Thanks.
We have never done canyoneering but we are open to that. Love to hike and camp.
We love doing things like that!
I have a little bit of technical experience in canyoneering. Although sometimes I tend to get it wrong.
Nice pic of neon canyon!!
Bjoandc,

No worries about not having much experience. We love introducing folks to it that are excited to be among the red rocks. I've taught Canyoneering for years and have ample gear sets to share. It's a great family activity. Our kids all descend canyons with us.
Beardedandred,

We'd be happy to teach you a few things so when your on your own you don't "tend to get things wrong".
That's awesome. I love coyote gulch. It's not a technical canyon but amazing beauty.
We spend most of our southern Utah trip in San Rafael Swell and just LOVE it..
Hate to say we sold are rack of Climbing gears a few years back.
Davis gulch...that's the one Everet ruess disappeared in...yes?
We are new to doing this, but we had a great time trying and would love to go with someone more experienced.
So jealous you got a havasupui permit. The last time I tried getting that permit I called the reservation for two days and then gave up. Congrats.
I tried for havasupui permits this year too. It was a bust. We had 8 people calling even.
You know what I love about Canyoneering....all of the mud slinging..... /\ (eye roll)

A first for everything ... seeing Everett's name on a swinger site. He would have loved it. His mules were found penned at Davis but they never found him in that canyon or any other around there despite a lot of looking. Lot of different theories as to what happened to poor Everett. My favorite is that some local Escalante boys killed him and hid the body because he wouldn't stop boning the local Mormon girls.
This is how we have fun in the Canyons

Did you try using the add reply tab at the top left of this page?
Its good to see so many active outdoor oriented couples! Here is a shot from a trip we did down Death Hollow a few years back.
Apparently the photo upload is not working.
We are very interested in going on some beautiful hikes.
We're interested as well! Been down to Subway canyon a couple times and loved it!
Another try at adding the photo . . .

That is in Death Hollow, one of the best backpacking trips in Utah. The upper stretch is technical canyoneering but you can get in easier from the Boulder Mail Trail.
Ordeinchaos

Death hollow is beautiful. I've only accessed the lower half from the boulder mail trail. I want to do the upper half.
we have set a 2017 goal of 10 weekend hikes in so. utah, heavily weighted towards slot canyons. 1 down and 9 to go. we did bell/little wild horse this past weekend. peekaboo, zebra and spooky are next on the list.

would love to team up with a group possessing a wave/coyote butte permit. have applied 9 times and still no permit.
We are headed to go canyonerring this weekend. We would love a weekend of fun with nature and adults:)
The hole in the rock road (to spooky) is messed up right now. There is a thread on canyon collective aboyt road conditions that shares how to get updates. Fwiw.
Bump...it's canyon season. Any interest on here?
Throw us in the mix too... cant seem to find the time to get out and get certified class I yet, maybe this will kick us in the butt? ;)
We would love to join a group event
We live and work in Monument Valley. We also lived in Moab for 6 years and know our way around the canyons there. Hit us up sometime your in Southern Utah and we would like to join up with you guys.

Always and interest! We'll just have to work to make some time.
We love Canyoneering but haven't had a chance to go for a couple of years. We're hoping this is the year. Went rappelling today.
If you still looking we would love to join in on some hikes
Hey St. George couple here. Started canyoneering almost 20 years ago and would love to put together a trip with some like minded friends! We wouldn't be able to till next fall but would love to chat more and see what you're thinking.
We usually go to either strawberry River camping spots or soapstone atving fishing nothing like having drinks around a camp fire so anybody else that likes those area's let's talk
