I'm new to the scene and would love to get some direction/guidance with:
- Local places we all go to (Bars, Clubs, etc.)
- Advice for single men in the scene
- Unwritten rules/things to be cognizant about
To keep it short, I'm looking for a mentor, whether it be a male or female.

#1 that pisses off everyone is don't ever be a flake. If someone contacts you, whether you want to hook up or not, have the courtesy to respond to them. That will go a very long way to enhancing your image.

Unless that's specifically the scene you are looking for and only want to play in you might want to seriously reconsider your screen name. A HUGE misconception among single males looking to play in the lifestyle is that most, or even many, married males are cucks looking for a bull to fuck their wives. While there certainly are some that are into that scene they are a very small minority of swingers. You might want to check out some cuck-specific websites or maybe even some Hotwife sites rather than swinger sites if that's your thing.

And don't use a picture of a girl in you thing either. Lots of single guys do that and girls won't talk to you.

Thank you for the insight here, unfortunately I haven't come across any sites with such a strong presence as this one.

Thank you, I'll update it shortly.
Also I recommend a detailed profile of what you are interested in/looking for. A lot of single guys just throw up a few things and none of it makes one different from the next guy.
Another bit of advice. If you're going to reach out to people read their profiles first, thoroughly, to make sure you might be someone they would be interested in or are looking for. If you're not, don't contact them. Blind friend requests are, more often than not, a waste of time and slightly annoying to people who simply aren't interested in you. At VERY least, if you're going to contact someone, give them some kind of compelling reason as to why they should choose you. There are a LOT of single guys out there and, despite what some may think, women or couples usually aren't going to just select a random guy simply because he shotgunned out a bunch of friend requests and/or some generic email that sounds like, "To whom it may concern" or "Dear occupant".
