Directions: Go to Exit 84 from I-80 and head out onto Stansbury Island. Cross both sets of railroad tracks. Careful, the dirt road sucks! 4WD is not required but you can easily blow out a tire.
Go passed the rock quarry on the right. Go passed the Interpretative Trailhead sign on the right. Now, start looking left. Take your next left onto a two track dirt road heading West. Follow this dirt road and be sure to bear right (don't go "up and over" the sand road. Cars can get stuck.) Follow the dirt road out to the "beach" area.
Bugs: They are there. A light breeze keeps most of them away. Bug spray is almost worthless (and tastes terrible. LOL ) If it is really buggy, don't park in the vegetation. Park about 50 feet onto the salt.
Salt: It is everywhere. It won't hurt you. No, don't go driving on it. You'll get stuck, we will all laugh at you, and then we'll come pull you out.
Water: There is NONE! Bring lots, Lots, LOTS of water. I usually bring a portable shower to cool off and clean off. Bring a spray bottle to wet yourself down.
Play: Some play does occur. Be respectful of others and share! LOL Don't be shy.
Creeps: Yes, there are some. There always is whereever you go. Just shoo them away. But also say hi to the rest of us. We are friendly.

Just a note to the newbies if you go out on the lake beds away from the sagebrush the bugs are almost non-existent. they are way worse in the sagebrush.

This creepy picture beach is sounding more and more like a creepy picture single male beach. #singlemales. Lol
Like any nude beach there are more male bathers than female sunbathers. There are several regular couples that go out there and a few weeks ago I even saw 2 ladies in their mid twenties there from Florida passing through enjoying the sun au natural. The flow seems to be like LGBT hangs out at the North End and couples at the South End.
Just an FYI. We've seen nude (or at least topless) sunbathers at more than a couple of the lakes up the canyons. Most recently at both Lake Mary and Lake Catherine. If you hike on a Sunday there are fewer other hikers to bother you and I've yet to see a cop or a ranger or whatever up any of those trails so I don't think that getting a ticket or whatever is much of a risk. The REAL risk is sunburn since you're at about 9000 feet above sea level (give or take) if you don't wear, like, 1000 SPF sunscreen you WILL burn. Also, the water is pretty fucking cold. On the plus side I've yet to see a single brine fly. 
Oh, and I've only ever seen one couple having sex up there so if you're expecting a swinger orgy you probably have a much better chance out on the mudflats by the GSL.

All this coming from a guy with zero pics other then his disgusting feet. Admin you need to clean up the group and rid people like this or your new members won't stick around. It makes it really hard for people to get together, make friends and grow the community. If anyone's ever gotten hassled by me out there it's because they were either shooting guns West of the dirt road which is illegal or you were sexually harassing a family, other couples or my wife and I out there. Even at that Ive done so very respectfully and personally and have never ever threatened or harmed anyone out there. If anything I'm the 100% opposite I've always been very kind welcoming and friendly. So I'm pretty sure this person which doesn't even know me is either just being a jackass or has been a pervert out there and I've hurt his feel bads out there and had to tell him to back away or leave the wife and I alone.....
My wife and I sometimes will go to Saltair then just walk East on the beach aways and layout or even at Black Rock but they're typically no other naked people out there and it's pretty risky. We're nudists and aren't aware of anywhere else other then monthly indoor clothing optional swims.
There a lot of fun there's usually some music a potluck and 30 to 50 other naked people. they do follow aanr standards it is not sexual but still a great time

A little slower but that's typically when we go so it's a little cooler we usually go Sunday evenings
