You guys were great to camp with this last year. You were the life of the camp. Though painful to watch the crafty hat work, os detailed for such a dirty location.

We would definitely be interested. We attended last year and worked our butts off and want to find a chill camp if we attend this year. We also do the regional burn every year.
I hope this is an open chat- We are looking for a burn group. Hoping to go this year. Do you know if they are sold out yet or when tickets go on sale?
Tickets will g on on sale in about 1 month. We are looking at having a camp which will help all the camp member get tickets ahead of the general sale.
Whisky_girl I have been 5 years but never part of a camp until last year. last year simplepleasures did it all right. They had an amazing camp that balances time and cost extremly well. Sadly they are not going this year but we are going to try to replicate that level of effort, activity and reward they had.

If you are part of a theme camp or art exhibit then it’s possible to receive work permits that allow you in early. We have always asked for Wednesday passeses and go in 4 days early to set up camp.

i havent done alot of event , can anyone tell me whats the burning man ?
Hotlatino1295 it's a week long art and music festival. You can youtibe it to get a better idea. We are only looking for couples to join our group though.
We always tell people to watch YouTube videos to get an idea of what BM is about. Then. Ou have to go to understand that all you thought you knew as completely wrong and you question why the hell I am sweating, dirty in the desert.
Then by the end of the week, you don’t want to go home. You want it to last. Then as the burners say “you have to go back to the default world” then spend a month or two reacclimatizing...
Couple additional suggestions. Go to the burning man website. Spend, well it will take many hours to read it. Subscribe to jackrabbit speaks. Join several BM groups. For those wanting to run a theme camp, there is a theme camp group.
However, before ever going to the big burn. Attend the regional burn here in Utah in July. 4 days of a smaller version of the big burn. The Utah burners put on an amazing regional burn. The word is getting out. They are now selling out on tickets. I suspect it will get much worse as more hear about element 11. Unlike burning man that sells out of tickets in less than a minute. That’s like over 40,000 tickets sold that haven’t already been assigned to caps etc. E11 I heard took a day or two to sell out. If apogee in Colorado sells out in a couple minutes.
One comment tha is often said to newbies, it will either make your relationship so much stronger, or it will kill it.
We are unable to attend this year but we are more than happy to offer any and all suggestions for making the burn work for you.
Perhaps the best reason for some to attend. There are three marijuana dispensaries in Reno. And with pot in Nevada legal, a full week to get plowed without your kids or pets around. Knowing that you can’t bring it back to Utah will insure that you use it all..

Already been looking for accessories and reading up on dust masks. Just have to make sure we have a trailer. Can't wait. On that note, been reading that the dust is horrible on things like wheel bearings and to not bring nice bikes because the dust trashes them. Also, some people have recommended using wheel covers on your vehicle. Any thoughts on that? Overboard?
It's true about not bringing nice bikes. We just got cheap ones off ksl. You want a beach cruiser, nothing with gears
We have never used wheel covers and that may be slightly overboard but I can see the utility of it. Just think of fine powder getting blown into stuff. It eats up glue and things like that.

We have always wanted to go if we can get tickets. They always sell out and havent been able to get tickets previous years. Would be nice to be in a camp! Count us in if the ticket issue can be solved.

It's not about that (sex) at all. It's about the BUGS!...and the heat and the sand.
Hey it's really what ever you want it to be. I have never seen open sex there. I am sure most people that go donr have sex with anyone other than thier partners.

Good sources and Burning man report heavy police activity in Nixon. BIA(reservation police) have undercover cars and marked vehicles pulling over vehicle inbound for minor traffic violations to include speeding, driving to slow, improper lane travel and anything that they can use to stop you, One stopped they are using drug dogs to sniff vehicles and searching almost every vehicle they stop. Basically leaving all you vehicle contents on the side of the road for you to repack. So even if you don't have any contraband they are causing a real inconvenience and causing traffic backups. This was reported by individuals arriving early to build and set up the event and they were even being harassed.
If your headed over there make sue all your lights are working and watch your speed. Safe travels to everyone going and have a great burn.
