The group's on the main site used to be great, and even now I created one for finding friends to golf with but was never notified about new members and they weren't notified about post's.
In order to drive more traffic but cut down on unwanted email, can you have a subscription page? Also, it would be nice to have different folders within the inbox.

It's not that difficult to separate them, or it shouldn't be

Yes, it shouldn't be, but you do realize that your talking about a site that still has a "10th year anniversary" badge on it.... SEVEN years later!
