We are looking to go to an adults only resort in the next couple of months and looking for people that have been to some and what their experiences have been. We also wouldn't mind booking with some like minded people or find others that are going and maybe tag along (it's always nice knowing someone even if you don't play with them). We would be open to cruises as well but all the cruises we have seen have been on smaller ships/cruise lines.

This something we have not yet experienced. We end up playing on a lot of our vacations, but we have never planned a vacation around the swinging lifestyle.

What are you looking for? Each has their own strengths. We chose Hedonism after a lot of comparison because we don't like to be moderated for nakedness, like to party with fun people, wanted fun nightlife without leaving the resort and wanted a place where we could be as free as we wanted without inhibitions. If you want a more mellow place but want to be naked, Desire is fun but an older, mellower crowd for the most part. Cruises are huge and have an age range from 21 to 101. You can find what you want but limited on play areas and such. Temptations has a lot of single guys, is topless, but you can show much PDA and can get in trouble for sexual play or nudity. Sandals is a basic, adult resort. Didn't see any naked people there and definitely not a "lifestyle" place. Any place you go I would highly recommend trying to go during a takeover. We have been several times during Young Swingers Week and after talking to many who have visited all the places you have mentioned, they like Hedonism the best. Of course that is all subjective. It's our top choice. We don't go to play constantly and it isn't a fuck-fest for us. It could be but it just isn't our style. You can have sex on the beach at night if you want. Not so at Temptations or Sandals. Desire seemed to mellow for us.
Sandals isn't a lifestyle resort if that's what you're looking for. We haven't been to any of the others mentioned except for Hedonism. It was going to be a one-time event but we liked it so much we're going back again this year.
We are premier members at Temptations and we LOVE IT!. We have referrals also that can give you a taste of the premier membership if anyone is interested email us. The place has been just renovated and is a blast from sun up to well after the sun goes down. We go a lot in May and over Halloween the quality of people you meet is second to none. We have met life long friends there so we would say TEMPTATIONS IS THE PLACE!!

How is the luxury of Temptations, I have heard a few people say it wasn't very good?
We have been to most of the life style resorts and many life style cruises. The resorts include:
Hedonism - Jamaica
Grand Lido Bracco - Jamaica
Caliente Caribe - Dominican Republic
Desire - Mexico
Blue Bay Getaway - Mexico
We have not been to Temptations in Mexico or Desire in Cabo but have friends who go there every year and swear they would never go any where else. Out of the resorts our favorite is Desire in Cancun (Playa Del Carmen). In addition to a life style resort we like a resort where you can lounge around naked. Some resorts are topless or restricted to certain naked areas but Desire is much more forgiving. We some pictures of the Mrs. in the hotel lobby with nothing on but a tropical breeze. The other resort we found to be very clothing optional friendly was Caliente Caribe in the Dominican Republic. However, it's actually more of a resort for nudists than life stylers.
The life style cruises are a lot of fun. They are just getting to point now where they are able to take over a complete cruise ship. These are internationally known commercial cruise lines. The last one we went on was on a Royal Caribbean ship. They have a lot of naked activities on the pool deck. Most of them will take a massive banquet hall and convert it into a GIANT play room full of beds separated by sheer drapery material hanging from the ceiling.
We prefer the all inclusive resorts because we don't like to be land locked on the boat and enjoy being able to take off at a moments notice and go see some of the popular tourist attractions without waiting for the boat to arrive and dock.

Very nice now it was a shithole before but it was still a blast and now its very clean and very nice and it does not seem like the vibe changed at all.

It depends on what you want to do. We've been to Temptations and Hedo... Hedo is our favorite. Back there again in April.
We would definitely go back to Desire RM. Having said that, it’s probably only as good as the couples who are there at the same time. When we went most of the couples were there for the same 5 day special. We had a blast at the huge rooftop jacuzzi bar each evening.

Our vote is Desire RM (there are two Desire's in Cancun, Pearl and RM). The best part about Cancun is you can fly direct from SLC and it's a fairly short inexpensive flight so your vacation is at the resort and not in airports like you have to do to get to Hedo. We're members at RM and if you book any of the three resorts (Temptation, RM and Pearl all owned by the same group) book it through a member as you'll get some perks you wouldnt otherwise get
Pearl is a nicer, smaller resort with extremely large rooms, a massive pool and massive hot tub with a laid back vibe. Its a bit more expensive than RM and it tends to lean to a bit older crowd than RM. If you want to relax in a clothing optional resort (pretty much everyone is nude except at dinner and then the parties at night) this is your best choice.
RM is a party all day and all night, the rooms are really small unless you upgrade to a suite. The Pool is really small for the amount of people and the hot tub is tiny. Because it has twice as many rooms as Pearl you have more folks to meet and party with. The crowd is younger and stays up all night long. If you're looking to really party at a clothing optional (pretty much everyone is nude except at dinner and then the parties at night) resort this would be our choice.
Temptation is the least expensive of the three and it's a topless resort. The amount of swingers at this resort is the least of the three. You will find lots of folks just dipping their toes in the water here. It also allows single people to come so you'll find single guys at this resort where Desire is couples only. They've recently remodeled it and we've been told good and bad since the remodel. If you're not a swinger or just testing the water this is the resort we'd go to.

We are returning to Temptation in 3 weeks for our 8th trip. We love it there. It is a fun, high energy nonjudgemental party m place. Their unofficial motto is ‘no one knows you and no one gives a shit’. Everyone is friendly, and you know a lot of people shortly after you arrive. Although it is a party place, there is a quiet pool for a more relaxing scene. They do not promote the lifestyle, but it seems there are always lifestyle people there. Given you’re LDS though, it may not be a good fit, as it is a heavy drinking place. Hit us up if you have more questions!

If you ever get a chance to do the Young Swingers Week at Hedo (especially in March) do it! In March they take over the entire resort and limit the guests in age and only couples...no single dudes. One member of the couple has to be 45 or under. The people that go are amazing! We made friends all over the US and Canada and have places to stay if we are travelling. Just spent Halloween in Denver with a couple we met at YSW at Hedo. They have theme nights every night, play rooms, top shelf alcohol, good (not great) food, day time activities (including free daily scuba trips if you are certified), four or five on resort restaurants (as well as the buffet), no tipping allowed and a lot more. We like spending our days layng on the beach or partying in the nude pool where you have hundreds of fully naked people around you all the time. The resort has a mandatory nude side and a clothing optional side. The resort is designed for swingers instead of just being lifestyle friendly especially when YSW takes over. It is truly an amazing experience that we highly recommend trying at least once...and once you have been, you will go back. We can not recommend it outside of YSW weeks because we have heard there can be lurking single men.
