 6 with a McCulic supercharger hopfully both will be running by next spring and they will be daily drivers as for now a 91 acura integra it makes gas and handles like the tires are glued to the pavment

Where to go, what to do. - Non club activities - Is now a good time to bring up the wrist bands, distinctive rings,and necklaces of christmas past???? Sort of joking however the idea of non-club get meets has allot of potential, look at the summer campout for instance and once there was a bowling party in a closed venue that was a blast, we went to a swingers super bowl party that was awesome, Lava Hot Springs Takeover was too much fun so we definitely think there is room for different social activities. Now on to how to recognize peeps, good luck with that one as a community swingers seem to have been trying to figure that one out since long before we started recreating.

VERY good point! We would not be real comfortable with this, either...however, we do support a lot of different rides sponsered by a lot of different groups we personally are not part of...so guess we could always pass off any questions in that manner..But, it would be nice if it wasn't really advertised as sposered by a swinger group. You're right, I think the media would jump on it..JUST for that reason!

Isn't It All About Marketing? - Interesting what people post in profiles and pictures - I find all aspects of the lifestyle interesting. One of the most interesting is what swingers post on these types of sites - who they are, what they are looking for, and their public and private pictures.
Isn't it all about market ourselves? I will not make any judgmental remarks here, because we should not be judgmental in the lifestyle; however, sometimes I wonder what they are trying to communicate.
Because I am a professional website designer I probably look at things differently, also because I am a voyeur I like to see good quality images - ones that show me something about what can be expected in sexual play.
I also wonder if I am reading/seeing more in things that are posted than are really intended - i.e., personality, intelligence, playfulness, etc.
Thus my questions:
Do people take the time here to make a good impression?
Are they trying to open doors or to close deals?
Do they do well at marketing themselves?
Do you have opinions about what is good marketing on a swinger site?

swingin - thought this site was a swingers site - Ya know what??? This all works two ways here. The most honorable Don and his faithful following continue to bash people for speaking their mind, but yet they preach that it's their right to post whatever they want. Isn't it funny that when Don thought he was gonna get banned that he got so humble and apologetic. Now that he thinks he's in admins good graces and can do what he wants, he's right back at it. Here's a thought Don.... Why don't YOU be the one to leave and start your own forum site so you can put everyone down and be in control of the whole thing? And for your information, don't be so confident that the majority has spoken. Only your followers have. I believe the real deal is that the MAJORITY ignores your idiotic antics. There, there's more fuel for your fire. You should be able to write for days now telling me what an illiterate low life I am. Have fun with it. It's my opinion that you should be gone and I'm stickin to it.
Girls that are into DP - How common is this activity among the swingers? - We have done it with toys but want to try it with the real thing. I don't really like toys. Finding the right male or another couple were the female would reciprocate to fulfill this fantasy is proving to be harder than you think. Still trying to work out the logistics. real members? - - You've struck on an interesting topic. I call them cyber swingers. They are swinger wanna be's . They find the thought of swinging erotic and interesting but they don't have the balls to actually get involved in the lifestyle. They like to hide behind the safety of their computer screen. They'll exchange email with you as long as you're willing or dumb enough to keep writing them. They'll never actually meet you or anyone else. That would be way too personal and would force them to crawl out from behind the security of their computer. Or you ocasionally run into the single guy that has created this fictional "couple". It's all a big game for him. He's just there to collect photos or maybe trick someone into playing with him because his wifes is "unavailable " at the moment. Whatever their game they're all the same because they both violate the principles of honesty and trust that the lifestyle revolves on.
We get email all the time from couples that "have read your profile--think you guys are great and want to get to know you better". That generally sends off alarm bells for us. We'll respond and exchange an email or two. If the other couple doesn't have pics posted or pics of just one of them we ask for additional photos in the first email. Since we have good pics of both of us in our profile we never send any other pics other than those posted. If we get the "don't have any pics of him or he's camera shy or don't have a camera yet" or any one of the other lame excuses we've gotten over the past year or so--that's it--you're done as far as we're concerned. We'll give out our cell phone number right away and tell them to call us or give us theirs and we'll call them. We want to speak to both of them. If we can't because one's not there we'll call back at a more convenient time when we can talk to both of them. If everything seems ok during the conversation we'll make a date to meet at a convenient restaurant or club and take things from there. This seems to work well for us. It tends to weed out the "cyber swinger" right away.
