That's a good question. We've been wondering the same thing. We both have tumblr blogs as well and are so disappointed they are shutting down all adult content. I wonder what percentage of blogs are adult content. It seems like it will ruin the site.

All adult content will be removed starting on the 17th. There's a sticky link at the top of the feed when you launch Tumblr from your phone that explains what's gonna happen.
Just joined MeWe today. So far it seems pretty good. Nothing Ive found yet is quite as user friendly as tumblr, but MeWe is close it seems
It's nice to see that Tumblr came to their senses. All the naughty blogs are still there, now with a warning that the blog may contain "sensitive media". Many avatars can't be seen but at least the blogs are all still there.
Never was a big Tumblr follower or anything like that but in addition to MeWe I've heard a number of people talk about sex dot com. fwiw
