Swingers dying out? - Is the utah swinger community dying or becoming to needy? -

I think the fact that the site hasn't offered lifetime membership specials for so long has really impacted people's ability to connect with newer couples.
Contrare, Mr. Mork. Last month, our lifetime membership was $35. just sayin...
what you got your lifetime membership for $35...shit they charged me $35.50, and what happened to the endless supply of former Victoria secret models living in the salt lake valley that they promised at my every whim? What ever happened to the good old days when a handshake was a promise...not a way to ejaculate.

Swinging and LDS... - Are the two compatible? I know this is a huge can of worms... - We were talking to someone we thought was a "vanilla" friend last night. She has told us in the past how she is a total LDS member and "very religious", yet we just found out that she is and has been in the lifestyle for quite a while. We are a bit perplexed. While we are not LDS, we assume the church would frown on the lifestyle. Is this not the case? Or are LDS'rs living a "double life"? We all do to a certain extent, we don't advertise that we are swingers. But, to you who are active LDS members, how hard is to maintain while attending church? To those who are not and have dated LDS members, is it difficult to have poly relationships with members? What are some of the obstacles? We do like her very much.

Swingers cars??? - What ya driving?? - 78 MG midget

Now that you're one of them there fancy swingers... - - I play as a single male (although sometimes I bring a vanilla swirl along to an event or something) but I've always had good experiences with people I meet up with. I have also had nothing but good experiences at parties, so I guess I'm pretty lucky that way. For me, the lifestyle hasn't exactly turned me into a sex snob or anything like that, but I have gotten used to the open attitudes. It has become much harder (and not in the good way) to play with vanilla females who don't have those same attitudes. Not in the sense of I'm coming on too strong or pushing boundaries harder, but just that "normal" attitudes towards sex and sexual exploration in the LS are different than those in the single scene.

Curious Question - - Actually POOHBEAR... its a major secret society, (swingers), that have been practicing underground in this area, away from public opinion ever since the pioneers came west. Recently it was exposed by the 20/20 news show and now everyone wants to get in on the action. Seriously... most of the western area of Nev, Utah, Ariz. etc is desert and the cities grow where ever water is available. That means alot of empty space in between cities. As for the number of people in lifestyles... I think alot of us just got bored and had to find something better to do than go bowling at night. You are right however, there are alot of very wonderful people out here.. Best of luck to you on your move and relocation. Cyndi

Christain Swingers? - - Just look at Solomon. David and others that are cincidered to be like God. hen look at history itself and who wrote most of the bible and in what era. Do the research and come too your own conclusions. We personally believe that many (most) veiw pionts are made throughh the eyes of the generations of the present. i.e. Gay used to mean happy. Now it means your homosexual. Words have their orginal meaning change over time just what is perceived to be right or wrong changes with the times. Yes you can be a christian. That statement only me believe in christ nothing else. Me

Crickets! - -

Damn....The forum is as dead as the economy. Take heart swingers, don’t lose faith. Human kind will prevail, Sex will prevail.
We thought the forums and the chat would have more activity. Instead everyone is too busy making memes and shopping for toilet paper.
Same I'm doing more cardio around my neighborhood in Bountiful and have gotten as far as Farmington on a good day to see maybe two other runners pass me. Before I used to pass couples, groups of seniors, and the occasional cougar pack. People have to be doing something at home instead of stressing.

Original humans as swingers? - Provocative theories based on Bonobo sexual behavior - The author of the CNN article has co-written a book "Sex at dawn: The Prehistoric Origins of Modern Sexuality" Have not read it yet, but will soon. It is interesting to see that the bonobos engage in sexual practices such as oral sex, anal sex, gay sex, and group sex, as a matter of course. Could this be the way early humans practiced their sexuality? What about pair bonding? If memory serves, from what has been observed in Emperor Penguins, they pair bond for as long as it takes to raise a chick to self-sufficiency. If the egg does not hatch, or the chick dies before then, the bond is dissolved and the two find new mates for the next season, just as when the chick is able to care for itself. Could this be the way early humans pair bonded? Would this explain the "seven year itch"? Or as Dr. Ryan says," An individual male's "parental investment," in other words, tends to be diffuse in societies like those in which we evolved, not directed toward one particular woman -- or harem of women -- and her children, as conventional views of our sexual evolution insist." Could it be that both pair bonding, and communal parenting were practiced? It seems that some societies did in fact practice some form of sexual conflict resolution, while others practiced conflict of arms. Was that an evolutional turning point? Just some questions to ponder.... Myself, I came to the conclusion that the concept of marriage as we have it originated with the agriculture , as at that time it became important to know that your possessions were going to be inherited by your offspring, independent of reading any scholarly works on the subject. So the idea that early humans lived communally and had sex communally doesn't seem too far fetched.
