People who only vaguely know of tantric massage often equate tantric massage with sexual massage. But while tantric massage can indeed be very sensual and does wake up the body's sexual energies, sexual gratification is not the point of tantric massage.
The performance of tantric massage ideally has the following goals:
To awaken the Kundalini, which is a very powerful kind of energy that lies dormant at the base of the spine. When the Kundalini is awakened, it radiates upward along the spine and accelerates the body's capacity to heal itself. To activate the chakras of the body. The chakra literally means wheel or disc in Sanskrit and it is a center of energy in the body that is located on the spine. It is said that there are seven main chakras along the spine, going from the base of the spine to the neck and head. To facilitate the body's healing in the physical, emotional and spiritual sense. Because tantric massage activates the chakras of the body, the ability of the body to heal itself is enhanced. But it is not just the physical pain that the body feels that is healed in tantric massage; even the emotional scars that the person sustains in his or her lifetime are soothed and melted away. Tantric massage also opens a person to unity on a spiritual level with the world around him or her.
The act of giving and receiving a tantric massage is a very intimate act, as it can leave the receiver in a very vulnerable state. Because of the trust and openness that tantric massage requires, it is very important that the giver of the massage is someone that the receiver absolutely trusts and is comfortable with.
In performing tantric massage, there are five points that both the giver and the receiver should keep in mind. These points are the following:
1. Tantric massage, just like any form of massage, has physical health benefits and the receiver can derive tremendous sensual pleasure from it. Both the giver and the receiver should remember that tantric massage uses pleasure to open the body to spiritual growth.
2. The giver of the tantric massage should perform the massage freely without expecting anything in return. On the other hand, the receiver of the massage should open him/herself to the effects of tantric massage.
3. Sensual pleasure does not always equate to sexual pleasure.
4. There is no limitation as to what part of the body can be touched and how it is to be touched in tantric massage, as the body's sensual receptors are not limited to the genitals. The experience itself can be very liberating. The giver and the receiver, however, should agree on what is comfortable and what is not comfortable between them.
5. Tantric massage utilizes specific massage and breathing techniques. It would be very useful to learn them.

Tantric massage is a worthwhile experience. It leads to the path not only of pleasure but also of healing, self-awareness, and harmony.
As nice as it is outside, it's even nicer in here.
Did you get a snow day today? Great day to pamper yourself.
I find that not many people know what this type of massage is and how it differs from other types of massage. How do you think it differs?
I don't care much for all of the spiritual mumbo jumbo stuff when I give/get a massage. I enjoy sensual touch that if all are in agreement goes to sexual. To each there own but that's my opinion.
Tantric is a very amazing experience. We totally believe in it and powers that follow. I have also experienced massages that lead me to my previous life and my reason for being here to include the powers I hold. Don’t discount any of it. It’s part of the universe we share.
Would love to experience one !
I'd like to watch the wife get one. How do we set this up? Is there a cost/ how much?

The practice has been around since 5000 BC. It's stood the test of time.
Actually the first know existence of massage was from cave drawings that were made in 2500 BC. But as far as Tantric goes, According to the Tantric Massage Association, it was developed in the 1980s by Andro Andreas Rothe, founder of Diamond Lotus Tantra Lounge, the first Tantra institute in Germany (1977). You really shouldn't mislead people.

But as I was saying its not my thing that is all I was saying. Others like it and I know people that really enjoy it just not my thing.

Ok! You don't like something. Why should we care that you don't like something. I realize that most men simply believe in slam bam sex and that you are apparently one of those. Maybe you should have added that. But once again WHY do we need to know that?

I can tell you just wanted an argument. So, let’s start by saying that we know that the Chinese were combining massage and spiritual healing some 2000 years before Christ. And we know that spiritual beliefs that form part of the tantra go back to the beginning of spiritual healing. So, when did spiritual healing begin and why does it matter when some modern teacher set up his Institute? Professors that work with primates will tell you that massage is done as a bonding in primates along with suckling the young. If that’s true and I accept it is a fact. What year do you think that was? Whether or not it is used in healing, or in sexual practice, or simply bonding in primates. It has little to do with the fact that massage has probably been around since the beginning of mankind as have other spiritual beliefs. So, if you want to get together in a pissing match about times and dates, I am sure that there's enough fluid to go around.
Does this help a person who does not know how to relax and lower back issues from a car accident and anxiety

Well said spiritual healing, massage and meditation can only happen with an open mind. That being said kinda sounds like the mindset needed to seually explore and share each others partners. Once you close your mind to new experiences life is a grind! Some people like to take a chance I know we have found amazing things when we have opened up our minds, well and bodies too LOL
