We get so many blind friend requests - and we delete them all. So damn annoying. Why not kill two birds with one stone? Eliminate the friendship request button. Make the "add friend" option a radio button to select or not when sending a message?
We are new here and I am totally confused by this friend request thing stuff
What is a "Blind" friend request? Wanna make sure we are not committing this bad habit.
Is there a preferred way to be contacted for the first time?
We are a way fun and cool couple and a bad first impression can really take the wheels off this exciting ride...

I am new, I don't know what the blind friend requests are... I had people just send friend requests, but wasn't interested in them.
Is it the etiquette here to message first? You can always delete them if you accepted the friend request right?

It is really nice if there are photos of both partners. I don't mind Blind requests but not even being able to introduce both of yourselves can make one think the worst
We don't mind blind requests as we just delete them, but when you get one from the same guy every weeks for months it's a bit much.

We use the blind request (sending a friend request without a message) on a few occasions. Maybe the couple, or person, doesn't have any pictures under their normal folder, but they have a friend folder. We use it then to see if they are appetizing to us. Or maybe the pictures they have just don't show much and we are hoping they have better pics in the other folder. Typically we accept blind requests, except from single men, as we get way too many of those. We also deny people access to our folder if they don't have any pics to share or only have a few that don't reveal what they really look like. We don't love, nor hate, the blind requests. We just take it as a compliment, or that someone has an interest but might be looking for a few more photos to see what we look like, though our main folder has quite a few. Maybe a "flirt" button should be added somewhere?
Dragontime, my guess is that since you have no pics of the male half under your main page that people are just trying to see what he looks like. We have never understood why some profiles only show the woman and not the man. To each their own, but my wife has as much to say about who we meet and who she is interested in as I do, so having pics of both of you is important, at least to us. If I am looking at couples and they only have pics of her I sometimes worry that he is not cute. But that is why, I assume, you may be getting a lot of blind requests.

Whining about blind friend requests is DUMB... NO ONE can see your private pics (or ours for that matter) unless you are friends. It's like bitching because your ice is too cold. A friend request gives you an opportunity to look at the pics, if you don't like what you see un-friend them. If that does not work for you there is always Craigslist... and good luck with that. That is all.

We've been polite for months but blocked him yesterday (literally every week for months), if his photo's are as bad as his manors I'd run....
We never really have been bothered by Blind friend requests. We would rather have too many requests than too few. lol.
That's why people fill out the profile. There is a lot of info about who sent the request on their page. We can read a profile page and know if we're interested or not.
